Got to 2nd last night. Was in a tiny circle and i couldnt find the other guy. There was half a building in the circle aswell. The only place i could think of that i couldnt look is on the roof.
The circle ate me at the end. I would have loved to know where he/she was.

I don't remember seeing rain for a long time, even in the PC build....but I've probably just missed it in streams.
I got a 2nd last night too, was unlucky with circles but lucky in not getting spotted. Very small final circle but "my" half was cornfield and the other was bushes and trees. Looking back, I threw some smoke grenades to make a distraction and get into the final circle, but I should have pushed further to get in to cover, and the better half of the circle.
It was quite a long final showdown. I got nearly killed and assumed I was dead but I blind fired back and the shooting stopped. I had enough time to deploy a full med kit, but still couldn't see the other person. They must have been moving as firing started again and I got wiped out this time (albeit still quite slowly and I had time to search for muzzle flashes but couldn't see anything).
The other person had taken out a couple of cars and other people so they probably deserved the win more than me anyway.

Yeah, we usually don't bother unless it drops pretty close to us. In this case, it was pretty near to where we had dropped at the start of the match and there hadn't been very many people who landed near us.
Just had the worse game for loot i think ive ever had, and i still made it to top 10.
Must have gone through 20+ houses and found no guns apart from pistols a double barrel shot gun and a mini 14....with no ammo. I had a whole town mostly to myself as I got lucky and landed on a vehicle.
The loot clusters in this game really are terrible. I found 3 level 3 helmets in one house and 5 back packs in another.

Rain, to hear opponents worse and fog to see less, changes the game completely and you have to change strategy, these were so cool additions. I f'n hope they add this back, what a dumb decision.
Seriously? Was it the community at large, or just a few popular streamers that railed against it? I know Shroud, Dr. DisRespect, and a few others always complained when they popped up in the rotation. I loved the change of strategy for those two environmental changes.
Ugh I had the same thing happen to me, except literally nowhere to hide. I made a four minute clip and I can't find him. I thought I saw a guy with a DP-28 for one blurry frame of the recording but it was a pile of rocks on further review. Neither me nor my teammate saw anyone on the live full 1080p in-game viewing... For that matter I'm currently on a 60 inch screen at a distance of about 4 feet. I think it's an exploit or a glitch.

Keep in mind there was a solid 2 minutes AT LEAST where I was doing nothing but running around and clearing that second to last circle including nade spamming the whole area before that max length clip even starts. And BEFORE that, it was the area I was fighting from, shooting down at the road and the hill across it to the west. The final circles came to me. I was watching all angles like a mad man, and there were no footstep sounds moving into the area after my last kill which puts the whole ordeal at up to 8 minutes by my estimate (granted for the early part I was just peaking from the northeast side over the hill and seeing if I could third-person glance anything, but that extra 2 minutes I mentioned were 100% running around the whole circle trying to look everywhere.
The only thing about my clip that I could say is that I kind of wish I focused a little more on the west central part of the final circle. I mean it is a bald hill and I did run through it a lot anyway but that was probably the lightest coverage of my search.
I don't know what would hurt more, having a glitch rob me, having someone exploiting a glitch intentionally to rob me, or me just having missed him in the grass somewhere somehow and losing the game legit. I killed 8 or so of the last 12 players I think after my teammate got hit by a car. I went completely ham and then... that wet fart of an ending. I wanted to get the 1v1 in ASAP, win or lose, and then get the crazy 5 minute clip regardless but whatever happened robbed me of even that!
Kind of reminds me of how R6 Siege removed a bunch of maps from ranked mode and a couple of maps altogether to pander completely to ESL wannabes. Less variety to pander to certain players. I hate it even though I didn't particularly love rain mode. I was cool with fog. It was my first (cowardly 3 kill) chicken dinner.
I imagine it's one of those features that sounds cool in theory but in practice is actually annoying. Most people will have the most fun in the clear day setting. The best comparison I can think of is Battlefield 1. That game has weather, but any time fog comes in (or anything that isn't just the clear weather) the game gets significantly worse. It's just kind of annoying.
But PUBG is a very different game than BF1 so maybe it would be better. But considering that the community complained I'm going to guess that the game is best played with clear weather.
Yep. This is very similar to what I experienced, I was the only guy in the circle when it shrank to nothing. I wonder if there is an exploit that prevents circle damage?
It would be handy if it spectated the last guy when you lost in this way. It's bullshit.
It's not an issue on PC with the replays. I don't know if that feature is slated to come over to Xbox but it is pretty awesome. I won a chicken dinner on the final circle with the other player not getting into the zone. It didn't make a whole lot of sense. I saw him earlier and then he just refused to come into the wide open circle to challenge me. I was out in the open, dancing, shitting my pants. And then BOOM. Chicken dinner. Turns out he ran into a building while the zone was shrinking, didn't find a door where he hoped one would be... then he hesitated before using a heal and died. It was pretty awful play and honestly I would be a bit annoyed if I didn't get to figure out what happened.
Like with that shit tonight. I'm literally losing sleep over it. Fuck!
They need to get rid of vehicles all together. The last 15 people is basically just twisted metal, it's stupid as fuck
Agreed about the vehicles, something has to be done, it ruins the endgame. I thought the complaints were exaggerated at first until I reached top 10 and we were just driving around in circles.

