Yeah, airpods are great. If I know I'll be hunkering down w/ some work I still use my custom JH-16 IEMs, but for light use and for conference calls these thing are wonderful.

I love mine.
My only complaint is there is no way to raise or lower volume. Even if double tap on left ear for vol down and double tap on right ear for vol up was a thing.

When i pause, i take one out of my ear, and i rarely skip tracks with them.

I'm going to be pretty upset when they add more gestures to version 2

First product where I feel the Apple slogan of "it just works" when it comes to wireless. Truly wireless, as seamless of a connection between multiple Apple devices as it gets, great battery life, good sound quality for what it is

Are you looking for a wireless pair that provides good sound or you sticking to wired?
I'm not in the market for new earbuds, but I'd probably be open to a new wireless pair with audio quality on-par with the $100 Sony, Sennheiser, etc. models. Sticking to wired for now. I'm hoping Apple drops better AirPods sometime soon.

Of course not. I just don't think they care that they don't.

I think they went for average...just like every headphone manufacturer ever. They all define average differently but no iems or earbuds I've ever had fit everyone. Some work for me and others don't. The Apple configuration does, but if it doesn't work for you it's not because they're poorly designed.

Bought some last week and I LOVE them... I workout a lot and only had one fall out while I was doing my ridiculous pull up routine. I really like them

Got mine a few weeks ago, love them. Huge quality of life improvement even if initially $160 to not have to deal with wires seems frivolous.

I still think they look kind of stupid but I see them so often in public now that it's pretty normal.

Another thing that I love is how well they work for making phone calls. Sound and voice is crystal clear and makes workday chat so much easier around the office.
Also, I honestly couldn't care less what people think of how they look when I'm wearing these - that's more of a "your problem" then a "my problem". I mean, the only visual difference between these and the traditional apple buds which are seen everywhere and part of modern culture is that there aren't wires attached to the end of the bands. I think it's just a matter of time before they are common place enough for people to quit thinking they're "douchy" - or whatever, which is ridiculous.

What's the battery life like on these? Can they last like 4 hours plus on one charge?

I had them for a week, but then returned them. The battery life was just so freaking bad. And I hated having to carry the little case around everywhere. Maybe in two years they'll be where they need to be as far as how long they last.

Instead, I picked up the Bose Soundsport headphones during Cyber Monday.
You want to carry them around individually? Are you insane?!

And I'm so in the club. I left them at a cottage by accident. Within an hour at home I had found a new pair on Kijiji.

Music/listening will get around 5 hours. Talk time is much less, about 90 min. I throw one in my ear to Skype with a friend while I game, and they run out of juice pretty quick. But in terms of just listening, they're quite good.

Yep, best tech purchase I made in the last 5 years I use them all the time.

Yes, and then they fully recharge in like 15 minutes in the case. You just need to charge the case like once a week.

They're convenient and seemless but in terms of audio quality they're pretty average. I'll use them with my iPhone but when I upgrade to the galaxy S9 I'll be using IE 80s and a decent portable amp/DAC.

It's also very cool how quickly they charge for effective use. When they are low pop in the case do something for about 10 minutes sometimes less and you are back in business. I love really do love them.

Meh. I'll stick with my Sony mw1.

Why would even mention this in this thread? This is like a terrible glimpse of an even darker timeline.

I've tried them at the Apple Store and love the case and seamless connectivity. But they just sound so awful after coming from the Bose Soundsports and now the BeatsX. Lovely as they are, I can't compromise on such bad sound.

Best product Apple have made in the past 5 years. Totally agree with people about them giving me a feeling about an Apple product that I haven't had since the original iPhone.

I've had them for around 12 months now and they're fantastic. It's perfect for me at the gym. I put them on before I leave the house (I don't need the case at the gym). When I get in the car and plug my phone into CarPlay, the audio switches over. When I get to the gym, double tap and it's on again in my ears. They've NEVER fallen out while on the treadmill. Left side pauses, right side skips track. Then it's the same again when I drive home.

AirPods on throughout the whole trip! My life is perfect now: iPhone X, AirPods and CarPlay. What more could you want?

[edit] Oh and my iPhone X also has an official iPhone X silicone case. On a scale of 9 to 10, how jealous are you?

I've been waiting for these things to be in normal stock, but never happened. So I finally just ordered some the other day. Takes about three weeks to arrive. Insane demand and lack of supply.

Wow, it's rare to see a product get such glowing impressions across the board!

How exactly do you have it Switch between multiple devices? Like, jumping between my mac, iPad and iPhone?

I saw a lot of them leading up to Christmas but now I see them literally everywhere all the time. Crazy how this product blew up. I think it's a combination of being priced right for a gift product, and being a "once you try it..." type of thing.

I'm waiting for the first real update or second. No rush to go wireless but when I do it's easy choices considering all the impressions the past year.

I've really enjoyed mine so far. It's weird that my left ear is shaped differently than my right... LOL. So, the right pod is secure while the left will fall out if I blink too hard.

Thankfully $10 gel inserts on Amazon help a bunch, especially during strenuous activity. Sure, I have to plan around using the inserts but it's a small issue.
