Still surprises me how such a difficult game got so much traction.
I remember last gen, everyone complaining about their fave shooters getting watered down and turned into short-attention span titles that tried to chase that COD train.
Just goes to show how a large number of fans really want to be challenged.
Here's the game at 720p:I am really not sure if this game is GPU bound, not CPU bound. There is no proof that this game would be running better at 720p...if it's CPU bound, which probably is.

Didn't someone say it is already at 200,000+ on Xbox this morning? It's going to pass 500,000 by the end of the weekend.
Well now I hope it happens >:)Please stop suggesting for MS to buy Bluehole. I will cry if it doesnt come to PS4.
I am quiet excited to see what happens though, you just know MS wants to buy it out. This is a game that's going to last as long as Counterstrike.
"arriving today as a console launch exclusive"
If I were MS, I'd bend over backwards to lock this up.
I think what you are seeing, is a game that appeals to the "older than COD Crowd" for lack of better words, but it also appeals to the COD crowd too.
I'm almost 40, and playing TDM shooters makes me want to vomit now (and I played COD pretty much from the jump, through BLOPS2), but PUBG, FNBR, just bring a tense tactical feeling to gaming, and I think it resonates across more demographics than "spawn run shoot kill die spawn run die spawn kill kill die" does. Every match is like a short story set after the apocalypse.
The likelihood is very slim. Please stop suggesting for MS to buy Bluehole. I will cry if it doesnt come to PS4.

its something u only understand once u play it. some matches leave ur nerves shot, hand shakes uncontrollably and need to take at least 2-3 mins rest when the round endsI watched some streams but it feels like most of the game is just walking around looking for equipment. I'm sure the fights are intense because if you lose you're out but maybe it's something I need to play to really understand.
Oh I completely agree, the more people that get to experience it the better. I hate the idea of moneyhatted exclusives, but I completely understand them from a business perspective.Makes perfect sense from a business perspective but even as an Xbox player without a PS4, I'm still not keen on MS or Sony paying cash to keep shit off other platforms. They should focus on making stuff themselves. Unless they're funding the game of course /OT.
That Mixer thing is fucking awesome though.
What's with the comments wanting Microsoft to buy up the game?
Then it wouldn't come out for the PS4 peeps.
:/
I think Bioshock's creator was also praising Siege a few days ago and saying it plays out like a single player game. Lots of tension, use of sound, strategy, etc.
And yes, PUBG's encounters feel very much like contained stories.
At this point, I just want more. I loved LOU's multiplayer for similar reasons, and the Ghost Wars in Wildlands is also very appreciated by fans.
The leaderboards are split my region and gametype.Didn't someone say it is already at 200,000+ on Xbox this morning? It's going to pass 500,000 by the end of the weekend.

Noti if its the same kind of deal they did with Minecraft where it launched on all systems. What's with the comments wanting Microsoft to buy up the game?

Got into a 5 squad wild west shootout yesterday with my boys and we all had Karak98s and it was fucking awesome even tho we lost half our squad.
Has anybody tried that with a Elite controller and paddles yet?

Yep, tell your teammates to gtfo your way if they have a habit of crossing your sights!
You get the full game when it releases. Can someone explain the game preview? Does this means when they release the actual game I will need to buy again or do I automatically get the full release?

Can someone who buys the game, before playing your first match, check the leaderboard and see where it says they are?
Once you buy it, it's yours. You won't have to rebuy it.Can someone explain the game preview? Does this means when they release the actual game I will need to buy again or do I automatically get the full release?
Is the Mixer Hypezone thing threadworthy? I think that's a pretty cool and new concept. Can't make the thread myself but think it should be called out!
I'm not very technically inclined, but the map is a massive 8x8 km (a lot is water, though the desert map has very little water) with lots of grass, trees, and a large view distance.Thank you for simple analysis, I though that this would be a problem, but what is so CPU intensive? I study software engineering, so I am not really sure....
Yeah sure, but once it's loaded, there is no reason to "look" that far, only thing that should matter to client is people in vicinity or those who can kill you or you can kill them.I'm not very technically inclined, but the map is a massive 8x8 km (a lot is water, though the desert map has very little water) with lots of grass, trees, and a large view distance.
Australian here! I regret buying it as it is absolutely unplayable, so buy at your own risk. The network lag is atrocious, the framerate stutters and it looks like a ps2 game at best on an XboxOne S. When you enter a house, it takes around 10 seconds for the furniture to load. The only two servers available is Europe and North America. Australians get shafted again. I'm so disappointed because I've been waiting to play this for months now. :(
I wonder how long it'll take them to match up the Xbox version with the PC version in terms of features and update cadence?
It sounds like the second map should be hitting the Xbox version in spring.
Can someone explain the game preview? Does this means when they release the actual game I will need to buy again or do I automatically get the full release?
Yeah, like I said I got no clue. I just know CPU usage remains pretty high at all times. Someone else can explain all these things much better than I!Yeah sure, but once it's loaded, there is no reason to "look" that far, only thing that should matter to client is people in vicinity or those who can kill you or you can kill them.

Getting a squad game with 3 people is nearly impossible. Myself and 2 friends have been trying for about an hour. There should be an option to make a 3 man team
This option is already on the PC 1.0 test server and I imagine coming to XBOX soon.Getting a squad game with 3 people is nearly impossible. Myself and 2 friends have been trying for about an hour. There should be an option to make a 3 man team.
I now understand why 3 people were teaming in solo earlier.
I am waiting for answer as well. What kind of engine does it use by the way? Is there there any splash screen which lets it out?Yeah, like I said I got no clue. I just know CPU usage remains pretty high at all times. Someone else can explain all these things much better than I!
