You cant change the vegetation. The shadows and vegetation are locked on PC for everyone.
It's not just on the test server, you could do this for months on PC.
You're right, I just haven't played the live version in like a month thanks to the test server and finals haha
This may sound silly but for anyone who doesn't know, a short, single press of LT brings up ADS mode. I couldn't figure that out for 3 games. I kept on holding LT, you must single press.
Played about 5 rounds, got 3 kills. Feels good.
PUBG is everything I thought it would be and I'm so happy to see where this game goes in the next few months.

Are there squad servers up on Xbox? Part of me thinks it's not currently there simply because of performance reasons.
Seems like whenever something actually happens in-game, like encountering other players, looking through sights or driving a vehicle, the framerate seems to tank. If you're alone in a field somewhere it holds 30 fine.

Leaderboards. I mean ya that doesn't equal sold copies 1:1 but it should be fairly close
I have a friend (podcast co-host for anyone here who may remember us) who played a bunch of PUBG on his nice PC earlier this year and he says it runs pretty much the same on his Xbox One X. That's good enough for me, so I think I'm going to jump in.

Ok, thank you : ) I am not interested in this game at all, seems junky as F and not the mention multiplayer only and make some people say words beginning with N whilst playing it. So I am totally not interested. I just wanted to express my disinterested in game, since everybody seems to everybody seems to be playing it.

Played some duos last night and got into some hectic firefights with multiple other pairs with no framerate issues. Squads are there as well, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Native 4K is really impressive. If this game is running close to the max settings on PC, then it's nothing short of a miracle since only the 1080 Ti can run this at a stable 30fps at native 4K. I guess there's not much to do regarding the CPU except further optimisations.
Must have been an earlier version cause I watched some videos where PC people dropped setting/resolution which got rid of alot of vegetation.
Same here. I played into the wee hours, and only had the same issues (slow in lobby/plane). It's not rock solid on the ground but it's so fun that I don't notice much anymore, but maybe I'm used to it after 9 hours.
Seems like the initial jump and landing is the roughest part, the rest seems alright.
Don't bother. He's notorious for his "concern" for the Xbox.
Yeah, I'm really excited to see how this improves over the next few months. I think it's a great start and is objectively above what most (likely) expected.
Got to third place and I got trapped on a rock and the game wouldn't let me move, the killzone wiped me in seconds.

Yeah, it used to be like that, but they locked vegetation and shadows a while ago.
Welcome to PUBG! Seriously, there are a ton of bugs, even on the PC version, so if you get frustrated when you die due to shit like this, I would just wait a few months to let them iron the bugs out. Death by the (terrible) vehicle physics can be hilarious though.
What trouble? Playing the game or dealing with the bugs in the early access?

Its boring, until its not. lol, thats how I'll put it. And when its not boring, your heart rate is at like 140. I won once on PC, and I really thought I was going to stroke out in the process.

I have this on the 1X and let me tell you they did a great job. The game isn't a looker by any stretch but considering "good" not "great" PCs have an issue running this game at the higher settings color me impressed. I'm very happy so far.
Even in gameplay it drops to the low 20s, dropping as low as 18fps. It holds 30fps a lot of times, but there are too many dips into the low/mid 20s IMO.
I know PUBG isn't known for its visuals, but it also looks pretty rough. I've seen a lot of PC people say that it looks too dark too, but maybe that's the HDR?
