I also got some of my first scratches on my X yesterday. Haven't scratched my iPhone in years. I'm pretty upset. It's on the front as well. Had it face down on the floor for a second to use the flashlight. Must have hit some sand.

I don't have a single scratch on my X, but sapphire is probably why I'll have to spend more on the SBSS Watch instead of getting the Aluminum model. Sucks.
The Stainless Steel nicks and scratches so bad. I'm going Ceramic next year for this very reason. I want to be close to abusive with my Watch and not have issues.

I don't think I'd quite mind the case scratching so much as the glass, where I'd notice it more. But yet I don't really dress up, even on the rare occasion I go into work. It's a conundrum, and I've been agonizing over it for almost two months. $200 difference is not nothing.

I got some for Christmas, been very impressed so far. I think I'm getting lint and stuff in the case from my pocket though lol, need to figure out the best way to clean it regularly.

I'm a big fan of Waterfield's suede jacket. Protects the screen from any dirt/sand that might've gotten into my pockets and as a bonus it cleans your phone as you slide it out. I've got the one that has a pocket, airpods/iems fit nicely in them too.

Apple Store employee in Phoenix checked the serial number of 12 phones for me and none had a VQ serial number (required for a iOS version that is guaranteed to be jailbreakable). Feels bad.

Thing is, you can just polish the silver SS and it will look as good as new (provided you don't have huge dents). I've done it once so far and it was super easy. I wouldn't act "abusive" with the ceramic either, I've seen more than enough ceramic watches with pieces missing from the case on eBay and local small ads.

I just bought one aluminum and one stainless steel. Apple makes it trivial to switch watches. However, you can not pair two watches to one phone, which is a pain.

So Era, what's the best glass screen protector? I'm thinking about the $40 Zagg one, does that price justifies the product or should I go to cheaper and just as good alternatives?

Set my new X up the other day along with a new Apple Watch series 3.

My god the new x is lightning fast compared to my 6plus. OLED is amazing and the blacks are super inky it's unreal.

Probably the thing I didn't expect however was how much I love the apple watch. Didn't really ever see myself using it but now I can't live without it. I feel like Dick Tracy with this
thing. Ability to check messages and have reminders so close by is a game changer.

My iphone 5s finally died on me, expecting to get an X in the mail Thurs. I'm kind of regretting my decision of running out and getting an Otter Defender case and Blackweb privacy screen proctor. I just went out to the store and there weren't many options. It will be interesting to see if I notice much of a jump going from a 5s, I'm guessing I will haha.

I've noticed my phone takes forever to drop from 100% to 99%. Then it waste no time in its quest to drop to 94%

Speaking of the iPhone 6 slowing down because of the battery, I've been draining the battery on my X to empty it and recharge it. At less than 1% right now and man it's lagging right now.

Bold faced lie, I switch between 3 watches regularly. Seamless.

The X still sucks though and I feel like I definitely wasted $1200

That's a guaranteed way to trash a lithium in a year.

Lithium batteries should never hit 0 or even get near it.

EVER, why do people do this to their phones, it ruins the life of the batteries

A fully discharged lithium can cause it to lose capacity to hold a charge if done for too long or too often.

If you wish to maintain an accurate battery reading at most full discharge only once every 3 months otherwise you are basically asking for your lithium to go through a full cycle quicker and therefore die quicker

Yeah. Your phone manufacturer knows this. Which means the 0% you drain it to when it shuts down is not actually a 0% charge. The only way to do that is to let it drain empty naturally over (a very long) time after it shuts down.

Had my X for nearly 2 weeks and I still love it.
I think Apple has got me back onboard their eco system with this, as much as I want to get out of it, they've pulled me back in

Has anyone started a what's on my home screen ERA edition? I searched and didn't see anything. I really enjoyed looking at the unique backgrounds and setups especially for OLED displays.

I have a iPhone X space grey 256gb and an Apple Watch series 3 grey ceramic and they are both amazing. The battery life of my series 3 watch is super long and much better than my og ss Apple Watch

Not related to your watches, but are you still using your phone case less? If so how do you feel going caseless with this phone? I usually go caseless, this is the first phone where I'm worried due to the design of the glass back and the cost of repair (I do have APP+).

I really wanted to like the grey ceramic. My biggest issue with it was that I hate normal sport bands so I would never have worn the one it came with, and that shade of grey didn't go with any other color, or any band j already have. Clashed HARD with my black Milanese loop which is a dealbreaker for me, so I went with a SBSS again.

Shame because I've been pushing for a darker ceramic edition for a while

I also rock the brown official leather case for the x. Going to get a brown strap for my watch as you can see I'm rocking the leather strap black. I have 38mm og ss and the ceramic is the 42 and prefer the bigger size. Had my og watch since launch. The new os makes a big difference.

Edit what's the best way to upload pics from the iPhone to Resetera?

Sounds about right to me. Four hours of SoT at 100% brightness while constantly streaming big heaps of data. After all, a 4.6" screen-sized phone isn't going to be packing a big battery.

When I toyed with the idea of having two Watches, I came across this and it sounded like it would work pretty well? https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205792

Yes. Having two watches to one phone is super simple. The phone even automatically detects which watch you're using without having to hit a setting or whatever. It's great.

Bold faced lie, I switch between 3 watches regularly. Seamless.

Just curious why you would use/need more than two watches?

Totally fine. I used my matte black 7 Plus caseless and that phone is much, much harder to handle compared an an X. Play for the caseless team. It's far better over here. Alternatively, the Caudabe Lucid Clear case is the closest you can get to caseless while still having something.

I upload to imgur and link from there, usually

Finally was able to get to an Apple Store and feel the weight of the Aluminum vs SS. They had a 42mm aluminum, and a 38mm SS. The 38mm SS was significantly heavier, and Apple says the 42mm is 10g heavier. I don't really like a lot of weight on my wrist like that while I'm working, so it made me realize the aluminum would be the way to go. Got an LTE in grey/sport black and I love it. I start going into work more often and need to dress up, I may one day upgrade.

I don't like the lightness of the Aluminium ones. I would have one as maybe my throw on the wrist one but I've seen far too much damage in the aluminum ones.
