You know, even when I played the game and beat it at launch there still didn't seem like that many opportunities to review other peoples pics. Went surfing around the towns in search of blue people but only ended up finishing one. Been sticking to treasure hunting. Picked up a few pieces of neat furniture.

I didn't :(. That mission reminded me of how awful I am at Lunar mode.
I probably wouldn't have gotten far in it myself if not for repeating that first Lunar race challenge until I got the gold and a time under a minute.
That's one of the better side missions. Another one I really liked was "Choe! Choe! Choe!" Kat is so gullible.
Was that the
Scarab Girl one?
That one was pretty fun, and gave an Invasion of the Body Snatchers vibe.

I'm still salty as fuck I didn't get the outfits from the Remastered data. I had the first game for the PS4, but I had traded it in, and on top of that, I deleted the save data because I didn't know GR2 would reward you for having it.

Holy shit, the US version? Do you know how much that's worth now?

I just found my 4th and 5th random apples shortly after each other. First one at the harbor and I spotted the second one after doing the newspaper challenge in the business area (the one with all the towers).

These also yield gestures and the like (the 4th one gave me the "you there" "wink"gesture), so I wonder if they'll appear more often after the servers go down so you can still collect gestures and furniture.

In terms of Dusty tokens, I just crossed the 4000 mark. I began the day with 3000 tokens, so if I keep this pace I'll be done in two days.

Edit: scratch that, 4200 tokens now. Just won the challenge I issued ten minutes ago.

Yesterday I played the game for a few hours over the course of the entire day and I didn't receive more than the four treasure hunts I got at the start of the day. I can certainly see it as a post-game feature, since at that point you won't have the story missions (and possibly the side missions) to do anymore.

You get 4 treasure hunt hints every 12 hours until you clear episode 20, then you get 8 every 12 hours.

After I digest the game and eventually play the dlc, maybe I'll try to finish up the side quests and challenges. Just for the game's personality and Kat's posterity in remembrance. Not the dusty tokens, fuck that. But, can you tell me what side quests are the best in terms of character and less frustrating gameplay?

I've done the dog one already (it was cute but frustrating/boring) and the weird people with arms up. What's that Choe thing mission called?

What are the available types of challenges besides paper delivery and races? I want to avoid anything stealth.

I've been trying to collect Gravity Rush gifs and pics I can use as reaction so the game can live on forever and Sony makes the next game.

The Choe! quest is called Forbidden Games.
My favourite quests are the acting, pamphlet delivery or fan luring quests as they are the most different. The put furniture onto my truck quest is kind of neat too.
Challenges based off of those quests are also enjoyable to me but I also really enjoy the flying time trials.

Gravity Rush 2 may indeed be the last... :(

I'm just appreciative of the fact that it exists at all as a full fledged home console release, the scope of the game was an extremely pleasant surprise for me and if it is indeed the last of the series, at least they went out on a high note.

The Battle Nurse ones are great. A Game of Gravity is another. Honestly there's a bunch of dope ones, I just don't remember the names for them all lol

I didn't care for that one, namely because that was the very last sidequest I did, so for it end on that note was pretty lame.

Yea I remember playing the first game thinking that I'd love for a much longer sequel. Didn't expect GR2 to be that long though lmao

I'm sorry if this has already been asked a thousand times but I'm trying to avoid spoilers...

So I just got to the second area in the game (somehow I didn't get it spoiled that the entire area from the first game is playable!) and I unlocked Kat's house. I already got 6000 dusty tokens but now I'm wondering what I need to worry about in regards to the treasure hunts before the servers shut down. Can I stay where I'm at and keep completing treasure hunts every day to unlock all of the furniture, gestures, etc. that come from treasure chests or do I need to progress further into the story to get back to the first map? Like, are the treasure chests random or are they specifically placed throughout both cities?

you can stay where you are. As far as I know the treasure hunt locations are random, but they'll only appear in the area where you are. You can return to Jirga Para Lhao later on in the game

I haven't been doing very many side quests at the moment. I kind of feel like doing them later after I beat the game. Am I missing out on a lot by doing it this way?

I feel that having Kat stick around for the people, helping them with trivial stuff and just being around really grounded her into the universe which made end game feel even better. Other than that you're not missing anything as far as I remember.

Just arrived at Jarga Para Lhao and got the camera, did the 4 treasure hunts and the challenge that existed.

Are we talking about the same Battle Nurse missions that required precision platforming? Those were some of the hardest, most frustrating sidequests in the game for me!

I'll try to do a bit more then. I just wanted to finish the main game so I could fit one more big game and a couple of smaller ones in before GOTY season ends.

Finally started this game after putting it off for a while.

Gotta say, I've only gotten to chapter 2 but it already feels SOOO MUCH better than Gravity Rush: Remastered ever did. Probably just the vita roots for that game but this game's world just feels like it actually takes advantage of a protagonist who can bend gravity by giving you a much wider space to manuever in.

Still at chapter 8 so I haven't even unlocked the other styles/forms/whatever yet, but the biggest improvement over Remastered is the city and its people. There won't be much of a difference if you just shift from mission marker to mission marker. But if you try to interact with people, you'll notice how many possibilities there are. Nothing fancy like open-world RPGs with unique NPCs and stuff. But just by using gestures, your camera and a little imagination, Kat feels so much more part of the world than she did in Remastered. In that game she felt like a spectator, in this game she's part of a bigger world.

Yeah I definitely feel that. The way Kat becomes a part of the world is what makes the game special to me. The way she interacts only adds to it more and more. There is also some surprises later that fits right in with the world building and placing Kat in the world but say no more and let you find it yourself!

The rolling one took me a while to work out the timing but otherwise I thought they were mostly too easy but still a lot of fun. Actually I remember leaving the rolling one and going back later and getting it done in one go so I suspect I was impatient and tired when I tried. I think patience helps with quite a lot of the quests.

Yeah, maybe it's just because I'm not very good at platforming (and I also kind of don't feel like the game supports platforming without your powers) but I felt the complete opposite about these. The one where you have to jump from blimp to blimp or the rooftop one were absolutely awful for me and I never want to play them again.

Hahaha that blimp one was my favourite, I was disappointed there aren't more of those. I was hoping for faster ones and more traffic/free form ones but that never happened.
I know what you mean though, it isn't for everyone and the zero power platforming could use some work particularly because Kat seems to struggle a bit with smaller movements.

Some people can make her move around and look pretty good doing it.

I need to pop this in and fly and around again. Platinum'd it when it came out, and have been meaning to visit the marketplace and soar for a bit.

I've been playing since Christmas day when I got it, and today I finished the story. Hopefully over the next few days I can easily get the last 800 or so Dusty tokens needed to reach 6000, and finish up the last few medal challenges and collectables. Though I can't say I'm looking forward to grinding out the gems required to max Kat's powers. There's still the dlc to whizz through too.

Even though I have very strong complaints about some aspects of mission design and combat, Gravity Rush as a whole is so damn charming it's impossible to stay mad at the game for any length of time. Hekseville remains one of my favourite locations from a game ever.

Man, I've played a lot recently. It's like coming home from a long trip, still such a fun game. The traversal and setting are just delightful.
