Glide. It's very easy. And the answer to a lot of things. How can I reach that maze on the top right part of the map in the ocean?

Is there a trick to the Lost Woods? It seems every direction I go takes me back to the entrance. Is it just luck, is there an item I need or is there a path I can find if I'm observant enough?
How do you know when it's about to rain? Is there a tell? It always seems to sneak up on me.It's fairly straightforward from what I remember. I got to a high point and paraglided there. You might need to use stamina buffs if you haven't upgraded your stamina a lot. Avoid going there when it's raining or about to rain.
Thanks! Gonna try it now.Follow the direction of the wind/floating particles in the air.

Thanks! Gonna try it now.But is there anything in there aside from the Master Sword? Because I'm far from powerful enough so I won't even bother yet if it's a waste of time.
Oh I could never figure out what the weather icons meant. Never put much thought into it. I'm totally gonna be watching that now.If you have the normal HUD, you can see a weather wheel in the bottom right of the screen. It shows you what the current weather is, as well as the next two weather cycles. It doesn't show up if you have the Pro HUD.
Seems I need 1 extra chunk of Stamina to reach it from the lab XDIt's fairly straightforward from what I remember. I got to a high point and paraglided there. You might need to use stamina buffs if you haven't upgraded your stamina a lot. Avoid going there when it's raining or about to rain.

Grrr why is the Blade Saw a giant sword? I hate big weapons in this game >=/
Anyways where can I find ancient cores? I need some for these weapons.
I've tried using the Pro but it's too limited for me. I like having that information there.I used the Pro HUD for my playthrough so I didn't even know that was a thing until I finished the game.

Question: The rocks with minerals in them come back right? It seems to be random what's in them too. I broke one near the tower by the military training range and got diamonds and sapphires. Then I died and when I broke it again they were amber instead. I was so bummed. They're renewable right? It keeps coming back?
Alright, thanks!Exploration. If you study your map closely, you'll probably figure out where to find it.
Ooof this'll be a bit of a long grind if not wait til I can save up for that super sword and bow :PI used the Pro HUD for my playthrough so I didn't even know that was a thing until I finished the game. :P
Stamina buffs helped me out a lot at the beginning. You can probably still get there if you cook up some meals.
I got the giant ancient cores from some shrine treasure chests. I think I got the regular ancient cores from defeating Guardians. Giant ancient cores might be a rare Guardian drop, too, I think.
I think the weather system is pretty straight forward long as you look at the bottom left.
Thing is it can be a nucence at times: I was already at the fire I needed to light up the 2nd Lab but then it rained....and rained....and rained
I think I had to wait 5-10 minutes til the damn thing subsided before I started my return to the lab.
Does the Guardian next to the lab keep respawning or something?

Eh I dislike how big the world is. If I end up with enough to get them, coolios. Otherwise, wherever I'm going next better give me a sword that's stronger than 26 points =_=Yeah, Guardians, as well as all non-boss enemies in the game, respawn after a Blood Moon.
I would just come back later once you have a lot more Guardian parts rather than grinding. You should be able to get a decent amount organically through playing the game.

I've really got back into the game recently.
Just got to Gerudo Town :) ready to fight my final Devine Beast.
so... Having never finished a mainline Zelda game, and having really stopped playing at Twilight Princess other than Link Between Worlds...
All I got to say it...

There's a few shrines and quests in there once you make it through the "lost" part so you'll be able to return at any point. I did it earlier today.I think I've found this Lost Woods
Is the Master Sword in there? Should I venture in there and spend an hour or two hoping to find some good stuff that'll help? My recent ventures have not been satisfying outside of a few shrines =_=
Otherwise happy new year y'all~
I was disappointed by BotW initially, but I never truly gave up on it, spending an hour or two trying to grasp the game. Not until a few days ago did it click, though. After 25hrs, I finally went to Hatano and this was basically the missing link (that and farming 4 additional hearts lol) to "get" BotW. Uhu, might make my GotY list after all, huh.
Edit: Generally not a huge fan of DLC content, but would the expansion pass make the first go-through more enjoyable, does it integrate well, or is it all end game/post game stuff?
If I even try to explore further the dang thing gets me lost again. There's a few shrines and quests in there once you make it through the "lost" part so you'll be able to return at any point. I did it earlier today.
Something tells me whatver i get from the bird people is gonna help :vThere's a trick to getting through the Lost Woods. That's the case in every Zelda game. It's appropriately named. :P

I just found out about Eventide Island. That was probably the most fun I had with the game so far, I'm glad I've been mostly blind towards this game.
Thanks mate.It doesn't require any tools or weapons. It's more of an environmental puzzle. There's the sound to clue you in when you're going the right way, but also something else that you need to pay attention to. ^^ I posted the solution in a spoiler earlier on in this page if you get truly stuck.

Really? I've always found BotW to be very easy to pick up. Just pick a direction and start going haha.I really need to get back and play this game. It's hard to pick up after putting it down for a few months. Hopefully this weekend!
The controls tripped me up a little when I started again tbh.Really? I've always found BotW to be very easy to pick up. Just pick a direction and start going haha.
I'd start over, I did when DLC 2 was released (didn't play/buy DLC1 at the time)So, I'm finally planning on buying the DLC, but I'm not sure what to do. When the game launched, me and my girlfriend put easily over 100 hours into it. All shrines, quests, dungeons etc. Thing is, we last played in June I think and I was semi-sick at the time, so I missed some portion of the game. Should I just start a new game on the new difficulty level and unlock DLC-access as I go, or do the DLC first and then start over?
Leaning towards the first personally, anyone started over for the DLC?
Thanks! Does it make the trials too hard? I don't mind the challenge, as long as it doesn't feel unfair.I'd start over, I did when DLC 2 was released (didn't play/buy DLC1 at the time)
If you want to do DLC 1 you shouldn't play master mode, it makes it horrible.
Yeah I read that in the other thread too. This game, man, this game...So I just found out that spicy peppers are flammable and catch fire if you hit them. And I thought I finally knew everything about this game.
2 Beasts down. I find myself avoiding cooking at all costs. I wish there was an easier way to pull up recipes and bulk cook. Anyone find an easier way to manage cooking?
Get yourself some Hearty Durians, and cook as many as you can in one pot. That's like the only meal I used aside from stamina mushrooms and some quest meals.2 Beasts down. Girlfriend just bought this game and it came with the season pass so we have a few questions.
Does the DLC unlock after a certain point, such as beating the game? If not, how is it integrated?
