Honestly you should really get the Ps4 version, the added stuff is pretty significant.
You can turn off the voices.
Though I can also understand wanting a dub to accompany it, too.
Backlog bruh.... I just bought Star Ocean 4 HD and .hack, plus I still have to finish Nier Auto, Witcher 3, etc, etc....

It probably messes with progression and balance a bit as you have all combat/customization features available right from the start as opposed to continuously unlocking something new every now and then.
Couldn't say how big of a deal that is though.
Do they allow for save transfers? I;m sure they do but..... No, my console/TV time is just way too limited.
We're planning on implementation of the original Japanese version (text/graphics/movies/etc) early next year (possibly beginning of Jan).

Any plans on adding high refresh rate support to the Steam version?
It's a Japanese game, so I realize it might be difficult, but given ToCS seems to use the same engine and Durante managed to add unlocked framerate to PC port, it's not in the realms of impossible.

For what it's worth I ordered from them earlier and they processed the order within a few hours and sent me a tracking number. Everything seems fine.
Even if you select nothing you skill have all the combat stuff available from the get go
Flying/Power Skill, X-Drive, X-Strike, EX Skill as well as the ability to switch master cores.
And that'll be a purchase from me when it hits GOG! Great news!

Since I'm currently sick, I decided to grab the game regardless of how poor my finances currently are. I enjoyed the japanese demo quite a bit but playing it in a language I actually understand is neat.

Correct, and even doing some little events can add new dialogue to an entire map zone.
Are there any plans to release the game on platforms other than Steam and GOG (Humble, GMG, Gamesplanet, etc)? I have some credit on a couple of those that I'd like to use.

Do you have any information about the situation in Europe? Is the PS4 version of the game exclusive to bazaar-bazaar or will it be sold at other retailers?

I prefer action RPGs to turn based stories. Pauses Trails of Cold Steel a bit since the beginning of the game seemed to drag and everything was too similar (going out on study research all the time, checking out the school over and over again). Is this game more varied?

Just to note, the graphic does show the US cover, but that's a hiccup in their system they're currently resolving.

More like Trails x Ys x Zwei if we want to be entirely accurate. The dungeons with their gates and the lottery thingy at the end are very Zwei-like.
or since you have 3 characters in your dungeon parties maybe we should say Trails x Drei : P

It's the old DLC from the Vita version so maybe!

The framerate and frametimes are stable. There was a little bit of microstutter when I used borderless mode, so I switched to Fullscreen to alleviate it. The graphics settings was super barebones, with only resolutions, display mode and brightness, but AA seems competent, although it does still produces a little shimmering. I used downsampling from 2160p to 1440p via DSR to fix this.
I have yet to try SGSSAA, and SLI works with Dishonoured 2 compatiblity bits + AFR, although this introduces microstutters. More research is needed on this issue.
So, how is the translation? I won't expect it to be as good as XSEED but if they're not at least doing a dub, they have to bring at least something of worth to the table. I got my copy in the mail today, gonna wait until I get as much out of Xenoblade 2 as I can.
We're still trying to get more information from the distributor but as of right now the only two links are from bazaar-bazaar and Amazon UK unfortunately >.<
Yup! That's the DLC stuff from the VITA version and will be free for two weeks from launch and then will disappear and possibly reappear for special occasions ;)

Two hours in and I am liking the translation so far. But my opinion must be taken with a grain of salt, as I was one of the few who also liked Persona 5's translation effort this year.
What's the situation of DLC outfits on the Steam release, I see some of them in a bundle that i think were from the ps4 version, any way to get the vita ones?
I think even the original Japanese release had some fuckery over this so i really wanna know what I can get and how
The DLC packs on Steam mirror those individual ones from PS4 PSN, just bundled together for a reduced price.
Any VITA specific (Complete DLC Collection) as well as any free DLC are all already available in the Steam ver from the get go :)
