I have no idea which mission that's supposed to be, even though I just finished the game a couple of days ago. :P

We're too far gone, I am more than fine w/ the comic book stuff, that's clearly GR's thing.
I do like GR2 had more animated cutscenes. It's clear though that the comic panels, despite being there for technical reasons, is part of the games identity now.

Wait I'm dumb, I think it's the Scarab people one, not the police investigation side mission like I originally thought.

Yup

me walking trying to not get suspicious.

This took me a second before I remembered what this referred to. This and CHOE are both awesome.

Treasure hunts, photos rating and challenge missions where you send/receive a challenge and play against other player's ghosts. The latter is the only interesting one for me but there are many fans of treasure hunting in the thread.

Cool, I just got to the first city and the treasure hunts are the first thing I did, pretty cool. I did the first four it gave me from people, is there a way to get some more or are they randomly given out?

Also what's this photo rating business, is that random too? I came across a photo to rate down an ally when I wasn't expecting one, are they on the map at all or do you just run into them?

Cheers for the reply.

I have all the Dusty Token since February, but are some gestures, photo items and furniture that you get from treasure boxes lost forever when the servers will go down ?

Hey guys, I finally got round to starting this. I'd platinumed both the first on Vita and remaster but had forgotten they were turning online off soon otherwise would have gotten to it sooner.

So I've literally just started, besides making my way through the story what should I be concentrating on that won't be there when it goes offline?

I'm no expert in the matter, but if you pause, go to settings and click on statistics then scroll all the way down, you'll find a list of rewords for collecting Dusty tokens.

I've been playing for like an hour everyday since new year's and I've got like 4000 Dusty tokens. Though I've played the game for like 8 hours before I started all this Dusty tokens business.

I platinumed this game last week after returning to collect all Dusty Tokens. Now I'm playing Dragon's Dogma and all I want is to return to the Gravity Rush world, again. So I did and went on to finish up the rest of the challenges in Gravity Rush Remastered (which, coming back from GR2, felt much less polished gameplay-wise) and platinum it too, but I still want more. I did everything in both games though, so I don't know what to do... Even if Toyama's next project isn't Gravity Rush 3, I really hope it will have at least share the cozy vibe and also have a godly soundtrack by Kohei Tanaka.

Speaking of which, since the OP has screenshots and GIFs to show off the beauty of the game, I feel like it should also show just how amazing the music is:

Presumably not, since you can find treasures randomly sometimes, even without hints or sounds. It's very rare and hard to find though, and since there's a lot of stuff in these treasure boxes you're much better off trying to get it all before the servers go down. If you're on post-game you can do that fast and easy since there is no 4 treasures per day limit (at least there was none for me).

I really like some of the tracks. I sometimes wonder if some of the fights were made to drag out so we can appreciate the music and struggle more. Especially since I really feel that Kat was pushing her limits here while she was mostly still coming to terms with her powers in GR1 in 2 there certainly felt like times she was simply fighting uphill again and again.

That 4:20 mark in game was great!

The comic book style is great. I really liked it in both games though now that I've seen the Overture animations I wouldn't mind more of that either.

I feel like the animation and comic style shows more expressions of Kat than what we get from scenes in games. I'm guessing this is why after the missions we get the little monologue in the game to help push characterization further as well.

The Overture, while meh overall, was still a lot of fun.

I won't say no to anything that has Kat in it.

LOL!

I still haven't figured out if the mission was legitimately glitched for me - there was this one female middle-aged NPC who would come around the corner in one of the routes you could take, and she would make the square/arm point button disappear, and then she would catch me. I kept trying out of curiosity, and she got me every time - even when she was a long way away, the button would suddenly disappear, and even if I ran away, the button wouldn't come back. I ended up going another route to finish the mission.

Got the 60,000 gem trophy today by cleaning up some of the cities I hadn't really scrubbed yet. "Just" 24,000 to go to power Kat up completely, and then I'll finally have the Platinum... for the main game, anyway. Beginning to wonder if I'll ever make it; I'm not sure there's much more of the map to clean, and I abhor the idea of spending two hours solid doing that gem grinding trick.

Everytime i read statistics, I think you're telling people to go do statistics instead of what you're actually saying, which is to check statistics in the game. Regardless it makes me laugh everytime.

I'm too lazy to be more clear about it, so I just hope they understand. So far, so good lol

Just got to the singing part. That one trailer made it seem like a bigger deal lol. It just sorta happens randomly.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting the singing bit to be where it was, but it gave us red dress Kat, and Kat's beautiful voice, and that's all that matters.

My favourite part about the singing is when it props up again later with some of the girls after the Old Man side quest.
Kat sings in the dress
The song somehow became really popular in Jirga Para Lhao but no one knew who the singer was and it was never heard again

Later during a side quest Kat sings her song again at the little music party in the slums. Someone had recorded Kat and though they don't recognise her they now have the song and some bands reproduced it. Its popularity spreads throughout Heskeville.

Kat finds two girls singing her song and ask how they know it. When they tell her about the song and how it became popular Kat is really happy but then one of the girls says the lyrics are pretty easy and Kat's voice is pretty similar and encourages Kat to try singing. Kat panics and runs away leaving the girls wondering if Kat was the original singer.

Of course this was all setup for the finale and explains how everyone knows the song.

Forgot about that, that was really sad :(

I made it to the epilogue, or whatever this wonderfully overlong post-credits thing is.

I love how epic this game is!

Do you need to get to a certain point to start getting furniture or something? I've done a bunch of side quest and treasure hunts and I've only gotten gestures and photo items.

I think you're just unlucky. That said, I don't remember if sidequests give you furniture. I assume they do though.

I'm aware of that but which does what.

I dunno, you'd have to look it up what gives what, I just know that sidequests are capable of giving you any of the three.

Regarding Dusty Tokens, you can look up how many you have through Statistics, as soon as you have enough for a particular item, you automatically get it. And as I said, you get more through doing challenges and treasure hunts. That said, that stuff goes down later this month on the 18th.

Last night I just got to (Chapter 13 spoilers)
Hekseville, and I'm enjoying it a lot more already. I find this city better designed and more enjoyable to explore, with better music too.
I feel like the story needs to start wrapping up soon as it's still introducing questions when we even have lingering plot threads from GR1 that haven't been answered yet (like who is Kat? What are the Nevi? Who was Alias? And so on).

The nice thing with
Hekseville is they lock you out of doing side content a lot, which really helps with the pacing of the game, letting you just focus on the main missions. I believe once you get there, you do 3 or 4 chapters with no chance to do side missions. That's kind of a nice change of pace.

That last photo is great.

I love the camera, but I really wish it would automatically close after a few seconds of inactivity in tripod mode. You barely have time to position Kat.
Hmm I don't remember that happening however Tripod mode is more like Kat using Stasis mode, that is, it needs to stay within a certain distance otherwise it closes. If you are quick you might snap a shot before it shuts off but yeah. It is frustrating because there is no warning that you are getting close to the limit or anything like that.
