This was common on the other forum and it's pretty shitty behaviour. We should devise another way to give out codes so people can see who got them. Maybe there's something that can be added to the forum software to do that.
I have 90 Gold Coins expiring on the US My Nintendo and I want to use it on somebody who would actually want it.
So first person to quote this with whatever items that total 90 gold coins on the MyNintendo site (or up to 120 Gold Coins on one item if what you want is a 120 Gold coin item) I'll redeem the coins and send you whatever that code is. If the first person can't or doesnt want to reach the 90 coin threshold then whatever is left over can go to anybody else.
This is a US account and I think region locking is still a thing on Wii U/3ds so you must have a US Eshop account.
(I know everybody has coins expiring but hey might as well try to give these away)

How difficult is it to say thank you ?
They should give people that don't say thank you a tag like "ungrateful" or something like that and a warning. And if they do it again maybe ban them.
How can they be tracked though? In theory that sounds nice, but in reality, it can't be done.
That's why modbot was given the whole giveaway-management functionality on neogaf. To give givers more control over who they gave to.
It might be best for the code giver to have people PM for codes. That way you know who's getting them.
Or be first to quote like Killthem did. That avoids your inbox from being flooded. :P
Yes you are right. Maybe only give stuff away via PM ? Or maybe only give part of the code and the rest of the code once the person quotes the post ? I don't know.

Just finished reading the convo on this last page. Will start PMing people codes until a better option is available!
An alternative could also be somehow tying it to post count/length of time on the board like thread creation so you don't just have people who registered to grab as much stuff as possible without doing anything else. Or maybe both at the same time!
I think some form of Raffle Bot or Modbot would work best tbh. Its essentially luck of the draw at that point (which it already is now) and the winner/recipient can be held accountable for any grab and go's. It'll be easier to monitor who participates/contributes appropriately in this thread.
