Just need 2 more photo items and 5 pieces of furniture :D

I've been pleasantly surprised how easily I've been getting that stuff, though it's mostly been because I've been playing so gradually over the past week that I've had lots of days to get tokens during.

Without any farming I'm already at >4000 tokens, and I should have all the treasure items with a few days to spare (particularly if I finish the story by this weekend). I was really worried about all that but it seems like it won't be a problem, thankfully.

So it turns out you could fly between districts in GR1. It has to be between adjacent districts, though. I tried flying from Pleajeune to Vendecentre and the game whisked me away around the halfway point. Approaching the pillar too closely is also a no-go, while it's fine in GR2.

I got to say, playing Remastered again makes me appreciate that 60 fps. So smooth. And Kat's shifting speed is much higher as well. Although the comparison isn't really fair because that's endgame Kat, while I still only completed 50% of GR2.

You shift faster in GR1. Gravity Rush 2 slows you down but also gives you Jupiter which has higher speeds. Might be just me but I find it more satisfying to fly around in GR2 despite missing the speed in the first game. Similarly, at max upgrade the slide speed in GR1 becomes a bit unwieldy for me. I think Gravity Rush 2 eliminated the speed upgrades but it feels about right once you get Jupiter option and maybe some energy talismans. Flying between islands without getting zipped away is great as well I hate that in games.

No one can fault GR2 for not having enough variety.

I agree about the everyday life of Kat, though there are a good amount that don't have that charm.

Just got Lunar style. This is fun as hell, especially the rocket jump.

Yea I like that they split the speed upgrades between Lunar, Jupiter, and Normal mode. Especially in regards to the Gravity Slide, since using it while in Lunar mode lets you go up walls without any fuss.

I agree the slice of life vibe of GR, outside of the main story, makes the franchise so wonderful. It doesn't always work well (Zoey...), but for the most part it does.

I say this because I was just thinking of the waitress side missions. In the first you have to hand out flyers ("using every means necessary") which basically comes down to racing through the city while searching for people to knock over on purpose with Gravity slide. In the second you have to catch people with stasis and literally throw them to the stand you're advertising for. In the end I had people running away in terror while Kat ran after them with stasis as the metaphorical butterfly net.

There were no extra objectives either. Just hand out 50 or so flyers and gather 40 people at the stand and you're done. It's short, audacious and a lot of fun.

Same goes for the newspaper mission, by the way, although with less screaming NPCs.

Kat kills millions of people, but she doesn't realize she kills them.

Just stay away from her and you're fine.

You know in the first one I always messed around with people and flung them of off the city but when it happens in 2 it bothers me.
I think it's because the civillians in 2 are a bit more relatable.

I know it's weird, but I always felt bad for flinging people off the islands so I would always jump off the sides whenever I wanted to shift in GR1. GR2 made it so much easier for me. I just switch to Lunar style, jump, then shift.

"Anjuju, they'll just respawn like me!"

Haha, that probably is exactly what Kat would think.

I was shook when I finally realized that it was Dusty that was teleporting me back, as opposed to some invisible force that teleports everyone back.

Got this as a gift for the holidays and just heard about the servers shutting down. Hopefully I can get everything before they do. I haven't played it since the first game came out on Vita and I forgot how much fun just moving around in the world is.

Damn, there's a lot of things to collect.
You can cheat by doing a certain chapter over again near the end of second half of the game
where you have to fight your shadow self in a mirror world
that lets you farm gems. The last trophy I needed for the Platinum was doing that because there are not enough gems in the game to do it without repeating some of the side stuff. I actually think you can't buy the last upgrade without repeating some stuff. No clue why they went in that direction at all.

Long and clunky as the epilogue might be, goddamn, it's making it so hard to say goodbye to this wonderful universe

Credits roll legit making me sad it's all over..

I still don't understand why the credits rolled after the second part when the game actually has a quarter of its story left.

I like to think that the first ending concludes the story of Gravity Rush while the second concludes the game and Kat's story.
I would probably spoiler the name there. It is a nice surprise for those who didn't realise.

I hate the train section from the movie side quest, in the first game wasn't there a way to slide on the rail without falling?

On chapter 2 now and got about 1000+ tokens so far.
I should probably play further to get more challenge opportunities.

I finally unlocked my last gesture, the hip attack. It causes civilians to run away in fear, unable to handle the Kat booty.

It was really interesting and I enjoyed it a lot for these reasons as well although I have read others simply right off the side quests and story as boring and messy.

Here is an interesting article.
Hitler, Trump, and the current .01% ruined nuanced storytelling.

Man the fastest way to farm gems sure is slow. I also wish the world wasn't so cheap with the gems. The majority are worth one gem. Come on.

I feel there were a lot more gems in Hekseville in GR1. You had the 'first batch', which you start the game with so to speak. And then after acquiring a certain skill a buttload of those big 50-point gems show up everywhere.

Maybe that's why they changed it. Nice to have all those gems, but there's no reason to collect them anymore as I already got the gold trophy for collecting 40.000 gems and upgraded all my abilities.
