I take 5-10 minute breaks after longer matches b/c I just need to calm the fuck down lol.

I assume you got it running, then?

And how do you disable the HDR for this specifically? I can't find the setting anywhere and my screenshots aren't showing HDR under captures.

Yep. Thanks to the good people of ResetEra I managed to get it fixed.

HDR you can disable via the Xbox settings.

Got my first Chicken Dinner a couple hours ago in solo, what a rush! Don't remember being that pumped from a game experience in quite awhile!

Can I ask you guys, what do you guys do when playing? Do you guys move quickly and stealthily to the center, wait and pick people off, etc. I usually move quickly and quietly, and make it within top 20. But I don't see many people along the way. I usually end up killing 3-4 people - but there's a lot of times where I'm just waiting lol.

It really is something. I leaped in the air when I got mine.

I stay along the edge of the circle and maintain stealth.

Do you do that for all of the circles/decreases, or just the latter stages? I typically try and get to the center of the first big circle and then maintain stealth there, hopping to the edge of the last few.

That hype zone sounds very cool to me as a streamer, but Mixer doesn't have enough people to justify it :( can't leave YouTube or Twitch because of that

That hurts. At least it won't happen next time. That's what I keep telling myself lol

I wasn't planning to even get to the end, my plan was to land and go spicy, get a few kills and die early. However, I always flight instead of fight. I hid in an attic for 15 minutes.

Just as an advice, don't ever rush someone if playing alone unless its from behind and you know there is no one behind you, especially on third person mode. You were in a perfect position to shoot without exposing yourself. No biggie tho, thats how we learn :)

Also, get rid of the pistols as soon as you have two weapons, after the first circle they become irrelevant.

I really wish I had, but I kept it just in case 'what if?' I'm going to throw it away next time.

Not noticing much HDR in this... the Sky seems to be the only element working in regards to HDR.

Yeah it's definitely the skybox and that's about it. But some things like buildings and trees are too dark.

Do your screenshots show the HDR description/title when you capture them? B/c all I get in mine are 4K.

I should make some screenshots. Haven't done that yet.

I DO hope they will add squads for 5 people because me and my friends we're always at least with 5 people in MP games.

If you do, please let me know if it shows "HDR" under the capture menu like it does for other games.

Easy kills in the final circle is too tempting. I've finished #3 4 times now in 10-11 games. Had a sniper suit and an AWM. Picked one off who was just lying in the grass then another one behind a tree with his side to me. Couldn't help it and got picked off myself because of the noise lol

Haven't gotten my 1st chicken dinner yet

Did you mean last night? or that you finished last in both..I assume the first, because I can't see how much tension 2 100th place finishes would bring :)

My initial interpretation made me chuckle though. "Got killed twice before my chute even hit the ground, it was so tense!" lol

Ha just noticed. No I meant I played two matches last night. Damm keyboard :p

27th place in my first match 6th place in my second. God damm those frag grenades.

How can I find those screenshots exactly? Like any of my other captures?

It definitely is fun though, been playing mostly with my friends and I've made a few kills too. Aiming definitely is tricky at times though. Especially through sniper scope.

Just hit the X button thing and use the bumpers to navigate to recent captures in that pop up menu. You'll see a list of your most recent screenshots and whether they're 4K, HDR, both, etc.

Try to anticipate where people will be moving to. That anticipation is informed by the path of the plane, where the circle is, locations on the map outside the white circles (as in hotspots where people will be coming from), and locations inside the circle (as in a soon-to-be hotspot as people move in). By anticipating player movement, you can either position aggressively or position yourself defensively. Another tip is to seek out conflict. Jump into hotspots like military base or the school. Get used to fighting. Get used to the adrenaline of getting into firefights. If you hear gunfire from a heated exchange in the distance, seek it out. Chances are the winner of fight is hurt and distracted.

I'm not really into PUBG and all I know is it's coming to XBO and it could be a possible birthday present to my teenage brother. Is the game in a good enough state in your guys opinion? I heard there was some issues atm but not sure how severe. Thanks in advance for any reply.

For me there are issues at the start at the plane drop but everything feels smooth on my end. I recommend watching a bunch of streams and long gameplay videos if it something you would still be interested in despite its current flaws.

I'm on an OG Xbox and while the drop is chunky, the rest is just fine. The essence of what makes it great on PC is completely there.

Hm, I dunno about that. Anyone in here playing on the OG? Thoughts/impressions?

On the OG.

First of all - the obvious. Graphics aren't great. I knew that going in, I honestly don't mind. As long as draw distance is good and IQ is good, I'm happy.

The game is rough. Very rough around the edges. It's janky, controls are so-so, aiming isn't easy. If Call of Duty, Destiny, Titanfall are absolute joys to play control wise, PUBG isn't.

When the game starts off, you get annoying frame drops for the first minute (pre-game) and as you parachute down. After that its smooth 90% of the time. The game has texture pop-in and marshmallow buildings occasionally. It crashes every once in awhile.

With all that said, this game is fun. Seriously. The map is huge, encounters are fun and surprising, there are solo, duo, and squad plays. If the server crashes you can join back in right where you left off. Tons of different weapons, etc. Most combat encounters I've had run fairly smooth.

Do I recommend it? Depends on what type of gamer you are tbh. Some people will put it in and hate the performance. I personally don't mind as long as MS & the devs keep working on improving the performance. So yea, I'd say go for it.

Ok thanks for impressions guys, I'll try and weigh my options and see if I can find some clips too.

This is more detailed than I expected! Thanks a lot!

It would help if I held LB to breathe. Smh, there are a lot of things to learn with controls.
