Georgopol, or Giorgio for his friends, is actually a pretty good place to loot and usually is not as crowded as the school. Give it a try :)
Congrats! Yeah, the rush of adrenaline this game gives you when you are one step away from winning and then pulling it off... it's one of the most intense things I've ever played. When I get a good result the tension is so high I usually need a few minutes to relax and get back in shape to play anything else.
Had a circle close in on there and me and my mate were sitting ducks.

The crate price resets every Monday! So it'll be back down to 700 again come Monday. I only ever buy the crates at 700 because it's the same stuff in all of them.

It's all cosmetic stuff. If you want to pay to get more shirts and boots, do it. If not, build up your BP and buy one or two chests a week. No one is making you buy the chests above 1400.
Omfg I was doing so well. Multiple kills and while I was looting the game crashed. But the game actually puts you right back in the match if you start it up again.
How fucking awesome is that? How come not one other online game has this? Seriously impressed with that. Everything was intact when I came back.

It's actually awesome that you can get back into a crashed game. It's happened to me twice and both times I was back in shortly and hardly skipped a beat.
You have to hold X to reload. I would suggest looking up the controls, since they are actually quite complicated.
Yeah that is a remedy for a game breaking bug I would say. With any other game you're just shit out of luck really and here you can get right back into the action. Same would happen if my connection were to disconnect for a few minutes?
On PC you can sell your loot, on Xbox One you can't. It seems like the developers didn't think about this when porting the game, hopefully they'll change it. The prices for loot boxes shoot reset every Monday.
It's not surprising, the port reeks of a rush job. Should have been delayed by months, but I'm sure Microsoft needed them to hit before Christmas. Oh well, it'll all get worked out in the end, just some bumpy first days.
I quite like solo in this, despite hating it in other BR games. Only played 3 games though so might be a bit early to say how much.
Being able to rejoin after a crash is great idea too, 2/3 games crashed, but wasn't a problem thanks to that.
Is there anyway to have ADSing not be toggle too? I couldn't find the settings in game and forgot to check at the menu. If you can't, I think I'm out until it's added.

No way to customize controls unfortunately. Still think its such an odd design decision but I've just kind of gotten used to it for now it's tolerable at least.
Feels good, picking up the m24 was a wise choice, playing tactically and flanking the final circle was a good move, lots of people just fighting to keep tabs on.
Got to the final 4 people in duos in small circle and my friend and I were fortunate to be in a small hut with good cover. The other two guys were both on they're own so we had the numbers advantage too....when...all of a sudden my friend spots one of them and runs out of our hut despite me yelling at him to stick together and let them come to us. We finished 3rd as I got killed trying to revive his ass.

Ah, well hopefully custom controls is added quick. I think I'll hold off playing for a while. I can probably get use to it too, but I don't really want to, as it'll just fuck me up in other FPS. And if they add analog stick crouching too, I'd probably enjoy it far more than just forcing myself to get use to it.

I'm going to have to try this... I assumed all the console functionality would be in the locked off "reserved" part of the systems resources and so make no difference.

Holding y to put guns away definitely makes you sprint faster. There was a post on reddit with the various speeds in metres per second.
Man having a blast with this game. Played a few rounds with my brother when a car pulled up to the area we where in. They went into a house we already looted(shut the door as we left). We snuck round and stole there car. They come running out shooting at us as the blue swallowed them. Sometimes its better to run.

Two buddies and I have been sitting in the lobby to find a squad game for 10 minutes with no success.
Solo matchmaking is instant. What gives?
EDIT: So we finally get in a game. One friend hates this game. Will probably go for a refund tonight. The other guy is iffy on it but is leaning toward refunding it as well. I join and try to teach them stuff to hopefully make it fun. First thing I do is find a pistol, crouch in a corner to reload it...and a table loads in, trapping me in the corner. I cannot move. Hardly the good impression I was trying to make.

I can always find a squad game within seconds, we also have 3 people.

I thought it was a somewhat common feature? I lost connection in Gears 4 yesterday and jumped right back in.

Is the audio this unbalanced on the PC version, your in the bunker and you can hear vehicles and air strikes clear as day. They need to put some working into the audio tech as its hard to tell where shit is coming from and i have a 5.1 system
Got my first chicken dinner. Played for monthssss on PC and only got to the top 5. Maybe I'll stick to Xbox.
The game is roughly the PC version from back in April or so with the addition of vaulting. It's a work in progress and I would expect the ability to sell off items in February or so.
I'll have to disagree here. It really depends on your setup. I have a pretty decent receiver and speakers and can tell exactly where the sounds (gunfire, footsteps) are coming from. Headphones can be great for hearing all the action, but to say that speakers with discrete sound channels are not optimal is just wrong.
TV audio, HTIB or soundbar setup might not cut it, but good surround sound speakers with a good dedicated receiver can't be beat.

I just played a match where someone was chasing me on a motorcycle, he missed, circled around and when he approached I took a shotty to his body and he flew off his bike LMAO this game is fucking awesome.
Turning various sensitivities up and the dead-zone down to 2 made a significant difference for me. I made it to "top ten" two matches in a row. Also, this was good stuff.
Went into squad mode. Got matched with four randoms I think. As I was parachuting down. Game crashed. Hopped back in, but the map was closing in, and time was running out, and the circle was far. Started moving trying to find a car. Ending up running for 3 mins, found a Jeep. My teammates were still waaaay outside the circle fooling around. I turned my Jeep around, picked them all up.
Then, a dune buggy came out of no where and started shooting us. I went after it. Bang bang bang. What a chase. It was awesome!
One of my teammates died on the way. We found another enemy and we all hopped out. He took out my two guys (we were all weak I think), but I shot him and knocked him out. Then I preceded to revive both my teammates, who stole my kill, and then killed me. I guess because I was looting the guys body too? :( feels bad man.
