I've learned that the best way to keep your screen pristine is to never use it.

But seriously, I think that most screens nowadays are pretty good, so I've stopped using screen protectors. A few scratches here and there are inevitable, and unsightly bubbles bother me more than the scratches do.

I am for debate being off screen. I would hate for all of their arguments to be under scrutiny by over-zealous fans, best to just see the final product of their work.

I just bought a screenprotector for the 2DS XL I bought a few weeks ago, but didn't dare putting it on yet. I suck at applying them as well. I have botched it on 2 of my phones a few times and the one that's on there now is crooked. I also botched it on my sisters phone with a glass screenprotector after she botched it with an other glass screen protector (which she broke). The current one (which I applied) is crooked as well.

I will bite the bullet somewhere in the comming weeks, but you are certainly not alone in being terrible at applying screenprotectors.

I used the amFilm tempered glass one. Was pretty easy to apply I thought. Which was your brand?

I fucked both of mine too even doing the steamy bathroom trick both ended up with a bunch of dust particles somehow.

Does it matter if they have a draconian streaming policy if they've never actually implemented it? I mean, if you check on YT there's plenty of full P5 playthroughs and I don't think anyone's actually gotten into any trouble for uploading/streaming the game

Don't really wanna hammer on here but I hope the next retro isn't going to release until all the editing was done so a weekly or biweekly release schedule is ensured. Releasing it like this without consistency feels kinda bad to me(cause the momentum kinda just loses itself). That said 3 episode in I still don't feel like any episode absolutely needed the context of the others. Which makes me think it might be better to try to release these every few months(basically after finishing prep for 1 entry make it right after) somewhat consistently instead of waiting for all the prep work for the whole franchise to be done.

Not only does it feel bad but it looks bad as well. It shows there lack of a proper production cycle and it hurts the momentum of the series overall. At this point Jones should not be editing anything but the dark souls retro, just get it done already.

The group stream made me wanna go back to Mario Maker, I really need it on Switch.

One moment soured the whole thing for me

the first team's game changer was just bad. You know how you spent half the time designing the level? Oops it's all for naught now. The other team didn't even have to make sure the boss was beaten (even though it's super easy to do now).

I also dislike that they never bother to explain the controls. Everytime they make a mistake I wanna shout about the undo button!

Has EZA ever talked about building a studio without the 50k goal being met? I'm wondering with Twitch subs if that could split the difference.

the studio being tied to a stretch goal seems like a bunch of phooey. if they were sitting at 49k month, you think they'd still say "no we can't do it." or if they went over 50k for a month or two and then dropped back down to 45k or something they'd break their lease?
it just doesn't make sense

eh? It's a monthly goal and a monthly expense. Sure it's set high enough that if we dip for a little bit, it's not going to be cause for panic, but that's not an investment we should make until we're consistently in that range.

You can see white stuff on the edges but it looks fine to me.

Uh, yes? The threat alone was enough to dissuade a lot of people. Not to mention blocking Share menu video clips and even screenshots was total bullshit.

The thing is, they were sitting at around $45,000 just a little while ago. I think they will probably get back up to that number in the near future (there is always a drop off at the beginning of the month). I think they can totally get to the point where they are averaging $50,000 a month, but it is only going to come after they grow their youtube channel a little more. That is going to take time.

A really good podcast to kick off the new year. I think my favorite part is, by far, when they play viewer/listener submitted games. Just feels so nostalgic and fun and I don't know of any other casts that really do that.

I think it will happen... eventually. Hopefully durring the big meeting they look at how to improve there production schedule as well as shake up the patreon reward tiers and more importantly imo, goals. It seems weird to have game sleuths and retrospectives listed as monthly goals when they don't deliver them monthly. They should atleast have set times like one game sleuth every three months, one retro series every six months, just throwing out numbers here. I would also like to see them come up with a different 45k goal, trailer Jones seemed to do very little to increase there exposure and I didn't see much enthusiasm for them within the community.

It's worth remembering that kinda funny had a $50k studio goal as well and they managed to hit it eventually too. KF have two different patreon s though, which probably helps.
