Sounds like a pretty solid collection. Wonder if there is any possibility this could sell better than SFV.

Think it's a bit of a shame this wasn't revealed at TGA. Could had been a megaton event for the conference IMO.
Announcing it at the Capcom Cup in a room full of Street Fighter fans is more megaton imo.

This thing is probably gonna sell gangbusters on Switch if the USFII performance is of any indication.

I still can't believe that game sold well.

I honestly would have bought Street Fighter 3 on its own. This collection has so much value, it's unreal!

Great collection and value. I don't care if there are arcade versions. Still a great deal.

This is something I always thought Capcom should do on Steam; release arcade perfect ports of their games with some good netcode. They could be considered definitive ports if they're done right. Those extra features like sprite galleries look really awesome too. Maybe Vs series could be next if this turns out well.

Hey, without those that bought USF2, we might not have this on Switch.
Thanks to them.

Capcom you've been nailing it with the announcements lately.

Now lets finish it up with some Breath of Fire love!

Great news but I will wait until we know what the performance is like before getting too excited. Is this being done in-house or are another company handling it?

I must admit, Digital Eclipse being involved is a let down. Should have gone with M2 or Iron Galaxy. :(

Yeah, I've gone from super excited, to nervous.

If I understood their history, they're pretty much just a reformed Backbone, who did some poor ports.
The thing I hated about Backbone's SFRemix and MvC2 ports was how their button config pretty much only considered stick users, and it was lacking so many button mappings for pads, some that were in the old ports. Their MvC2 port was less configurable in terms of multiple P/K button mapping than the Dreamcast version, which had less physical buttons. It was crazy.

I wonder why Capcom isn't using IG anymore.

Yes please. Next year needs to be the year of every major Capcom series from the past getting remasters and collections. Breath of Fire, Power Stone, Viewtiful Joe, Rival Schools, Capcom VS SNK. I want them all.

Not to poop in anyone party, but isn't aways like that? They make annoucment that gets everyone excited, but when the games actually come out, the problems comes to surface?

To their credit their remasters and rereleases have been pretty good this gen. There have been some dumb snags dragging them down though like the lack of Switch ports and Dragon's Dogma still being 30fps, but if all goes well there doesn't seem to be too much of a catch with the three newly-announced ones (SF, DMC, MMX).

Awesome news! I'm expecting to pay $79.99 Cdn for this ($60 US), so if the actual price turns out to be less than full price, that would be the cherry on top of an already perfect sundae.

Cool. Anyway, not sure why all this Switch angst is rearing it's ugly head again. Let's all be happy that this is releasing on all platforms.
As a Capcom criticiser regarding the NSW support, I'm happy about this and Megaman.

I don't hate Capcom, I bought REv2 because I said I would once a good handheld version was released. I also own and finished the game on PC. I only regret pre-ordering SFV from them because it was aimed to FGC and not casual SF fans like myself. RE7 was boss!

Yep, fuck, instabought. Holy shit.

My only issue, I guess, is no online Alpha 2 support, because it's such a different beast to Alpha 3. But otherwise, yeah, alright.

Iron Galaxy made the god awful Arkham Knight PC port. I'd rather have anyone but them.

I guess I'll have to try out the Mega Man Legacy Collections to see how good DE's latest ports are (or not).

THIS is the SF game I've been waiting for. The Switch is already the GOAT portable/tabletop arcade machine!

The super rare and impossible to emulate right New Generation and Double Impact/Giant Attack have amazing, SNK tier aesthetics as well as endings that directly preceed Third Impact. If you like 90s fighting games for as much as how they sound and look as much as they play this is a huge win.

I've wanted this for years and I'm super super excited. Even if it doesn't have Zero 2 Alpha and Hyper SF II it's easy to play those on PS2 with a modern stick thanks to the Brook Converter now.

If they have a reliable way to port or emulate CPS2 and CPS3 now it would be so beautiful to get collections of rarities like Warzard or Darkstalkers - I dunno if they could make that work financially but it's important to preserve those games on modern consoles.

Everyone who bought Ultra Street Fighter II should have their name in the Switch version's credits.

YESSSSS

What an amazing value. Having an actual, proper ST port with online play in the same package as 3S is sickkkkk. This is an incredible announcement. Will be getting for PS4 and Switch.

Awesome~~ Buying digital for Steam and Switch. Probably also pick up a physical for PS4 cuz why not?

Only thing I wish they did was to add sf4. Usf4 on switch would have been really nice.

Edit: this reminds me... can't third party make their own joycons? It would be awesome if Nintendo would allow hori to make a fightpad joycon set.

Even though I have the LE BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Fightstick Tournament for the PlayStation, I'm picking this up for the Switch for the portability.
