I want to embed a clip too!
What a great feeling this game was, going in with a 4 man squad and have all of us survive all the way 'till the end:

How's the game after the latest patch on X1X?

Pretty good, although the servers were all sorts of laggy last night (for a while).

I want to embed a clip too!

I vastly prefer wholly intact squad dinners over half dead squad dinners. I think it's quite an accomplishment to be the last squad FULLY standing.

Since the last patch have they changed the amount of circles there are overall? It feels as the game moves a lot faster and a lot more people are alive at the end now. I'm not sure if I like it.

Which do we prefer? Clips or DVR? I've been using both interchangeably.

Last night's squad dinner:

Clips is cutting of 3/4 of the video frame when embedded. DVR seems fine. This is on mobile though so maybe that's not ironed out just yet?

This is what Clips looks like to me when embedded.

There's just always been some games where people avoid conflict and it ends up with 40-50 people left in the 4th to last circle lol.

I do think FPP may have increased the frequency of this happening though, in those playlists.

Well I posted one of the clips of the military base glitch. And ten seconds searching on YouTube leads me to how it works and it meshes perfectly with the directional sounds of the bullets that killed us. I'm not saying he didn't do some kind of glitch, but from the clip it is petty to report him because all you see is a janky looking death in a janky looking game, and no the other player actually doing anything wrong or unreasonable. Chances are you've gotten kills on people when they were seeing something completely different as well.

Petty to report him? If he didn't do anything wrong then he won't get in trouble, they will look into it and decide

Nah something has definitely changed. Either the timing of the circle has changed or the number of total circles has. Before I'd get maybe 20-30 people now it's consistently above 30 even upto 50, especially in squads. I have yet to be in a game that has gotten less than 20. Games also seem a lot shorter now because of it.

Circles haven't changed.

Same time in between each one. Same # of circles.

Do you really think they're going to investigate your incident?

That's just been the Xbox meta though. Lack of fights in the early game leading to shit show circles towards the end.

Does anyone else have the inventory glitch happening to them?
The inventory has all sorts of issues. But yes there are times when I'm on a care package or something and can't pick anything up. In squads I occasionally have a teammate pick up an attachment off a body or something and drop it elsewhere so I can actually pick it up. And then sometimes the menu is sort of working but you lose the highlight of the item you're on. Sometimes it happens on say a weapon and it will be highlighting your utility belt or something like you should be able to swap the two but obviously you can't.

But hey they can't even get the main menu to work. Everything they add seems to come in the most amazingly incompetent form possible. Like the X-man squad. Great that it's there now! But... why can't you invite your friends when it's set to 1-man squad or 2-man squad and just grow from there? That's the whole point of the setting isn't it? Nope you have to go to regular squad, get everyone in, then downsize it to X-man squad. And hopefully you don't forget that last step and jump in a lobby with a random.

The main menu also constantly forgets where it is. Like you'll be on the LB option, but you won't be able to press RB to move right until you press LB first again for no reason.

Or... if you go mess with the sliders for sensitivity... they are in different spots for the same sensitivity value depending on if you move them to that position from the left or the right.

That kind of stuff wouldn't fly in a first year Comp Sci class! I'm kind of shocked that there is somehow a mostly functional game here.

Jesus Christ tonight was a wild ride. I played 3 matches, a crazy rollercoaster of emotions.

----

The first one started well enough, I was looting up North before moving all the way South to loot some far away houses. I kill a dude who comes in but another one comes in knowing my exact position and kills me. #30 or so.

----

Second one was absolutely mad. I'm well equipped and I'm going around in my bike trying to stay out of the action. Not far from the final circles my bike crashes into an invisible block that turns my bike around. Okay.

Anyhow, with about 10 people to go I get off my bike next to a hill and crawl to the circle that is close up. I damage a guy and kill another, and with the final circle in place and only two people left, I slowly crawl around the grass that takes the whole of the circle. There is nobody I can find anywhere. Then this happens.

Where the fuck were those two? Outside of the circle? How did the last guy survive? I don't get it.

----

Last match was a wild one too. I wasn't too well equipped but I got a bike soon enough, so I ran. I ran over 2 guys in like 15 seconds and nearly killed another one a minute later. Then another rollercoaster of emotions was awaiting me:

From slaughtering to nearly slaughtered. Unluckily the game crashed soon after. When I came back my bike was nowhere to be seen and I had like 2 inches of health as I stood out in the blue circle. I died of course.

