The problem is if Lego finds images hosted here that have been ordered taken down elsewhere, resetera will most assuredly receive a DMCA and will most assuredly be put on the Lego ninja watch list and then your going to put more scrutiny on us.
I know. What I don't know is whether there's any groung behind the DMCA.

That's a completely stupid behavior, too... I remember when the DVD association tried to go against the propagation of DVD crypto keys. People replied by posting it everywhere (even producing T-shirts) In a matter of days, everyone had seen it.

I really need to stock-take and figure out what I'm missing.

I can see from Brickset how many packs I'm missing, but I think that the only content I'm missing now is Chima. I wish there was an easy way to find out, like, just inputting all the packs you've got and a site tells you what levels/worlds you're missing and what to buy or something.

Seems like something that should have existed.

Fun fact: I haven't even played Dimensions yet!

To be honest I'm not sure there's any real legal grounds for Lego's takedowns. Pictures of leaked upcoming products would probably be considered news, at least in the US, and as such be protected speech.

That said, it probably doesn't matter too much for most sites, since they wouldn't want to go against Lego's legal team regardless of whether or not they're in the right.

There's a seller on eBay with the chima packs for $1.79 and fs at the moment.

So I broke the promise that I wouldn't buy any more Lego today. I found Web Warriors ultimate bridge battle on a clearance sale and got it for half of the regular retail price. It was just too good of a deal to let it go. It contains a lot of minifigs that I really wanted so I am stoked about that. However my display doesn't really have any place for a bridge, so I have build something else from the bricks. Anyone got any suggestions?

Meteor crash site? Spider-Man is fighting foes over space junk all the time, perhaps make it a meteor crashed into a building

Yeah I was thinking something like that, or a condemned building or something.

Alternatively since I'm going abroad and won't open it for at least 6 months, just sell it at a profit in a year or so. I guess that depends on how the price develops. I really want to keep the minifigs though, and it has so many parts that would be good for MOCs.

I'm playing through the games in release order, but I reach stumbling blocks when I hit a franchise I've not yet seen, because I liked to get a grounding in the original before playing the spoof; I caught up with Harry Potter and read the final books before playing the games (at which point I realised that the games were more based on the films, but near enough!), and the later POTC films before playing that one.

I'm up to 2014 and Lego Hobbit, but that's pending watching the movie trilogy (and I'll have to do the same for the Jurassic Park family of films - like I was for POTC, I've seen the first, but no further - before I can actually get up to Dimensions itself)

There is a official lego dimensions app on the iPhone. It even supports using your camera to scan boxes which auto identifies the set , you can then "add to collection". I'm breaking my sets down and I'm using the app so I will know if I'm missing any.

Ship in a Bottle has been revealed. 69,99 in the three big currencies (probably more expensive in Euro-countrys that are not Germany, as usual)

Bottle looks great, but the ship is a bit to stumpy to me. The original ship wasn't a lot bigger, but seemed to be more elegant and detailed. Not sure why they changed it. Probably stability or because of illigal connections?

OMG! How did they ever get that large model ship through the tiny mouth!

(Really excited for this set. Such a great idea).

It's kind of disappointing and expensive to me, I love how the original build's ship looked. I think I'll pass on this one.

Would be amazing if they actually had you build the bottle first and with some folding trickery have the ship pit in trough the neck :P

Anyway, I'm getting this as a desk piece. I'm in Germany the second week of February, so I hope I can hop into the Lego Store and grab it at 70 euro's in stead of whatever it'll cost here in Belgium (my guess: 80)

Februari 1st? What are the odds that the anniversary set is still available by then? Really annoying (and 100% intentional) that they release Downtown Diner two weeks before the promotion and this two weeks after. I'm so getting one and replacing the ship with the mini Barracuda.

Speaking of, I got the Diner but waiting until tomorrow to build it with a friend. I just had a look at the detailed pictures... holy crap, are those side windows as simple as they look?

Which ones? The round ones or circular ones on the top floors?

And yes, they are as simple as they look. Both times. But the side rectangular windows were some sorcery.

Honestly with Ship in a Bottle I think all they really need to do is make the tip of the ship look a little better or more natural and it would look a lot better. Doesn't even seem like it would be that tough of a fix.

It coming out on February 1st means that I can buy it and a few other sets to get the 60 Years of LEGO freebie.

I waited for clearances for Sopwith Camel and Haunted House. That didn't go well for me...

