Very grateful for the wishes and kind words. Slept a lot these last two days and started to enjoy life a little more despite the cancer effects and deadline.
I was surprised just how much fun I had going to a café with my father this morning, soaked in a lot of sun rays and didn't bring up the illness once.
Still wondering which is the best way for money transfer. Never used bank deposit before and I'm not familiar with the limits nor the time it takes. Money transfer services are instant but take more fees and are limited to 5000$/day if I'm not mistaken. Will do some more research tomorrow !

Some of us were burned from previous donation threads from the other site.
That's too bad. I wish something that happened at the other place wouldn't color your judgement here, the situations are nothing alike. I have complete faith in the OP and administration here.

I think that talal having problems accessing the money slowed things down a lot. People want to help, but they don't want their money going into a black hole.
Now that it is cleared up and he can get the money again, we should do everything possible to make it pick up again! Glad Talal has been completely transparent with everything. His campaign shouldn't be punished for that.
As an admin, are you able to comment on doing a sticky for this thread?
For the first transfer to start do whatever's fastest.
Worry about efficiency after the ball is rolling.

I'm discussing with someone who could help and will go for the fastest method. Week end and holiday kinda dragged things out but tomorrow I'll do everything to retrieve the funds and start this week hopefully.
That's how I've been having it glitch. Not logging in, only using debit card: no payment goes through.
I don't have a credit card so I might be stuck.

Discussions with the person who was gonna help me get the money from Paypal kinda fell through.
I will go on with the plan to link Paypal to my local bank account which will take some time while also spreading the word to friends and family who might know someone in the US who can send me the money the same day via WU or Moneygram.

Let us know how long the bank says it'll take. If they're talking weeks and you can't find anyone else to help, then I'd be willing to WU it from the US. I'd just need to read all of the fine print on fees and stuff with WU to make sure that there won't be any issues. I haven't used them in forever.

Thank you so much for the offer. I'll go ask the bank for good in 2hours. Actually western union only allows 5000$/3 days and moneygram 6000$/month. So I will need a couple people living in the US who have a paypal account linked (only place where you can transfer from paypal to bank account instantly).
If someone can ask around for the fees, that would be a great help.

Start the linking process already! You don't lose anything by linking and the sooner you do it the sooner it becomes effective. Just do it. If you find a faster solution before the process is complete, that's welcome, but you don't lose anything by starting it as soon as possible!

I'm going to keep being the marketer here and bugging you to post more text-updates/pictures/videos/anything on the actual funding page. Especially any pictures (old or new). "This is me getting on the bus to go the bank to try and sort this out." "This is an old family photo." "This is breakfast." Whatever. Donations come to active pages when people see their money having an impact.

Hey Talal have you checked out other sources of support? My wife works at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and they have a great number of sources for support, monetary and otherwise. Will check it out, thank you. Not sure if they offer international support, but I will contact them anyway.
For other sources, I contacted local associations foreign oncology departments (chance of them wanting to do research on some new treatments) and joined a couple of forums where I just talk about the illness with other people who went through the same thing.
I also realise how basic my english really is. Will post more and try to write more eloquently when I (hopefully) beat this thing.
