since we are sharing controversial opinions here, what would you do to me, when I told you I prefer AOTC over ROTS?

Max seemed to try too hard to fit in in that episode (and always had to have the last word) but damn did I love when he broke Rich Evans down asking him to explain Double Down.

Drank some beer tonight, saw The Last Jedi, drank some more beer, got home, ate pizza and watched the TLJ half in the bag and it's honestly kind of weirding me out right now how my opinions on the new Star Wars stuff has aligned with the RLM guys' so far lol. I more or less agreed with them on TFA and R1 and I agree with them here. I feel like I enjoyed this movie more than they did, however, cause I thought all the dumb crap that happened was thoroughly entertaining.

Did you also mistake the gnome booty dance with yoda booty dancing due to dementia?

I also really agreed with th the RLM gang on The Last Jedi. I feel like everything around the release of the movie was more of a big deal than the movie itself. The trailer first being shown, the evil BB-8 being revealed, even the fricken' Porgs, but in the actual movie, evil BB-8 is in it for 5 seconds and he does nothing interesting and the Porgs were cute but basically abandoned at a certain point.

Some fun stuff happened in the movie, but all the lame jokes stood out like a sore thumb, it was WAY too long, and I really done know if I care about what happens next.

Like Jay was talking about, I honestly don't know if I particularly need or want to see these movies in theater anymore.

Yep, they absolutely aligned with my thought on leaving the cinema - my hype for IX and pretty much anything SW now has died. Getting to 2/3 in a trilogy and feeling no momentum for the third act is a big fucking problem.

I think TLJ was a visually gorgeous movie that was structually flawed and on a subjective level - the portrayal of Luke pretty much ended my love affair of Star Wars. It's over. And it's weird because as a night at the cinema, it was a good enough time. Equally strange - I lived through and disliked the prequels, but even in their most terrible hour, I still liked the SW brand.

Let the past die indeed.

Today should hopefully be the day for the Christmas Best of the Worst, judging by the last three years' upload date!

The more simple answer is the fandango fiasco delayed them seeing tlj which delayed the review which delayed the botw

The start of the Justice League HitB.

Rich said the block of ice would "stay hard for hours", and then Jay did a montage of "That's what [insert here] said" using the names of recent sexual predators. They used an actual [insert here] for the last one, because of course it's not over.

So what if their Christmas special had Max Landis as a special guest? Aren't you happy it got delayed? Imagine living a life where you had to watch that guy for an hour on Christmas morning.

I'm pretty sure it's delayed because editing one of these things is a giant pain in the ass to begin with and not cuz it's taking forever for Jay to 'Nikolai Yehzov' mr rainbowhawk out of the episode for being a sex creep

I find myself hoping it's a Merry Breenmas episode. Though I worry the crew could lost their minds. Or at least get very drunk. Drunk Jack and Mike were especially entertaining.

Though I don't think we've had an episode where all the movies came from the same person. At least I can't recall offhand.

Can you imagine if they really did edit Max out. Like, they pixelate him and garble his voice, subtitling his words, lol.

I would outright laugh my ass off if they actually had Max Landis in this and are editing him out in a hilarious way. Like replacing his shots on the sofa with one of the canadians and adding his voice acting on top of that. But knowing them, they'd probably add a nice little joke at the start about it, and possibly just watch another 3 movies with another guest and discuss those. Seems like less of a pain .

I feel like they'd probably just let the episode play as is with some kind of pre episode "this was filmed before the allegations and are presenting it as filmed, and we don't condone blah blah blah"
