Yep, had a flight back from Spain to Stansted last night and thanking my stars it wasn't cancelled. It was RyanAir too so I would've really been screwed money wise if it had been cancelled.

I moved yesterday. The snow came right when we started loading the truck. Our way through the City was an adventure. Streets were slippery, saw 4 accidents.

The Autobahn was even worse. Drove 30-40km/h. Arrived in one piece, but it was quite thrilling as our wheels couldnt get any grip when standing..

Yeah lots of snow here in the Netherlands like you said. I live in the middle of 'code red'. Doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.

Luckily I work at home today!

Lol. What's tiny for you completely disrupts Belgian society. 1300 km of traffic jams. My evening class got cancelled. ...

Still snowing here btw, not gonna let up for the remainder of the day it seems.

Haha, that's adorable. We're used to the worst case scenarios here. It tends to go like this: First it snows for maybe a day or two, then when we have a bit of snow the temperatures rise, and we have rain, then it gets cold again and what you're left with is ice. Ice everywhere. Then the winds set in just to polish that ice. I count myself extremely lucky that I've never broken a single bone.

Haven't seen anything yet in Copenhagen :(
Speaking of which. After visiting Copenhagen in October, hearing that over 50% of the Copenhageners "commute" to work via bike - what do you do when there's blizzard-like snowfall?
Given that the completion date of Copenhagen's subway is apparently a meme by now. What happens if everyone shifts to public transport at the very same day?!

Decided to give the birds a little bit extra today with the bad weather and all. They seem to appreciate it. :)

More of a wet snow in south England. As a Canadian, sitting in a cafe and watching it is good fun, and Christmassy :D

It's very simple - we bike through the snow.

No but usually the city is really good at salting and cleaning the bikelanes so it's not too much of a bother getting to work.

Haven't had big issues with it for the past couple of years biking here.

Goddamn, Belgium was not prepared for this amount of snow.
RcKP2Vv.jpg

Pic taken during my break. There's at least 15 centimeters of snow here right now. Roads have been salted but they just keep snowing right over. They're closing off tunnels and bridges. I get off work in an hour, I hope I can still make it home.

8°C and light rain in Karlsruhe right now. Thank god. I like snow, but not when I have to drive to work.

Are we ever prepared? Every time it snows we have the same issues. This time it's pretty bad though, as I can't remember snow falling so thick in years. The problem apparently is that snow washes away the road salt, so it doesn't really help.

Luckily they allowed me to leave work early so I got home on time.

Biking home from the station through a snowstorm was fun. Had to find the tracks previous people made to bike in. Had to walk some stretches. None of the bike patches were cleaned so it was biking through 10-15cm of snow. Fun.

Pretty bad here in Belgium, as stated above. Work starts at 9 pm, usually it's a 10 minute bike ride for me, but no way I'm going to risk breaking my neck. I'll walk it. Wish me luck, ERA.

My work is 5-6 km from my home, normally a 10 minute drive. Took me more than an hour today to get home. Godspeed to anyone working in Brussels or another major city

Just built a snowman at a crossroad close to my house, just to cheer traffic up (the whole city is jammed as fuck). Helped a car getting on a bridge after after two green lights he still didn't manage to get on a small incline. Now I know you need to stay as clear as possible from the wheels when doing that. My pants are soaked!

My wife was luckily able to depart at 3.30 pm, and was home by 4.30. Just before traffic got totally clogged up.

Days like these make me happy I don't own a car or have to use a car to move around.

Well with proper winter tires it's not that bad driving even with plenty of snow (as a finn I get plenty of experience every winter lol). Of course if it snows for like two days a year maybe buying winter tires is little bit of waste of money lol. Well at least you could drive like a boss for couple of days and laugh at people slipping on the roads.

Awful amount of snow in the Midlands, UK.
I was doing some overtime on-sight on Sunday and had to leave come 10 o'clock out of fear my car would he buried.

Luckily for me the 335d is the garage having some work done and they've loaned me a front wheel drive Audi or I'd probably have not bothered with work

Finally some snow in southern Finland, it's quite dark without it.
It looks awesome. Can't wait to go home and take some photos. Too bad its already dark or I would go out. Tho I guess some areas are hazardous now?
Fire department closed some street because of dangerous trees, lots of HUGE branches on cars & streets. They said: keep your children inside today

Weather patterns are really weird this fall. We haven't had any snow on the ground in St. John's , Newfoundland... and really we should have seen a bit by now. It was 20c on the weekend and the previous record high for that day was 12.8c.

That was a delightful 24 hours. It looked beautiful, I love snow.

It's amazing to see the entire country descend into chaos and madness when a little snow falls.

It snowed for hours in Bristol yesterday.....but had been raining loads beforehand so it hardly stuck. A very slushy scattering perhaps, mostly all gone in a few hours. Barely enough to make a snowball with, much to my kids dismay.

Haven't had a decent fall of snow here since late 2012. Shame.

This getting bumped was confusing the hell out of me. Made me almost rethink how the seasons work.
