Ohhh, I took that post completely the wrong way.
I've seen communities have that reaction to cosplay in general far to many times, and always try to get some kind of explanation for it.
Also, thanks for confirming that...I haven't played past about 30 minutes of witcher 3 yet, and haven't watched GoTs either..but it didn't seem right.
In all seriousness, this is a pretty rad Theron Guard
The heft is what makes this cool. You can feel the authentic weight rather than just feeling like a guy in a suit.
Any one know good sites for getting wigs from or should I try and find a physical place that's drivable? Putting together a The Sorrow cosplay and I can't for the life of me get my hair to commit to it. Was planning on just keeping the hood on but it still shows too much to not have the hair right.
I don't do much cosplay, but there was this one time at ACEN '06...

well, the Spiderman suite is an already printed spandex suit. I'm just 'pimping' it as much as possible by glueing on / sewing on rubber straps where the black rubbery material would be. - so even if i stopped working on it entirely, it'd look rather decent. I'd love to make some actual web shooters, though. Might try 3D printing the ones i found on thingiverse. Otherwise i'll just try to craft some from some black crafting foam and velcro them on.
The Wonder Woman costume just needs some assembly and i wanna add some wear and tear, battle scars and such.
sword and shield are pretty much done as well. i need to add some kind of hidden cellphone / money pouch to the inside of the shield, though.
Oooo, v v nice. Yeah having a pocket for cash/phone in a costume is so nice. It's too bad I forget it half the time, lol.
I love making props, I wish I had the space/money to make them all the time.
Tell me about it ... i'm going from Han Solo (vest with like ... 5 pockets,
to Poe Dameron (flight suit with 6 sewed on pockets)
to freaking spandexy Spider man.
Luckily i got finished with both costumes in time.
Oh boy, cosplaying as Spiderman at a comiccon must be really close to what those princesses at Disneyland experience.
"Daddy, daddy! Look, it's spiderman!" - "Hey, spidey, can we take a photo?"
Next year, i definitely wanna make costumes that are less about shaping EVA foam and maybe more about working with (non spandex) fabric again. Also, I wanna craft some sort of long-ass staff. Also, i wanna add LED lights to something!

My husbando and I are gearing up for Megacon in orlando later this month. We're mostly ready to go except for a few odds and ends. Doing Agent Cooper and a waitress from Twin Peaks, Star Trek Officers (I'm OS and he's doing doing movie dress uniform), Princess Leia and Obi-Wan, and Maleficent.
