The rate at which BP increases for a loot crate is outrageous. In the several hours I've played, with one chicken dinner, one top three, and two top tens, I've earned two low texture pairs of pants. Now you're telling me my next chance for a baseball cap will cost 2800? Get fucking fuck out!

Besides being a pathetically low incentive to keep playing, why in the deepest pit of hell would anyone purchase a PUBG loot box with real bucks?

It resets on Monday (or so we've been told). I think they ramp up b/c of the Steam market which...shouldn't affect us.

Hoping it changes for console.

They've said they don't want people to grind for lootboxes. Just buy a couple a week every time the price resets.

I still think the best strategy is to not engage an enemy with a firearm if you don't have a firearm yourself, but whatever floats your boat.

The framerate near the zone / at the end of the game is absolutely absurd. It tanks so hard it makes it such a struggle to aim and just play.

It's a bit of both. Sections of the map have a higher chance of better items, but what items are actually there and where they are is random. There's maps online that show where the hotspots are, just google it. Generally anyplace that has great loot is going to be hectic as soon as you land. The plus side is if you manage to come out alive you'll be packing the best stuff in the game.

I'm playing terribly today. Can't get the drop on anyone. I guess that's how this game goes sometimes. Still having lots of fun and am looking forward to some updates.

One game I had a great setup. Had helmet, lvl 3 vest, lvl 3 backpack, kar98 4x, m16 and lots of ammo. I get popped as I leave a building, never saw the guy. My awareness isn't good enough and I need to look carefully before I leave buildings.

Awesome.. thanks.. I've been sticking to little crap villages to start and just slowly scrounging stuff while everyone else kills each other.

It's pretty tense when you need to sprint to the next circle area.. but man, this game is FUN. I can't understand why so many people are poo-poo'ing it without even playing it.

I started a Duo with a friend the other night and we dropped into the school. He hit the first floor and I went to second, go into the second room and found nothing - heard someone in the hall and warned my buddy. Saw the guy run by and he had a shotgun and assault rifle, so I knew I was probably dead. Waited until he was in another room looting and jumped him, fists a flying. He missed with two shotgun blasts while I landed some punches, then switched to the AR and hit me once before I killed him. I'm yelling on the mic "I GOT HIM! I GOT HIM!" and Trev couldn't fucking believe it.

We both wound up dead shortly after. Spent too much time looting and couldn't find a car to get to the circle. Got into a firefight with two guys on a bike and we all wound up dead. We wouldn't let them get back to the bike, they wouldn't let us get to it... The zone took us all.

Some people can't understand other people having fun with things that aren't fun to them or they think shouldn't be fun. Not sure, why.

Even with all it's issues - which the game does have - if this is the baseline of the game that continues to get improved going forward, count me in for the ride. It's such a fun game that has it's hooks in me very strongly.

Still dont see the point of those crates and different clothes. When within 2 min of starting the match you have something else on. Its offcourse part of how the game is. But its a shame. Love how you really have a special character or outfit in Fortnite you see all game.

Just got downed by a teammate and then he killed me. At first I thought it was on accident when he downed me but then proceeding to kill me... sad. Guess there will always be those kind of people.

Does the PC version let you have squads of 5?

Quite a bit of issues with matchmaking with a squad. It takes a damn long time for the fourth player to join in but most of the time nobody joins at all. Is that a case of really no players around or is this a issue?

Also quite a bit of lag in my matches for about two hours now. Just out of the blue I get those lag hitches or however you call it. That's their servers right?

People happily played the PC version even when BP was turned off and you didn't get a reward. Same with when ranks were turned off. The game is just fun and that other stuff doesn't matter.

What do you mean? I haven't experienced any major framerate tanks at the end of the game, even with smoke. Do you have a video or an example?

Pro tip. Let the non party leaders press start first and the party leader as last. Then it finds a extra player in no time.

That's good for those people. It's in the game now, and it matters to me. That's a weak deflection of my criticism.

I've found the exact opposite. The framerate is in the shitter at the start, when people are still in the air. Once everyone is on the ground it settles in to a playable fps, and seems to be more solidly 30 as the numbers get whittled down. Last 10 is tense, but not from any hitching or drops.

Finally got that first Solo Chicken Dinner. What a stress inducing rush that was. Was an awesome game regardless though got seven kills, ran someone over, blew someone up in a car got some headshots and got the final kill with a grenade with like 25% health left. A game hasn't given me that big of a rush in a long ass time.
