Crazy Ex Girlfriend

Fridays at 8/7c on CW

Why doesn't Josh love me anymore?

Rebecca was just a girl in love. She couldn't be held responsible for her actions. (She's an ingenue)

Josh ran away when he realized how crazy Rebecca was being, but he eventually came to his senses and ran to propose to Rebecca.

But Josh got cold feet, leaving Rebecca at the altar. Why would Josh do that to her?!

It seems Josh has found God, and only God can help him now that Rebecca has truly become the crazy ex girlfriend (it's a bit more nuanced than that.)

Josh totally loves the musical numbers!

While the over the top, yet somehow completely realistic and understandable, characters are what help make the show so great, the original music numbers are what help set it apart.

Rachel Bloom's YouTube page, complete with explicit versions of the show's songs, as well as some other non show related stuff, such as "Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury."

Will Josh be saved by Rebecca's friends talking some sense into her?

Only time will tell. The only way to find out is to join us Friday nights at 8/7c. Join us. We are good people, yes it's true.

Also, in here, we have friends, we definitely have friends.

Will Josh be fine that this OT isn't as detailed as the last one?

What will Josh think about posting spoilers?

Once an episode has aired on the US East Coast, spoilers should be in the open. Until an episode has aired, it is best to have spoiler discussions tagged for those that are sensitive. Information shown in previews and or interviews should also be considered spoilers.
If you are merely posting speculation, that does not to be spoiled unless it is speculating based on previews or articles about material that has not aired yet.

I missed watching Josh when he aired, what do I do?

Good news is that the first two seasons are available on US Netflix, and the current season should go up one week after the finale airs.
Don't want to wait to watch it? New episodes go online on the CW site or app the day after they air. The app keeps the last 5 episodes up to watch, absolutely FREE.

I've only seen episode 1.

The Let's Have Intercourse melody playing is a nice touch at some parts.

Let's Generalize About Men got me cracking up, especially the last bit with Paula's sons. lol

The songs in episode 2 though...
While the song by Tim was hilarious and amazing, the final song by Rebecca worked so well because of the reprise and how important it all was as she sang it.

The song blitz in the last episode was amazing, capped off with that fiery final song. I can't wait until the next one.

I agree with this show being the best on TV right now, all of the songs have been great for S3 too!

I'm dying to see where this ends up. If it's
prison
like that one member theorized...wow.

I really hope they do this so we get musical
prison
shenanigans.
It could very well happen with the trajectory of the last episode...

Just got caught up with this season over the weekend. So far, I'm vastly enjoying it over season 2.

The last episode was funnier than all of Season 2's episodes. Not combined-- individually.

Ahhh, I'm so glad this thread made the jump over!

I'll have to watch the next episode late, flying to the US

The ending to the last episode...just...DAMN.

She has fucked up before, but this feels like the most monumental of all.
I feel like she's done this before, admitted everything to Josh but he's too oblivious to realize what she's saying. I mean, his whole takeaway from that was that he shouldn't feel guilty because nothing was his fault.

I doubt it'll end up with
prison, maybe a psych ward or something like that.

Am I weird for wishing TV OTs were in the main EtcetERA forum? I've discovered shows because certain OTs would float to the top of Off-Topic regularly. And Crazy Ex NEEDS so many more people to discover its brilliance.

Also, hi, I'm super into this show. :)

We could totally have this moved to the main off topic area if somebody sends a message to a staff member. :)

Not crazy about the new theme song yet, but I said that last season and it totally grew on me.

And did White Josh's arms get way bigger, or is that just me?

OT has been moved to Etcetera for a short period of time to attract new viewers. The OP has also been updated to reflect spoiler policy and discussion.

Thank you, Kswiston.

The most recent episode was such a master stroke. Hoping the next episode doesn't walk back from that insane ending :-0

Man I love seeing all my favorite GAF threads pop up over at ERA. Loving it. Thank you all!

This most recent episode of Crazy Ex Girlfriend was probably one of the best ever. So many incredible musical numbers!

OMG that Heather song. Cemented her place as my continued favorite.

(CAUSE I AM THE MOMENT. THE MOMENT IS ME.)

I just watched the newest episode, young Rebecca returning was a treat. Still wish we'd see more stuff with Heather.
This episode was really hard to watch tho, with all the lies and deception spiraling out of control.

It's all out in the open now, but I'm gonna speculate that Paula is gonna side with Rebecca and go after Josh for having sealed records. Especially after the end of last season where she was all "Yeah all those dudes are trash," so surely she's gonna be able to see that the professor screwing a student isn't really the student's fault.

I am interested in seeing how Valencia reacts though, since she was 100% correct from the beginning.

I was gonna say the songs weren't that strong this episode (although the last two episodes would be hard to follow in that regard) but I should probably listen to the explicit version of the zoo song.

Outside of the songs, it was probably the best episode of the season so far. Was pissed when it ended.

Young Anxiety Rebecca was amazing, I bet her actress would've had fun with this episode.

Everything is snowballing so quickly, this is not going to end well for Rebecca at all.
