Are the online things refreshed daily? I did 4 of those photo missions where you have to find the chest and I found 1 blue silhouette of Kat that asks to judge a photo. Will there be more tomorrow?

The treasure missions seem to be daily, but I'm not sure about the blue Kat's.

Does anyone know if you also get Dusty tokens if someone solves your treasure hint or judges one of your photos? I uploaded a photo at the pier where that dude for the mining missions is located (pink hair, tsundere... I forgot his name), but no luck yet.

It seems you can rate photos as long as you find them, but I don't recall running into more than maybe two or three a day, so I'm not sure if there's a limit on those. Even if you do the four treasure hunts available for one day, it's possible to still find treasure outside of those and being asked to take a photo hint to go along with it, but I've only managed to do that once (it's still worth 80 tokens, as with the others).

I'm uncertain of how much you get for someone rating one of your own photos (they have to give it a "Nice!" rating though, IIRC), but you get 30 tokens for rating ones others have submitted. If someone manages to find a treasure from one of your hints, you get 220 tokens, pretty much the largest payout for any single thing in the game (the closest after that being winning a challenge against someone, which nets you 180 tokens).

Gravity Rush is a far far better and more creative Infamous than that game
Seriously, this game makes it look like Insomniac made the most boring, generic thing possible which is kinda true
Sucker Punch, not Insomniac.

And Infamous 1 and 2 are fine creatively. Second Son is the generic looking one.

I hadn't made that connection at all.

Damn, that's a lot. Hope someone gets the hints I send, then.

Story wise, they're connected so you must play the first one to understand the second one
The second game improves on many things, has new gravity modes, and more sidestuff
Also, first game is 60 fps, but 2nd game isn't.
How necessary is it though?

I beat the first game 1 and a half times (dropped the vita version halfway but beat it on PS4) and the only thing of importance I can recall is Raven's backstory and Kat's backstory/secret and Sid's connection to her.

It's fairly important, a number of characters come back and there are plenty of nods to events from the first game. Either way I'd still play the first one since it's so short and it doesn't hurt to be safe.

Oh there is a 'movie' animation short thingy mabob on YouTube that explains the gap between GR1 and 2 so check that out before you play 2. I remember it being called Gravity Rush: Overture if I recall correctly.

Yep, it's linked in the OP under 'media'.

Good to see some love for this game. I feel like it should've been released on Vita also, maybe that would've helped boost it's sales.

I'd play the first game first not only because of references and story, but because it really is the better game, aside from visuals/polish/content quantity.

I played about 7-8 hours yesterday until I finished the game and I've got mixed feelings, but definitely I'm glad I played it and it exists and the franchise and some characters will be missed. I never really liked Syd, though, lol.

What a weird pair of games. It's clear these need to be played (and done, more experiments like these, please), even if they have many flaws and are obviously not for everyone. The second one is kind of disappointing in various aspects and some main missions are not good either, but I'm glad I got to play it and really happy it got greenlighted and made.

Oh and now onto the dlc, which I hope is more focused.

What's the point of taking the collection pictures like the men's and women's portraits? Do you get something cool?

It might be worth pointing out the Delvool Trench Mine missions in the OT. These are 50 layers of challenges (30 from the base game, and an additional 20 from the DLC) that offer unique talismans if you complete the challenges and boss fights within. Aside from that, there are also plenty of regular talismans to be found that can upgrade Kat's abilities.

Just did the paper delivery side mission and there should definitely have been an oldschool paperboy outfit for Kat. Flat cap, suspenders, pants to just below the knees and a messy white shirt. That would've looked so good on her. Missed opportunity.

Just beat this game. Thought it was pretty good overall but definitely not without some major problems. I couldn't bring myself to finish all the sidequests because a lot of them are just plain not fun to play. Right before this I played through Nier, which suffered from the same problem, so I was extra agitated at how shitty some of these sidequests were. Also seems like they did nothing to improve the camera from the first game. Constantly fighting with it during battles all game long. Even got stuck in a building during a sidequest and had to reset one time.

Story was alright. Was trying to do too much sometimes. Despite buying a Vita in 2014 and playing through and enjoying the first one, I obviously didn't remember shit about the story because most of the callbacks were lost on me. Even after looking stuff up I don't remember some of these characters at all. Was also surprised at the last third of the game as I thought it was just gonna be some quick little thing. They probably could've made a whole other game out of the last arc, but I'm glad they didn't because it was definitely dragging at the end. It's hard to explain. I was enjoying myself but also wanted the game to end at the same time.

