For some reason my game will randomly put me on the Asian servers when I load it up. I've set it to North America several times. Sometimes it will be on NA, but then will be on Asia when I load it up. Any idea why this happens? (I'm in north america)

Whenever I don't notice it changed I realize it after I get killed in a ridiculous way by a cheater. I swear that out of the 20 games I accidentally played on the Asian servers, 15 of those deaths were from a cheater.

For instance, this last game I played, I'm on a hill between two rises. A guy beelines his buggy right to my location, jumps out and shoots me. There is no way he would have been able to see me from the angle he approached from. I was prone behind a large hill. I watched the replay and just shook my head.

My friend won our duo game by himself, I was AFK seeing to my new kitten and he slayed it, I came back just in time to see myself die to the zone in the top 10.

I doubt your video card as enough VRAM but check the system specs on Steam for specifics.

Just a couple of vids I made of me and my friends (check my sick headshot at the end of the first video)

This one is more recent and depicts one of the best moments I've had playing this game.

I've been getting random crashes non stop, just got the game so the first impression isn't great on the technical end of things. However, I did troubleshooting and managed to get through a 30+ minute game without issue. Spent most of the evening playing duos with a more experience player, had a ton of fun learning the ropes. Finished my night off with a nice 5th place solo game.

I've been watching streamers play this all year, and now that I'm at the party it's still a great time. Honestly some of the most intense gameplay I've experienced, gives me the same feeling CoD4 Search & Destroy does. I'll keep playing, and hopefully the crashing won't come back and ruin it.

EDIT: I'll add that it runs smoothly on high settings over here.

Any idea how to stop the (new to me) stutter? It's gotten much worse since I last played a few days ago. Everything freezes (audio buzzes out) then comes back. I've updated drivers, but still the same problem. I'm trying really hard to be positive about this game, but man, they are making it tough, hah. That shit has gotten me killed way too much.

In my recent win the last enemy just gifted me a chicken dinner by dying outside the zone at the very last downsizing. There should be an achievement for winning like that.

Hard to say. Game performance is a continuous work in progress and that's why you won't see a comprehensive performance analysis any time soon, probably.

Maybe you could get a Steam library share from a friend and just try it.

I feel like I'm encountering cheats far more often, though perhaps that is due to the reset when 1.0 launched.

Regardless, the zombie mode kinda sucks as a zombie, especially when the humans turn weapons up to max. Must be a blast as a human though.

Yesterday in every match I played (on both maps) all of a sudden I was getting 20-30 FPS everywhere if post-processing was on anything but very low, it didn't matter what the rest of my settings were. Never had this problem before, and now today all of a sudden it's back to normal... and nothing with my PC has changed, I don't get it.

Bought the game, played my first match(had that one guy saying "niggers" again & again in the waiting room, how... unsurprising), and came across nobody except that one guy I saw running after a crate a few miles away from me(killed him with one bolt from my crossbow!) like 15 mins later. Sadly, I died soon after, sniped from afar. Thing is, while watching the deathcam, I don't see at all how the guy could know I was there. I was not even a tiny spot before he zoomed in on me. Is there some visual trick I'm missing or maybe a hack that shows where people are in bright colors or something?

Some people just are very sharp about where to look. It happens when u play long and know the spots

Everything from screen quality, to resolution, to graphics setting will help in thaf

And yeah, game is full of male teens and 20 something year olds screaming the N word and Rick and Morty references. Just mute the lobby

How long were you playing before this happened? Is your framerate unlocked? Card? With uncapped framerate my 1080ti power % starts dropping after 3+ hours causing increasing loss of performance. Temps (c68 deg), clock (2000mhz) and usage (c99%) all stay normal, so it's some kind of power throttling going on. If I cap framerate though at say 90fps I don't have this issue.

Anyway, I don't think I've ever been this frustrated with the netcode in the game. I can hit players with enough bullets to down a rhinoceros, yet on their cam I've barely let off a shot. It makes firefights often feel like a lottery. Is having a low ping a disadvantage against a very high ping player? How can you see a player's ping?

Honestly I had a great couple games over the weekend with players who spoke chinese and minimal english. I was on na servers. We worked together to find share loot and had to develop our own language. Added a whole dimension to the game.

I find the community less toxic in general.

