As long as Ben brings up NieR Automata for the umpteenth time at some point to audible groans from the rest of the allies I'm all good.
I don't know if I should interpret that post as longer than 2 hours or shorter. If it's longer then I'll definitely have to catch it later.
They always bring up the Vivi doll but like, what kind of "Vivi" was it?

Hah, I'm pretty sure it was FF9 Vivi. I don't think many (any?) of the Allies are into One Piece (which I started reading recently against my better judgment).
I really want Kyle to throw out P5 being a bad game (per the latest Easy Update) just to see Ben and Huber get mad xp.
Lol yeah I realized it was a dumb question right after posting. Though Ben and Brad are One Piece fans. (Well, if I understand correctly, Brad has stopped watching/reading it. Don't know where Ben's at)

While compiling the info for the description (writing down which video each clip is from) just realized that one of the ones I wanted in the video didn't make it in because it was coupled with another clip and got overlooked when editing. Sigh... oh well.
Ah a classic. It was fun to revisit those moments once again. So many times I would go "Oh that was In 2017? I thought it was in 2016"
I'll likely make an exception and make sure include it in the Best of 2nd half 2017 video (whenever that happens).
Firstly: great work.
Secondly: in regards to the unintentional mcdangl omission, maybe a "previously on..." cut/flashback to the original moment would be appropriate in the pt2 video...

I agree with the Mario is Mario sentiment, it's amazing and the pinnacle of platforming just like it's been for the past 15 years. Can't compete with something as new and surprising as Zelda.
Since I just posted it in the other thread here are my top 10 of 2017, the one year I kept up with the zeitgeist:
1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - A world that is alive, fully traversable, and with things to find in every corner. A redemption for the open world genre
2. Cuphead - The style. The look. The music. It has it all. Never thought I'd ever play a difficult boss rush game, let alone love it
3. Yakuza 0 - A masterful mashup of cinematic crime drama and unfailable wacky side stories, with tons of engaging side activities
3. Super Mario Odyssey - A Mario game that takes traversal freedom to new levels, and is not afraid to surprise you and try new things
5. Pyre - Fantasy coated sports game that focuses on individual players strengths and story arcs, with bigger decisions messing with both of those and adapting with failure
6. Tekken 7 - After a decade of neglect all it took was a couple new cool fighting styles for me to get back into Tekken as if I never left, and having customizations doesn't hurt
7. Opus Magnum - Programming puzzles that can be solved in minutes and optimized in hours, with mesmerizing GIF solutions
8. Night In The Woods - A very relatable mood piece about a depressed and angsty cat in her early 20s with her friends back in her small town
9. What Remains of Edith Finch - Toys with what can be done with interactive fiction in terms of controls and framing, and knows not to overstay its welcome.
10. Splatoon 2 - More and better Splatoon! Rad horde mode and new weapons. (I barely played it though ><")
I think my top 5 is:

4. Xenoblade 2 (I'm in the final chapter!)
5. Nier: Automata
I have not played Persona 5 yet, on the basis of Fuck Atlus, though I will try to get to it sometime this year since people are so high on it. I've comfortable with Xenoblade 2 being where it is, too many avoidable flaws that hold back the game from the heights its world and music want to achieve... but I'd still give it a 9/10.

Great job on the video FarisR . I was surprised that some of the earlier clips happened last year. It felt like so long ago.

I kid but it really was my second favourite game of the year.
If you want to get technical, I guess it wouldn't count. But it is a console exclusive, just like Street Fighter V and other games.
It drops at the start of the month and goes up again, it's normal.

Yup. And I bet January 1st is the worst drop for Patreon all round with people over-spending during the holidays.
EDIT: Outside of Patron numbers, 5 sponsors of Frame Trap have dropped out this month for the $ amount to take a hit too.

Think I'm finally getting the hang of combat in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Pretty satisfying to get a couple of those elemental combos going.
Maybe your favorite platform holders should make better games?
Today I learned I'm terrible at applying screen protectors. Tried putting one on my Switch, the one I ordered came with 2 and I fucked them both up. Do any Allies have screen protectors on their Switch? If so which one is the best and do you have any tips for an idiot like me to actually put it on right?
I bought the orzly one. They come with instructions which I followed closely, but I have also heard that it's easier to apply screen protectors in a humid room, like a bathroom after you've had a shower. I had good luck with mine so this wasn't necessary, but that seems to work for a lot of people.
Haha I decided I'm terrible at it even before I tried and had my friend do it. Too bad he fucked it up too. So I still won't have any screen protectors attached.
