Iron Galaxy made the god awful Arkham Knight PC port. I'd rather have anyone but them.

I guess I'll have to try out the Mega Man Legacy Collections to see how good DE's latest ports are (or not).

Iron Galaxy did the recent switch port of Skyrim, which seems to have been received pretty well, so their track record is not entirely bad.

MMLC had some issues (particularly on PC) so I'm hoping that DE have more of a handle on this.

Wasn't there a SF that never had a home port? Why not add that too?

Yeah, I've gone from super excited, to nervous.

If I understood their history, they're pretty much just a reformed Backbone, who did some poor ports.
The thing I hated about Backbone's SFRemix and MvC2 ports was how their button config pretty much only considered stick users, and it was lacking so many button mappings for pads, some that were in the old ports. Their MvC2 port was less configurable in terms of multiple P/K button mapping than the Dreamcast version, which had less physical buttons. It was crazy.

I wonder why Capcom isn't using IG anymore.

My thoughts exactly. Plus the bad glitches and lag found in their games. Maybe they have gotten better. I hear the Disney Afternoon Collection was pretty good without any glitches.

God capcom really giving me a lot of stuff to play! These collections will keep me occupied for a long time! If only that DMC collection could be on the switch too...but I'm happy as it is, keep it up capcom!
By the way, this contains that Street Fighter II remake that was made for the switch right? (I mean not exactly the remake, but the game) If so, god I'm happy i waited.

God I own Street Fighter in various forms so many times.

Street Fighter Champion Edition on Megadrive (sold recently)
Street Fighter 2 World Warrior SNES (sold recently)
Super Street Fighter 2 Megadrive (sold recently)
Street Fighter Alpha Saturn
Street Fighter Alpha 2 Saturn
Street Fighter Collection PSOne
Street Fighter 3 Xbox 360
Ultra Street Fighter IV Xbox 360
Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix Xbox 360
Street Fighter V PS4

I really don't want to deal with trophies/achievements so I think Switch. But it would be so nice to have everything on one console.

If the original Street Fighter is in there, just for the sake of curiosity, I really hope Street Fighter: The Movie is an unlockable. I'd play it once.

I've been with this franchise since day fucking 1. So many quarters spent at the arcade, so many excellent moments. A collection of games like this is just what the doctor ordered for Capcom. Keep it up Capcom.. keep it up.

Portable 3s would be so dope if Switch had a left joycon with a dpad.

Think this is a Steam buy in that case. Wonder how it'll be online compared to Online Edition. The netcode in that was pretty funky at times.

Capcom should issue a discount if buying from the Eshop to all those poor suckers who bought SF2.

Or not, they probably deserved to get robbed for being suckers in the first place.

Holy shit, that is a crazy collection and a good value to boot. I do kind of wish they would have thrown SFIV in there in some form just for the sake of pure completion, but not looking a gift horse in the mouth

Or you can thank them for letting Capcom know there's a market for fighting games on switch. :)

Yes! Yes! Yeahhhhhhh! This is the collection I've been wanting. Grabbing this digitally and physically for PS4. If I get a switch for Xmas, then I'll grab one for it too. You doing good Capcom. Give us some Darkstalkers/Vampires also.

Arkham Knight, a massive 3D hardware-pushing open world game is a completely different beast than emulated ports of old 2D CPS1/2/3 games.
Iron Galaxy did SF3 Online & Marvel Orgins, as well as season 2 and 3 of KI.
No way I would want some evolution of Backbone studios to do this over IG. You shouldn't either.

Obviously, I hope they prove my skepticism wrong.

Digital Eclipse/Backbone have a worse track record on ports than IG

both IG and Digital Eclipse recently put out stellar ports for current gen titles

So wait are you talking about

So does this include the version of street fighter 2 that capcom released on Switch this year for $40?

They were so close to making the perfect collection, SO.CLOSE.

But no Puzzle Fighter or Pocket Fighter :(

Also really hoping they use the console version of Alpha 3 or even better, the Max version with all the characters. Nonetheless this is amazing and I wish I didn't have to wait until May to have it.

I am freaking out.

Week in, week out. I try to build a Super Turbo scene at my locals. I am trying REALLY hard to build up a local ST scene. I'm starting to prepare to TO weekly tournaments for the game.

In order to play it we have to replay on Dreamcast version via the Toodles disc. It's arcade perfect. We have two dreamcast sticks so we can play. But it makes managing things hard because it's so expensive to do (buying TWO DC sticks) that we only have one station. And since we only have one station if the guy who has the cast can't make it we don't have our ST local. It's either that, buy an ST cab, or a Supergun. All are expensive options. The dreamcast option is the least expensive one.

This makes things so much easier for me. I'm considering starting an Alpha 2/3 local scene because of this collection too.

I am really on the verge of tears of happiness now because I've worked SO HARD to make that game have a foothold in the local fg community and this will make it sooooo much easier to have multiple stations and people can use whatever stick they want and now we can have regular tourneys without relying on someone else showing up.

I'm really, REALLY happy right now!!

I have faith in Digital Eclipse for this port. I've heard their recent ports have been pretty good and everything I saw in that trailer looked amazing so I'm feeling good.

Nope but it does have 2 Hyper Fighting and 2 Turbo with online which is the key selling point of USF2. Ultra has Violent Ken and Evil Ryu exclusive to it, a throw away minigame and balance updates.

Puzzle Fighter and Pocket Fighter are not Street Fighter games. This is a Street Fighter anniversary collection.

Damn!!! Capcom actually put all the games in one collection. Did I warp into some sort of bizarro dimension. I can't believe this and Devil May Cry are headed to PC.

God damnit I'm excited for 2nd Impact. I love that game. Wish online was for that as well and not just 3rd Strike, but shit, I can't complain.

What random exciting news for a Sunday, haha.