----

I am currently #211 in Europe thanks to yet another Top 10. This game is certainly varied, gotta give it that.

Did anyone else get a survey from Microsoft game studios about this? Most of the questions are what you expect but there's a few specific ones about the controls so maybe that's a focus?

For the next question, 'responsiveness' refers to how quickly your character, vehicle, or weapon moves after you start moving your controller or pressing a button. If the character moved the instant you started moving the controller, that would be perfect responsiveness.

How easy was it for you to physically use the buttons on the controller due to the controller layout? For example, if it was difficult to hold a button while also pressing another button with the same hand, that would be considered very difficult. *

Was the rubber banding/lag this bad on PC?

Because holy shit this is terrible and it's the only game I have issues like this with.

Based on friend comment that has this game on PC, much much worst.

Yes, I'm done this is shit. My frame rate on the X was under 30 nearly the whole fucking match. It lagged like crazy and is absolutely unenjoyable.

I'll come back after many more patches

I honestly had more fun with my buddies witnessing glitches and just silly crap. But once it got down to the last zone slowly moving in....it turned into a terrible blast fest of lag. You couldn't even aim properly

I wonder when we'll learn more about the sales numbers for PUBG for Xbox One? I thought we were supposed to learn something this week, and I was hoping for some other announcement to follow if Microsoft was teasing the sales numbers. Granted, it's only the middle of the week, but I was hoping it would be sooner in the week than later.

It's definitely at least 3 million at this point.

You're standing on top of the bunker network. Presumably they were inside. If you had some heals and started using them a little bit before the wall crushed you, you might have gotten the win.

Aww shit, you must be right. Unfortunately I only had a couple bandages, if I didn't panic (first time I see the ultimate circle closure) I could have had the time to use one, but nothing more.

Either way it seems a bit of an oversight that this can happen. I don't know where the entrance is exactly but it sure as hell was not inside the last 2 circles. Once you committed to the grass or the underground, you had no way to change your position anymore, killing any possibility of a fight and reducing it to a war of attrition and items. Don't think it should happen that 2-3 circles are in such a way that the remaining people, if in two different places, can't physically meet anymore.

That's part of the challenge. That happened to us in an apartment in George. Final circle was half inside and half outside the back side of one of the three stories. Me and a squad mate were under the stairs and the other team was outside. The circle closed entirely and we had the most health and survived longer. >:]

Happens in fortnite also. I've won a few matches due to the circle closing completely and having myself barricaded from gunfire and having more health/heals.

I was saying that rubber band -not framerate- is worst on PC ha

Yeah, the last circle is one thing, but at least 2 (if not 3) circles excluded any entrance to the tunnel. Let's say you could survive a run with 2 circles to go through the blue zone, the final circle was way too small to even run for it considering you'd be dead in like 8 seconds. Or turn it around: you're deep into the tunnel and the circle closes on a walled off area. You are literally unable to go to the circle without going out into the blue circle and die. Not a huge fan of this possibility - it's rare and remote I guess, hence it happened to me once in what, 30 hours? But it's an ending that takes away any chance of a fight, and I'm not a fan of that. It's a #2 place that feels really weird because there was nothing to do in the final 5-7 minutes to avoid it. Oh well, it is what it is.

still crashing.

They really need to turn the nade radius down. Shouldn't be killed from 2 rooms over.

they are both equally bad on console.....although the stuttering I think annoys me more than the framedrops....seems like there is frame pacing issues possibly as well?

It's not a very enjoyable experience overall.......needs a LOT of work.

My crew had the worst bug ever 2 nights ago, but apparently it's happened to a few others.

So it's down to 7 of us (3 left on my team) and it's ending in the tunnels area near Gatka. We kill a team of 2 so there are 2 other players left, but we are forced out of the tunnel area into the open fields. Just as this happens by chance that darn Hypezone on Mixer hosts us so we gain like 300 viewers for the next to happen...

We kill a player by the tree which put's it a 4 players, including the 3 of us. It's at the final circle where it sits for 5ish minutes before closing in and killing everyone. It's in a wide open field with just a few bushes. THERE IS NO OTHER PLAYER. We grided the entire thing, no one was proning, no one was in a bush there was 100% no other player with us. The final circle that kills you before you can even use a first aid finally closed in, killed all 3 of us and we got 2nd. The only thing we can think of is he might have been glitched under the world somewhere possibly.

Yeah, grenade radius is insane. If you start running immediately after seeing one you might only lose like 50% health, but I've been victim to far too many "random" grenades that just happened to be fairly close to me.