They seemed to leave the door ever so slightly open for a sequel but I hope if one is ever made they find a way to make lock-on work or just plain fix the camera. And if you're gonna load up on sidequest, make the game fun.

Still, the core gameplay is great when the camera isn't giving you fits, the characters are mostly great, and the soundtrack is amazing. I'd put it up there with Nier's even though Nier gets all the attention.

I really loved this game. The combat could have been refined a little bit (if there's a GR3, I'd want them to take notes on the homing attacks from a 3D Sonic or Rodea the Sky Soldier) but overall, I thought Gravity Rush 2 was very charming. I'm going to have to play a few more treasure hunts and online challenges before the servers go down, because I think they're some of the best parts of the game.

Nice to get this going. It'd be sweet if everyone could spend the next few weeks working together to get dusty tokens.

Also if anyone happens to have a spare White Kat code I would greatly appreciate it. I missed the boat on it and it still bums me out. .v.

I've got a White Kat code for a Hong Kong account. As long as the PS4 is set to primary on both accounts I believe it will appear ingame on your regular account.

Let me know if you want it and I'll PM it to you.

I pretty much hated the DLC, thank god it was free.

Yeah it was garbage lol. The story bits were neat but if people thought the camera in the base game was bad...

And I think GR2 is far and away better than 1. 1 was a good game and I was excited for the sequel but 2 blew me away and I was not expecting it to.

I kept the vanilla costume for most of the game.

I still have no idea what they were thinking locking that one behind Dusty Tokens instead of it being unlocked automatically when it was literally the first one that the game had everyone use anyway.
My go to outfit is still Spy Kat, but I haven't unlocked any of the new ones yet except the Mining outfit.
Spy Kat is quite nice. I'm still very early on in the game (been spending far more time grinding tokens than advancing the story), but School Uniform 1.0 and 2B Kat are also great.

got this in the sale and managed to join that dusty coin community mentioned earlier in the thread managed to unlock the traffic cone today so while not exciting to u lock stoked that it means unlocking everything should be pretty quick and painless.
since everyone's on about outfits for Kat the facts remain that 2b will always win that argument hands down.
story wise it's been pretty good so far some light nods to class issues is a nice plus for sure. side quests are 90% annoying but the completionist in me has to do them as soon as they show on map.

I can't help but use the default outfit no matter what. A hero has to stay in costume.

I finally got around to playing the game a decent amount today and I have to say I'm enjoying it a lot more now that I'm out of the intro area. I felt that part dragged a bit. Once you get to a wide open space with lots of verticality, it feels like home again.

No problem, I'll PM it shortly.
I believe the code also grants a selection of tracks from the soundtrack too :)

Soundtrack works! Costume didn't though. Hong Kong version is apparently considered a separate SKU from the NA one, so the DLC only works with its respective region's version of the game. At least I'm covered if I double-dip on the Hong Kong version down the line though. :V

Cheers nonetheless. I really appreciate the generosity, and the soundtrack is beyond divine.

Yeah, for sure. Banga Settlement was fine as a tutorial but it does take a while to get out there. Jirga Para Lhao is when the game really begins. Flying around and exploring it is the highlight of the game. There's so much to see and experience that it's just fantastic.

Honestly if the game was just flying around a city and collecting gems I'd probably still have a lot of fun lol.

Yeah, the miner outfit being locked behind Dusty tokens is weird. I imagine people starting game thinking: hey, that looks nice, can't wait to re-equip it. But anyone starting the game after the servers are closed will find out they can't once they get the camera.

I love how the 2B outfit looks on Kat, especially the one without visor. It's panty shot galore during gameplay, however. I'm surprised they didn't give her a pair of shorts.

It's a crime to put stealth/stalk missions in a game that's so much fun to just roam around.

I hate them in every single game. Forget loot boxes, this is what I'd pick if I could choose something to never show up in a game again.

I think stalk missions aren't too bad. I like walking on the walls and what from time to time.

Stealth missions where you auto-fail however... UGH. They could at least make it where the mission is actually a joke because you can just fly under the building and completely avoid being seen. But they even places guards there sometimes, and it's just... UGH.
