Just want to chime in that I usually don't watch a lot of streams (except for the groupstream one), but I have watched quite a lot of Persona 5 on Easy Allies Plays (15 hours or something, I know he played a lot more) and I really enjoy watching/listening to it. I think Damiani is a great streamer. To be honest, I enjoyed watching/listening to all of the allies I have seen streaming (and although I usually don't watch a lot of streams, I think I have seen most of them stream).

I would watch them a lot more if I had more time/there was unlimited time as I usually enjoy it a lot. It always feels cozy.

i dunno about effort. i watched a bit of a stream and he didn't talk for the entire 45 minutes i was watching.
that's not really entertaining.

two game sleuth episodes are in the top 10 of most watched EZA episodes. i think his time would be better spent elsewhere and even if it's really just him streaming in his free time on holidays i don't think you should spam the channel with the videos. they get very few views.

that's ultimately their choice though, i'm just sharing my opinion as a paying customer that want to see them grow.
Nah. Being a paying customer doesn't entitle you to complain about how the Allies spend their personal time, whether he's on holiday or not (he is but that's not the point).

Pretty sure the idea is that Damiani is going to play Persona anyway for GOTY consideration, if nobody else is streaming at the time there's no harm in streaming it.

Just finished watching, great show as always.

Special shout out to the end where they discussed the new betting rules.
Brad not only winning the new team name but also getting to do his podcast goal (that tied in together) was hilarious and amazing :D

hmm anybody knows if the allies are doing only "GOTY" or other categories such as best ost, best characters...

I think they're doing other categories, but not all of them will be deadly serious like last years. Which is a good thing to me.

Not to speak for Blood, but I assume best soundtrack will be done off camera. I know Blood does some hard research for that category.

The dude said it in direct reference to the EZA work that he'd rather have Damiani working on.

You don't have to agree, but maybe don't be disingenuous.
I'm not being disingenuous. The idea Damiani is streaming Persona 5 instead of working (whether that's on Game Sleuth, Friend Code, reviews or whatever) is ridiculous. Even if he wasn't on holiday, you would still assume he was streaming it in his free time.

Someone remind me why are toaster strudels inferior to pop tarts.

Monster Hunter Weekly Hunts is still happening right?

I can see Ben on the Greatsword, Ian with the Dual Blades, Jones has the bow, and Huber I'm almost certain would be a Switch-Axe guy... Either that or the Gunlance.

Did Huber try out the betas? I don't think I've heard him talk about it yet.

I skipped directly to the betting portion of the podcast, and Akatsuki, lmao. Huber is the best.

I loved what the team names ended up being, though I'm not sure there's gonna be a beanie baby out there to represent Jones' pick.

the whole toaster strudel - pop tart thing is so bizarre to understand from outside the US... I had to google them to at least see how they are supposed to be lol.

I want to try them someday.

Pop-Tarts are super versatile because you can either eat them as cold, crusty hunks of bad-tasting frosting or as warm, crusty hunks of bad-tasting frosting.

Akatsuki should've been the team name. I laughed so hard when Kyle said that name, especially due to how sudden it was.

I got a bit confused by the rules if Brandon and Kyle fall 10 points behind. If that happens do they combine back into one team?

Pop tarts are solid. They taste good cold and even better warm. They have a wide variety of flavors.

Toster strudels try to hard. They have to be eaten warm and you have to apply the frosting yourself as well. The filling is gross.

Pop tarts are a million times better than toster strudels.

I had to look up Toaster Strudels as well. I did know how a pop tart looks like from people seeing people trying weird flavours on youtube (and most of them seemed to hate them as well).
I remember looking up Toaster Strudels before, but I forgot what it was exactly. From my non-existing knowledge and just looking at both products, they seem more or less the same crap to me, but I obviously can't give a good opinion having seen none of the 2 in real life.

It looks to me like some cardboard with some fake tasting crap ontop/inside of it (disclaimer, I usually don't like any conveniencestore bought cake or snack with some fake jelly or something similar in or on it, so I am biased).

I had a good friend once who was pretty obsessed with pop tarts, so I've just sort of assumed their superiority is a common opinion. Still don't know what either of them actually are though lol.

i wonder what percentage of eza fans are from outside of the america. sometimes it certainly feels like the allies just assume everyone is living in LA.

They do, but that's not necesarly a bad thing, they can't think to be in other places, but I really think they have a big audience outside the US since they receive gift from a lot of places.

To me it's completely fine they use their local references, i can look them up or ask other allies when I don't get something

Hah, I do wonder what sounds the panel would make each week if they had to make Akatsuki noises.

Kyle was talking about Don by Law, which stated that if a team fell behind by 10 points, Don would make an extra bet for that team in order to help them catch up. Then he'd stop if they started getting close (I think if they got within 2 points?). I actually think they should actually implement Don by Law when the difference is something like 5, just to keep things close throughout the year.

The pop tart vs toaster strudel conversation is weird because I think they're both gross lol.

Also made me laugh that Jones and Kyle had to make it clear that Jones saying they hated each other was a bit.

After the easy update episode I sadly think it's a necessity considering some of the reactions we saw.

What Ian did was pretty douchey but what can you expect from a guy divorced 5 times

Btw that was a bit :)

"beat" Mario Odyssey today (saw the credits), what a delightful game from beginning to end. Looking forward to playing more. Maybe my third favourite this year after Zelda and Persona

Neither of them are amazing. Pop Tarts probably win out of convenience. They're a simple go-to thing whether you heat them or not. Toaster Strudels can be better, but you have to nail the preparation. Since they're stored frozen, you can end up having cold spots, they can wind up soggy, or get easily burnt.

but in the context of the segment, which one is good and which one is bad?
Kyle decided that Pop Tarts are good and Toaster Strudels are bad (at least for the segment, not sure if it's a troll or not, you never know with Kyle). So if they say something is their Pop Tart, it is the good thing and Toaster Strudel the bad thing.

The Toaster Strudel isn't necessarily something bad in the segment though right? I think it's just something that they think people shouldn't be too excited for. But yes, Kyle apparently considers Pop Tarts to be good and Toaster Strudels to be bad haha.

In the beginning they more easily forgot to think about their non-US audience (which is normal imo), but nowadays I do feel like they think about the time differences, there just isn't a lot you can do about that. It also never bothered me at all. Sure, it makes me not being able to see most of their group streams live, but that's not their fault.
Also, I like seeing subtle differences in culture. It makes me learn new things.

Beat RE7. Loved it. Now I can finally listen to that Frame Trap from a year ago and watch Huber's playthrough! x)

I am not from America but when I went there a few years ago I tried pop tarts, I found them terrible, so I always assumed toaster strudles must be like vegimite if they are worse than pop tarts.

Right, I think Pop Tarts are for the surefire "This WILL be good!" picks and Toaster Strudel is more "pump the breaks, this could be disappointing." Not necessarily good or bad.