So I only wait for discounts now for sets I am on the fence about.

yeah i got screwed waiting for a 90$ deal on the TFA 75105 falcon and had to pay 10$ over msrp at shopdisney. never again.

p.s. ill be ordering parisian restaurant + cinderellas night (for my daughter) when the 60th anniversary promo comes up. cant wait

The seams should have been along the top and bottom, not running vertically in front of the model. The ship seems like a fairly poor effort, but that wouldn't necessarily be a deal-breaker by itself since this will probably be a display for MOCs more often than not.

Does the shop not go through the neck then?

Hoping there might be some mods to better ships but it looks like a day one for me - pushes the same buttons as the creator vehicles are

I have got £10 worth of VIP points that I have accumulated over the past eighteen months so, adding those on top will bring the price down to a slightly more reasonable £60! I am hoping that the little 60th Anniversary set shall be available on - or around - the 1st of February too...

I do prefer the ship in the original LEGO Ideas model, but it is what it is.

The anniversary set shoud be available. And maybe you can fit in the mini-Pirate ship from that set in the bottle!

That reminded me I have £30 saved up in points. And we move offices to Soho on Jan 29th so I'm within walking distance of the Leicester Square store. I guess it was meant to be :)

Sounds like the Nexo Knights line is coming to an end, with no new sets planned for this summer. The early 2018 sets are the last of 'em.

Would love to see another sci-fi themed line, but that's probably not happening with yearly Star Wars material.

Maybe a Fantasy themed line? Like a Dungeons and Dragons type theme. Hell, even a new Monster Hunters theme would be cool.

Well, at least traditional Castle fans should be happy, since that theme should be coming back soonish.

ONE. DAY. LATE. :(

Not joking. I swung by Walmart on Monday for groceries, made note of the clearance prices on LEGO being the same as last week, went about my business. Today I see people in the thread talking about clearance so I swing by after work and it's gone. Gone! :(

However, I did buy...

76080 GotG2 Ayesha's Revenge $15.00
76079 GotG2 Ravager Attack $9.00
75149 TFA Resistance X-Wing Fighter $30.00
75155 Rogue One Rebel U-Wing Fighter $35.00

Also, some of you are probably going to want to strangle me for this but I saw and passed on Destiny's Bounty at $79. Stared at it, calculated the piece/cost ratio, debated it, then put it back.

I can't vouch for the sets I just bought but the Milano was a nice build, and if you can find it on clearance well worth it (I paid $40). Cockpit's a little cramped so you won't get everyone in it.

You know it was resellers that came in and swooped that shit up with a quickness. Damn good prices too.
And yes, I am mentally strangling you through the internet for passing on Destiny's Bounty at that price.

How good were the GotG2 sets btw?

I only got the Milano. It was solid, but a big downgrade from the 2014 model.

My daughter's watching the Studio Mir animated Lego Elves season right now... it's kind of surprising to me that it's not actually a "legoized" cartoon.

Could've made some money on that destinys bounty eventually

Resellers are watching amazon, stuff disappears fast but amazon tends to trickle stock in over time. Batwing has been in and out of stock the past day or so.

I finished the Downtown Diner and man, this set is great. There are a few steps that are a bit difficult before things lock together, but this is truly a Psiaki build. Everything is calculated and comes together in weird ways, and the finished building looks like nothing before it. I'm immediately inspired to start a new street with 50's inspired stuff, even though I'm still out of space. I will seriously have to start demolishing stuff.

I think one way to describe this is that it looks really simple, almost plain. Then you look closer at the details and see all the stuff that looks impossible to actually put together. Then you actually do it, and see that it's actually really simple after all. This is not just a set, it's a master builder class. Both the different types of side windows use techniques that will be immensely helpful in future builds that I couldn't have thought of in a million years.

I'm not sure that I want to leave Jamie modulars behind, but if these guys could alternate every other year, we'd always get fresh stuff.

Just wanted to praise a set I never see talked about much.

Ninjago temple of the ultimate, ultimate weapon was a really fun build, parts of it reminded me of my all time favourite set - silver mine shootout.

It was on offer consistently in the UK over Christmas and well worth picking up if you spot at a good price

Stopped by my local Walmart and it was pretty well scrubbed clean of LEGO at this point. :(
Only thing they had on Small sale was Kyle Ren's Tie Fighter which I'm not interested enough in.

Wish I had heard about their clearance a little earlier. Not much I wanted, but if I could have gotten one or two more of the GOTG 2 sets for cheap I probably would have gotten them, and maybe that Batwing set.
