Are we able to adjust HDR? For some reason, screenshots aren't showing as HDR. Any idea as to what that's about?

So that you get sick of it and just straight pay for it when it reaches 1.0 on console.
You can run forever, can only hold your breath underwater for so long. The map is huge, and without infinite sprint, the game would suffer.

Loving the game so far and so are my friends. We rarely have time to play games anymore due to adulthood and all that but we had our first late night game sessions in years and plan on doing it again tonight. Feels good man!

It has a lot of situations where it's 30 fps? I mean, we have people here that did three headshots in one match. How is that even possible with an unplayable game?

I'd been crawling and hiding for at least 10 minutes. I knew where most of the people were. However as soon as it went into the top 5 my heart raced and I was shaking. I had a scar with a 2x scope. I could have just picked him off.

Try to pick more rural areas to loot and stay clear of engagements for the first few circles....just can't find anything worth a shit at first lately. That's the randomness of it....

There's maps online that show the loot quality at various locations. Out of the way small places usually have worse gear than dropping somewhere crowded like the school or military base.
Ah, that bar if I picture what you are talking about correctly, shows your relative distance to the white circle (the 'end' of the bar) and the approaching blue death. Once your 'figure' is gray, you are safe (I think thats what you are describing).
Same boat with games / adulthood and friends, my group of 4 tries to play something coop like killing floor or fortnite BR once a week, basically to just chat and play poorly, basically a conference call with something to do while talking.
Just as an advice, don't ever rush someone if playing alone unless its from behind and you know there is no one behind you, especially on third person mode. You were in a perfect position to shoot without exposing yourself. No biggie tho, thats how we learn :)
Also, get rid of the pistols as soon as you have two weapons, after the first circle they become irrelevant.

Just had a really tense game where I found a guy prone in a house. I tried to toss a grenade in there and hit the door frame killing myself. Was final 6 people too.
Wins feel great on this but the losses hurt too. :-(

The HDR really makes it too dark in places where it should not be do dark. I might just disable HDR for this until they fix that.
I take 5-10 minute breaks after longer matches b/c I just need to calm the fuck down lol.

And how do you disable the HDR for this specifically? I can't find the setting anywhere and my screenshots aren't showing HDR under captures.
Just had a guy chase me for 30 seconds with a crowbar. There were fucking weapons on the floor where we both landed which I couldn't pick up due to this person swinging, yet they chased me and didn't stop. We both ended up getting killed by a passerbye that had loaded up.

OT - I'm having a pretty solid time with this game. I played some on PC but was total ass and my PC couldn't really keep up, so even with the performance issues this is better than my PC was able to do. Once the kinks get ironed out here I have a feeling it's going to be my go-to game for a long time.
No problem. Just temper your expectations for a fucking beta -- and I believe the devs are well aware of the jank and bugs that exist.
It's not like they've dropped this in game preview never to look at it again.

Any beginner advice for someone who's never played this before? Only used to games like Halo and Destiny 2.

Was in some rusted out dump truck dumpster thing, casing out a close neighborhood. Dude on motorcycle comes and of course, I fire a shot from my nigh depleted UMP. He sees and circles me for the better part of 2 minutes. Destroys my the tires on my buggy (which I stupidly parked in front of the dumpster/rust bucket) and chucks 1-2 smoke bombs so I can't see jack shit.
Well, after this showboating he must've gotten bored, as he decided to check out one of the houses figuring that I'm no threat to go anywhere sans buggy.
Anyway, if you're on here--sprint is a useful feature and so is a silenced pistol!