No, vehicle kills are still legit. They could either reduce how much damage a vehicle can tank, or reduce how much gas a car spawns with. Or maybe both.
Is the vehicle thing an issue on pc? It's been out for a year so I'd imagine there were complaints if so.
Calm down.
Time will fix this, no reason to demand changes via patch or get crazy about it now. New people are learning the game and try to exploit/use cheap tactics that spreads around the internet, it's normal, it will balance itself over time.
Two things. People have complained about it since release, so I'm not sure it's because people have gotten to know the game better. Also I think the "all 10 are in vehicles" is exaggerated. I've been top 10 a bunch and top 2 twice yesterday and there were 2 vehicles max.
It's partly because people on consoles have a harder time consistently aiming at vehicles to take them out, and/or some players find it easier just driving around because they can get a few cheeky roadkills instead of lying in the grass somewhere and snaking it.
Or, sometimes it's just fun going Mad Max in a buggy with less than 15 people left, especially when you're the last alive in your squad haha. One man, with nothing to lose...
I've used the tactic a few times just to get people to expose themselves and have other teams kill each other while I'm zipping about.
Got a drop crate for the first time and found a sniper rifle! Actually got to use it as well! Poor guy didn't know what to do...
Aim for the tires to slow them down, and blow their shit up, I love when people use vehicles. Easy kills every time.
Well, the last "server patch" 3 days? ago (almost 100%) eliminated the input lag, aiming feels like a completely different game now. So smooth and good. My whole squad noticed it that evening.
Yes or let them crash against a tree, enter the car and punch him to death from the inside. So many possibilities.
I don't know about that. Feels very similar to me. Haven't crashed yet though :)

Disagree. Been top 10 3 times today and out of the ten there were 7 vehicles. Yes I counted. The only thing that saved me was standing near a tree
Crashing today has been unbearable. Either me or my duo partner has crashed every game for the past two hours.
Got a top ten before game crashed me out. Later game was in last 3 and then I got greedy and got out of jeep to try to finish dude off but he was better.
I really enjoy how this game amplifies your normal personality. If you're impatient in real life, chances are you're impatient in game and will get caught slipping. Or if your greedy in real life, it translates as spending too much time looting houses.
Since I made it a priority to find a vehicle in the first 6 or 7 minutes, I've been in the top 50% almost every time. I get the complaints about too many vehicles, but it's surprisingly easy to kill the driver. Three good shots will kill them while they're driving.

I spray someone with an ump, I'm killed by a Shotgun.
Just now, with a vest, vector and akm, my shots did nothing and I'm dead swiss cheese. Bogus.
Just got second after being in a 1v1. The ring closed in, I used a vector on them and I died. Almost tasted.
