Rich's shitty game opinions are just a ruse to show that he is in fact, not a god amongst men.

That hack fraud is just pretending to be have shitty opinions!

I actually never watched Pre-Rec(tum), is it really that bad?
Jack keeps the convo in check most of the time. Rich just talks a lot of nonsense and is inconsistently contrarian too often.

One day he docks a game with no complaints about the mechanics for not reinventing the genre and the next he might be dismissing complaints of sameness with a "What did you expect? It's ___!"

Pre-Rec streams are only really worth it if Jay stops by. Their Friday the 13th streams have been nice. Every other week they go on a repeat discussions about atheism. Which I don't care about their faith or lack-there-of but it is they same shit EVERY FUCKING TIME.

The actual edited reviews are hit and miss. They peaked with The Order 1886.

If you've got five minutes, watch Rich Evans vs All of Pokemon Wisdom.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZQtia9ZyyQ

(For context, Rich hates JRPGs. Says they're mindless "press A to continue" games. Jack likes the Pokeymans. Rich was grudgingly convinced to try it, but he insisted on "playing stupid" and not strategizing his team. Jack told him he would pay for that when he hits the first wall...)

I also like this minute or two from their Mad Max stream.

Edit: Jay plays Friday the 13th

the pre rec issue is that for the most part you can go to many avenues for video game reviews and opinions on the internet. The only reason to come to pre rec would be that it's with red letter media people, but the chemistry and jokes between Jack and Rich doesn't compare as other dynamics. Not to mention their opinions seem generally negative as a whole since Rich is so freaking cranky. The Mario vs Rabbids review had some interesting takes since Rich is a big XCOM fan, but other videos tend to be them saying what they dislike of X or Y game.

I can get video game opinions elsewhere at that rate.

I enjoy Pre-Rec; Jay and Rich are pretty engaging and the reviews are well put together, despite the fact that Rich and I have very contrasting opinions on video games. Still, that man loves his Dead Rising, and I won't argue with him. It left me mesmerised the first time I played it and l never quite got over just how amazing, silly and quirky it was. The best 360 game I ever played. I find the streams to be enjoyable when they're shooting the breeze about films and games, and tend to stick them on my phone as audio files. I don't really get much from actually watching people play games in general, so I enjoy them as podcasts, particularly when Jay turns up.

I remember after finishing The Last Guardian, loving every difficult, awkward minute with that game and watching the Pre:Rec review straight after. Good Lord, they hated it with a passion and the grumpy bastards proceeded to tear it pieces. But, that's alright. They entertained me and that's all I need from these pieces. If you're there for validation, you're in the wrong place, Jack and Rich all over the map when it comes to what makes a great game. They're not professional reviewers, they're damaged enthusiasts withered by the winds of time etching small sand particles of joy from their soul. To be this dour must be divine.

I remember listening to Rich talk about his irrational hatred of JRPGs once, and he said that back in the day someone tried to get him to play one on SNES, saying it was great. But he thought it was crap. And then he vaguely described it, and I realized he was talking about Lufia 2, a genuine masterpiece. And he was mostly upset that the Maxim/Tia childhood-friend shipping crashed and burned just as he was getting into it.

It's like... I'm amazed at how wrong Rich's opinion could be. But it's still interesting to watch.

When I've heard Rich say that RPGs are for people who hate gameplay, I decided I can probably safely ignore any of their video game related opinions and stick with RLM. I did enjoy watching them literally tear the Mass Effect series to pieces, though. Very cathartic.

Seems like Pre Rec is stuck at where many people feel about RLM/Half in the Bag. They want the negative opinions with humorous quips when it's an easy target.

So I'm on Youtube looking for rice cooker recipes because that's what I do now apparently, and I come across this one. Now where have I heard that music before...
Yeah, it's a song called "Fifth Avenue Stroll".
I think it's included in the iMovie editing software so you can hear it in a few things.
I've heard it in another, different youtube cooking show, as well as a
Japanese porn.

Well, despite the wrongness of Rich's opinions on JRPG's, the miserable, set-in-his-ways bastard has turned me onto numerous games that I would have ordinarily dismissed. FTL, XCOM and Enter The Gungeon. So, I celebrate Pre:Rec in all its unpopular glory. We need more miserable bastards moaning about the games they hate and, when the moon is red and dripping with blood, talking about the odd one that they've loved. Viva la Rich and That Other Guy!

I'd rather be watching Vampire Assassin. It's about supporting the little man, you know?

This month has been very fruitful with new content. I don't know if we will be getting a Halloween Commentary Track this year, but I guess we didn't get one last year either since Gremlins was in November.

Vampire Assassin wasn't Ron Hall's BOTW debut. He was in Pocket Ninjas

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0356061/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

as well as Orgazmo. I need to watch that again and see if I can pick him out.

Vampire Assassin was 2005, which seems really late for a Blade knock off. Blade Trinity was 2004.

Hey, Mel Novak was also in Pocket Ninjas and Future War

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0636893/

I guess I need to watch Lake Mungo then. I could find a crappy trailer on youtube.

Is it really scary?
From what Jay discussed and what I'm seeing from reviews, people are saying it's just very unsettling because it's a found footage/documentary where the ghost chasing them down with loud noises never happens. It's just very horrific to see the ghost in the background. Seems the general idea is that it's a supernatural thriller/drama with a sense of dread.

I'll watch it with friends if we can find it.

So, I was sick with the flu back in February of this year, and randomly watched one of the Plinkett reviews having never seen anything RLM, and I've become forever hooked. I was out for like 5 days and I watched soooo many episodes of Half in the Bag and Best of the Worst.

The recent episode of Best in the Worst w/ Vampire Assassin/etc. was amazing. Jack was so wrecked by the end.

Me personally, I'm really looking forward to contributing to this community. It seems very cool.

Alright, what's everyone's favourite episode of Wheel of the Worst specifically? Me personally I'm a big fan of Everything is Terrible!, so I find it my favourite part of RLM, and is what got me into the channel in the first place (aside from Plinkett).

I'd have to say episode 13, where they watch every tape. Safe Crossing: An 'Egg-celent' Idea is a masterpiece and must be uploaded in its entirety at all costs

Sounds great, I mean the trailer was kind of unsettling, so I'll watch it with the GF.

I'm just so tired of jump scares *blaring noise*.
