For those who have the second dlc, can you find the journal at Deya Village Ruins? I've combed the place for 30 mins and can't find anything!
I'm guessing you found it by now, but
It's south west of the Dueling Peaks tower.
Thanks! I knew where the village was but I couldn't find the journal in the village. I eventually just turned the quest marker on and got it.
Can someone explain memories to me? Just background for story? How exactly do you activate?
Did they patch BotW Performance issues? It still waits to be started after I finish AC:O. I've grabbed the Season Pass for 10€.

Is this on sale somewhere in EU? Tempted to start again from beginning with hard mode.
Freed my 3rd Divine Beast, this time at Rito Village. There was barely any story in this area. It took me nearly as long to get there as it did to start the quest chain and do the dungeon.
I have no idea how to do the shrine there though. It's basically the first shrine I've been stuck on (I didn't do one that was a major test of strength because I didn't have good weapons then).
So the only one you have left is the Gerudo, right? You should like it more then as it features pretty much the only meaty questline in the game.
It's actually pretty easy once you figure out what you have to do. The 'figuring it out' part took me a good 20 minutes though, hahaha.
At first I though I needed to exit the shrine and look at the sky, count the stars or something. Eventually I noticed that the constellations that the inscription was talking about are obiously the orange dots on the walls. Each column has such constellation assigned to it. What you need to do is count how many times said constellation appears on the wall right in front of you when you first enter the shrine. They might be angled differently on that wall, but they're still the same thing. So if, say, first from the left constellation appears on that wall 5 times - then you drop the ball in the fifth row of that column.
While the rito village is nice, the questline to access the beast seems like an afterthought compared to the other 3..
The land you have to cross to get there is impractical and hostile but that's about the only difficulty
Good. The Rito quest line was really underwhelming. The archery game and getting onto the Divine Beast were really short and easy.
Can anyone recommend me a direction? To go? One that can result in a cool journey.
I thought the full Gerudo set was supposed to be enough to be heat-resistant in the desert, but I actually need something more (like ice weapon or food)?
Ah, I thought they both offered the same amount of protection. Thank you.It gives you a level 1 heat resistance only. There is another armor that can be purchased in Gerudo town or another place [don't want to spoil it] that gives you complete heat resistance. It's called Desert Voe armor.
This place is hotter than being inside a volcano? I don't believe it. But looks like it's time to farm rupees again, now.
Edit: thought you meant Goron set.
I didn't know you could sneak on the hinox to get his ball (you can, right ?)
Yeah same, my first playthrough I basically beelined kakariko > hateno > did the medium test of strength on the big cliff, then flew to the major test of strength on the small island (what a pain it was..), then rafted to eventide island, shit was tough on like 5 hearts :p
I also felt like I had to consult the internet more in this game than previous Zelda's because some stuff that I thought would be in the game just aren't (recipes being the biggest offender).
Also, the game just kind of abruptly ended for me, sadly. I thought there was going to be a final dungeon, so I went and got into the castle and the boss fight immediately started, so I just ended up finishing the game thirty minutes later. I was trying to set myself up to have a good starting point for an upcoming trip, but since there was no final dungeon (and getting to the boss took about ten minutes at the top of the castle) I was disappointed.
Nope. I thought I had to enter the castle through the top and then, I dunno, work my way down inside it or something. I didn't think that the top would be it. I guess in hindsight it makes sense to make the top the end, but since it was really easy for me to get to, I didn't think that would be it.Did you ever... actually explore the castle? It's definitely the final dungeon, it just lets you use tools and tricks to bypass a lot of its twists and turns and get through it whatever way you want to.

I'm also going to keep playing it and will explore the castle and more of the world/shrines.
