I wonder if there's any chance of the extra characters in Alpha 3 that appeared in (I think) the Game Boy Advance and/or PSP versions making an appearance in the version of Alpha 3 that's in this collection...

In either case, great deal. Easily worth $40.

I wonder if this does well, if they would re-release all the Marvel games in a similar package.

That would be something.

I'm glad that everybody will be able to finally play the superior version of Street Fighter 3 on all platforms now

That's right.

There definitely needs to be a discount for SF2 Switch owners. Half off would be nice considering how bad this release makes it look.

I wasn't interested in SF2's release at all for $40, but this is day one for me.

Shit...may have to double dip with the Switch version and PS4 version.

And for me Ultra Street Fighter II is the definitive version of 2. I have no interest playing the other versions of 2 except for probably on PS4. So I'm getting this collection mainly for the Alpha and 3 versions.

Great news, I'm excited!

That's cool, i hope Street Fighter Zero 3 comes with the Sega Saturn RBG mode and all the extras from this version.
But no Street Fighter Zero 2 dash aka the best of the zero/alpha serie? I still have my Saturn version but i just feel bad for people not to experimentation this special edition.
Will we get the audio from the 3do version this time?

No word on the anime movie? On the joke side, the 2 versions from the movie would have been really cool... i had good times with the saturn version. It's SSF2TX with some bonus, new characters, a strange animation sometimes and.... that art and graphics! ;-)

None of the versions from Arika are to be included? To be honest... i'm still very hype about it. Well done Capcom.

Capcom didn't give Second Impact online because they didn't want people to be woke at Sean being a legit great character once.

If this is Digital Extremes then it's probably (probably) a fork of the MAME drivers for these games as per Frank Cifaldi's philosophy of using commercially available open source emulation software.

Last time I checked, the CPS2 driver for MAME had timing and speed issues and the CPS3 driver at minimum causes graphical distortions with the thunder effects on the SFIII: NG character select. The acid test is if those drivers have been fixed for this release or not. All of these games will almost certainly and probably unavoidably run slightly faster than arcade due to the arcade hardware refresh rate being less than 60hz.

Might be worth keeping an eye on MAMEdev for any improvements to these drivers, I'm not certain if the licence for MAME requires them to share fixes like that or not.

Bronson only likes Sean because he's finally able to play as someone the same height he is

Bronson Missouri could never hack it in 3rd Strike, that's why he's never been able to defeat me

It might use MAME? Interesting. Do you have any more information on how Digital Extremes handles these kind of ports now, and how they may differ from the old Backbone stuff?

Also I bet they did this so they can expand Capcom Cup to these legacy games as well, I saw at Red Bull they had to use arcade cabs for the Turbo tourney
