Have yet to get a kill, game is intense though, been running around with some randoms from the matchmaking and we just died trying to outswim the blue wall and bullets under water.

That's the same issue I have and no way around it other than paying the 3000. Only difference was my game crashed on the character creation screen and when I loaded it back up I was stuck with the default guy too.
I thought it was only me but yeah especially vehicles I'm always looking the wrong direction and trying to find out where people are running and where the bullets from have been a chore. This has been with a surround sound setup here, will have to try with a headset later and see if it makes any difference.
For those that are playing, how are the controls? I understand that there is little to no aim assist but how intuitive is the button layout?
Also in the 1X enhanced thread, Liabe also counted 4K. Impressive if they got that resolution day one without any reconstruction technique.

This game had taught me how much I've adapted to having aim assist over the years. I literally feel like the worst shot on the face of the earth without it, and I didn't think it would make a big difference. How wrong was I. I'm trying to decide if I just need to turn all of my aiming sensitivities way down and slowly work into a comfort zone.
Anyone from Australia played this yet? If so, is it playable? I've been waiting so long to play this and just found out there's no Oceania server. Such a disappointment.

Just continue playing. This game is going to take many, many matches before you start getting into a good rhythm.
It's eh. Not wicked smooth but it gets the job done, I wouldn't be surprised if we see some tweaks in the coming weeks. You have to adjust, it takes a few matches before it really becomes muscle memory and even then it can be a bit slow especially when you're in the menus. Played 8 - 10 matches and I'm finally getting the hang of it.

So is there a consensus on how this runs on an Xbox One S? Significantly better on an X?
I'm pretty sure the only difference is HDR on the X. It isn't an X enhanced game yet.
I am doubtful on that. GTX 1080 which is much more powerful can't hit a stable fps at 4k.
Saw some 4K screens floating around. My X is hooked up to my 1080p TV right now but I'm going to move it to the living room in the morning and see how it holds up on the 4K TV. The textures are sorta muddy right now.
I have it on a Sony X900e 65inch 4k tv. It doesn't look great.
It has moments, but it's kinda blurry at times.

Yeah I don't plan on giving up any time soon. I plan on adjisting the sensitivity settings because I seem to be really jerky with my aiming so far. I'm thinking leave my general sensitivity at default but crank the scope sensitivities way down. This way I can react from the hip quickly and hopefully stay on target once I ADS.
I haven't had a multiplayer shooter that peaked my interest in years

Does not look good on my day one edition xbox one. Draw Distance is poor players look like matchsticks slightly off in the distance.Frame rate felt solid. Sometimes i lose track where i am on the map the tracker:marker locater is not the best.
I figured this would be the case. Thanks for the response. Like you said, I'm sure it'll be tweaked plenty of times before release.
It's definitely running at a higher resolution too. Need more captures to determine if it's native 4K, using a reconstruction technique, or dynamic resolution. The one two screens I looked at were native 4K though.
Maybe not at max settings but Xbox version isn't running at max settings. Also like I said above, we don't know if they are using any performance saving techniques. We'll need more captures, especially captures in more action packed scenes to determine more about the renderer.

Nope this is the only Game Preview game I can see without a trial, when they announced Game Preview way back it was one of the touted features of the program. As these games aren't finished the whole point of Game Preview is you could try it to see if you wanted to support the game in progress. The way it is now it's basically a normal game.
On top of this what really gets me is this is most likely done to increase sales which is not fair at all to all the developers that have had to allow trials to their games. Microsoft shouldn't be able to bend the rules for their own titles. Hopefully it's just a matter of the trial not being here now but will be available in the next couple days but I feel that's still just as dodgy.
What there's no Oceanic servers? What the hell, if I had bought the game I would be pissed. THIS is why Game Preview games are supposed to have a trial. Extremely dissapointed with Microsoft right now.
The PC version still doesn't have OCE FPP Solo servers due to "lack of players in the region" (bullshit), so don't expect it anytime soon.
Its not a regular game. Preview games dont have a preload since its not a finished product. Its either out or its not out.
Go into your inventory and select a bandage, first aid kit or painkillers. (There might be a faster way to do it, I need to look at the control scheme again).
Edit: for quick use, press down on the Dpad when outside of a menu to change your consumable. HOLD down on the Dpad to use your selected consumable.
First aid kits heal, pain killers and energy drinks offer a temp boost.
Game is 2160p on the X. Some people has said that it has better settings than the S as well, but I'm not 100% sure, unlike the 4K res which I am.
