Most Berserk villains outside of Griffith and Rosine are pretty lame.
I disagree!

i dunno, a fanatic that tortures the people that come to him for salvation and still genuinely believes he is helping them is pretty good to me.
and i dont get the weeb part at all?
I think I call Mozgus a dweeb because as intelligent as he is he's only able to discuss his religion. I just find him weird. He's been around the world and everything that come put of his mouth is faith babble. The only people he actually helped were his servants.

oh, dweeb! yeah that makes a lot more sense.
you typo'd that as weeb before, left me thinking "how the heck is Mozgus a weeabo?"

i liked berserk a lot more when it was just guts and puck tbh, also, ever since the introduction of the berserk armor the intense of battles just kinda disappeared, there is no real sense of danger anymore, and guts seems to almost completely forgot about his revenge on griffith

Well him being what I'm assuming to be a white dude screaming out anime attacks probably ain't helping, but there's no argument regarding him being a dweeb. I don't know how Farnese dealt with that guy.

I like JRPG party Berserk though and Griffith bonding with his team is pretty much the better incarnation of Guts. I don't think everybody wanted him to remain Edgelord McEdgelordson. Regarding the Berserk Armor. It's killing him. If Guts didn't have two fairies traveling around with him he'd be dead already. There's also the fact that he can't even fully control it without Schierke helping him out, which leads to him losing control and just wanting to kill his whole team. Yeah it makes him a bit OP, but still if he can't kill the thing fast enough it'll just suck the life out of him.

I found Mozgus to be menacing if only for the reason that his sheer fanatical devotion made him blind to his own evil. In a different way, Guts has had to learn the same lesson about his devotion to revenge and the effect it has on his friends. Thankfully he seems to be making progress (like by actually having friends!).

why were you seeing it over and over for, bro~

:>

also daddy goku ava is hilarious XD

I just really liked it...lol

And thanks, love his beard in that picture :D

A big turning point in the story is what happens with Casca and whether she even agree's with Guts' revenge.

One of my favourites for sure... now that Hunter Hunter is coming back, this just needs to come back to restore balance to the Universe.

Chrollo, Feitan, Bisky, Machi, Shizuku, Silva, Zeno, Komugi, I like Hisoka and Illumi as murder bros, I think the taller female that also guards Killua. Killua and Nanika are a cute sibling pairing. Wait the genei ryoudan is the Ghost Brigade?!

They're called the Phantom Troupe, but the "Ghost Brigade" thing is a joke if HxH ever got a DBZ styled Malaysian dub.

Seems like it's coming back Dec 22.

That means both Berserk and HxH will be publishing at the same time :D

Rosine is actually complex. Wyald just wants to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Rosine actually had some moments of not being a demented monster which became unsettling when you discovered how much of a monster she was. Though she never lost her innocence in a way, it just got distorted. I liked Jill and Rosine's friendship.

If you really think of it, the whole of Berserk is complex.
This is true. On my reread I just found Wyald too...simple. He just struck me as a man that didn't want to grow up and just wanted to remain in his 20's or some shit and he just happened to stumble onto a Behelit. I couldn't even imagine what he would have sacrificed. (Slug Count sacrificed his wife right?)

What did he even have to begin with? He seems like the least fleshed out Apostle. I would guess he sacrificed his family, but then again he doesn't seem like a person that loves anything outside of himself.
When he dies it's revealed that his true form was just an old man, so it's easy to imagine that he probably sacrificed his family or whoever was caring for him so that he could live a life of "excitement and enjoyment". As for not seeming like the kind of person who would care about anyone except himself, first we don't learn anything about him and it's established that becoming an apostle makes you pure evil. If we didn't know about the Count's daughter and backstory than he would seem like just as much of a sociopathic monster as Wyald and the Snake Baron.

Also, can't wait for the next chapter. Really glad it's coming out before Christmas.

Yeah the apostles do come off as pure evil, but I never exactly got that feeling from Rosine. I don't exactly know if it's because she's like 14, but she didn't exactly renounce her humanity when she became an Apostle. She's twisted as fuck yes, but there does seem to be more to her though. Granted this isn't me excusing her turning kids into bug monsters and eating villagers.

I think that Rosine's actions were just as evil as the Count's, but she herself was a different kind of evil. It was almost like she simply didn't understand that the things she was doing were horrible, like how a child doesn't understand things the way adults do, if that makes sense. As for retaining her humanity, the impression I got is that Jill was the last remaining trace of her humanity which is why she wanted Jill to stay with her, similar to how the Count still loved his daughter. Basically, her friendship with Jill was the only bit of good she still had.

I can't even argue with you there. She only really cared about Jill and only Jill, everything else could burn. I guess I just liked that aspect of the characterization more. She'd do anything for Jill except not flying around killing villagers. I also don't think Jill fully understood the gravity of her actions. I guess I prefer Rosine because the story spent a lot more time with her than the other Apostles, that and Rosine had a hard life. I got the feeling that she just felt completely unwanted by the world around her.