Man, I'm not sure if its just bad latency or godlike armor, but I must have hit some guys like 10 times from a distance with my AR and they never went down. I sometimes didn't even see red splatter as if I missed them when I was clearly aiming at them.

Then you didn't hit them sadly.

I have a really hard time lining up shots after 1.0 hit. I don't understand how the guns work anymore and its frustrating.

Some people do play with a shader program that makes enemies higher contrast or differently colored, I believe. Having a massive monitor also helps.

Went from no chicken dinners to pulling 3 in 8 or 9 games in a squad. Finally getting confident with the gunplay, dropping somewhere populated and getting right to the action really is a great way to get a feel for things.

Is there any good beginner guide or video somewhere? I've played a few games today, but I barely come across anyone, and when I do, I usually end up dead because
a) I can't aim for some reason
b) I have terrible gear vs the guy/girl I'm fighting. I do search every buildings I can early in the match for loot, but doesn't seem enough.
c) They attack me by surprise and I have no time to react. Which is ironic because the few times I did the surprise attack, I end up dead because reasons. :(

The 2 times I did end up in the top 10 was purely because I met almost nobody the whole match. Yay!

I just died to a guy that shot me through a wall...the fuck. On deathcam that's what it looked like, but I checked replay as well. He was following me through the wall and shot through the wall at me.

Edit: Is there a way to view someone else's replay, or link your replay for others to view? Or is the only way to just record video of what I'm talking about and put it on YouTube?

Is there any reason why they don't update/improve the ground texture in the lobby? Looks like something from a N64 game.

I went ahead and just recorded video of it. Does the lag of this carry over to the replay still? I've seen death cams that showed them shooting behind me and I'm pretty sure were lag, but this was something else.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Acx0ftZ-8Co&feature=youtu.be
I've seen something similar to this before, and I think it's desync/the replay somehow eating some of the other player's inputs so that when the replay re-inputs all of the recorded key presses, it misses some and so the player model's position out of sync with where they actually were in-game. Meaning, the replay somehow missed an input where your killer shifted to the right to look out the window, so it looks like they're looking through a wall.

The example I saw was even more egregious, where a guy fell down a cliff and then spent several seconds running in place straight into a wall (clearly they had actually run straight down the hill to their left to get into the zone in the actual game), and then started shooting through the ground and cliff (and not taking any blue damage despite being in the blue) when if you tried to eyeball the "corrected" position they would have actually been in the zone and able to see the players.

I see, that explanation makes more sense. Thanks.

If I'm driving in a truck being chased by a motorcycle and he slams into me, he should go flying off that shit. That's all I'm saying.

13 hours in and the chicken dinner is resisting me. Ended 2nd once and 3rd twice on Solo FPP and quite a few times on top10. It is resisting me fiercely, but soon the chicken dinner will be mine. If I learn not to be so aggresive.

I understand the need of the dead/blue circle, otherwise games could literally last for days, but I really wish there was more than 2-3 mins before it start shrinking again, it feels like late in the match, I'm fighting the damn circle more than other players lol. I only have time to camp a high floor or windows for like 30 secs/1 min before I got to start running again.

Which is the point of the system.

It really depends on where the circle starts. Sometimes I feel like it takes ages for the circle to get anywhere and other times it's like I have to run the entire match. That does remind me that I still don't like that the circle can move in the same direction multiple times in a row. Having it appear on the opposite side of the circle a couple of times is fine, but at a certain point I feel like it's too much. Bluehole pls

I know, I'm not asking for people to be able to camp one spot for 15 mins, I guess I'm just a bit pissed off about my last match where right after I took what I thought was a safe distance from the circle, I decided to explore some building and when I was on the last floor, I saw someone on the ground level and I lost my advantage a few seconds later when the circle reached both of us(I was like.. "really, already?". I sort of panicked and decided to start running for the safe zone, but got killed by the guy I spotted earlier.
Maybe I should switch my priorities when I'm inside the circle lol.

Building looting should really only be a priority in the first two circles at max. After that priority should shift to tactical positioning for protecting from and/or killing other players. At that point, you can loot the dead and/or grab incidental loot in areas that you've taken tactical position in.

Thought as in your example... sometimes you just have to move even when there are enemies around. At that point, just move as quickly and carefully as you can while keeping an eye out for them in areas they have high potential to travel from/through.
