Just read through a bit of that GTS sales thread on the main page. I didn't realise there was quite the level of hate about for the game. I mean sure, I have my own issues with it, but they're fairly niche complaints I would imagine and mostly the sort of thing that every GT game is full of. Unless you bought without doing any research expecting GT7, what's the issue? In my opinion, they've delivered a fun to drive, amazing looking driving game with a large roster of cars and plenty of tracks for them.
Something to fiddle with over the holidays. Been using Inkscape and I'm really missing Illustrator :G
There's been times when some layers appear invisible in game while showing just fine on the website. Chucking everything in a layer that works got them appearing in game again but whew lad, it takes a lot of patience working around the limitations of the livery editor.

The issue is that it is Gran Turismo, every thread about the game has been a pain since about 2010.
Honestly, there is a lot of hate for big series like that in general. It's why I have mostly stopped getting involved in threads related to MGS, Final Fantasy etc. Takes no time at all for them to turn into hate fests.
As mentioned above can we get the track and GR so we can get some practise in, would also be interesting if we have a time trial each week for those who cant make the actual racing at the weekend ?
Something like Monday am announce a track and GR, setup fixed etc, those who are racing can practise all week, ready for race on Sunday, we can also take into account everyones best time for those who cant catch the actual race ? rinse and repeat ? This way everyone can feel competitive without having to worry about not being able to make the race on the weekend ?

Man!!! How do you do this stuff? I've neen trying to research exactly what an SVG file even is and looking up apps that convert all types of files etc..just a headache, why can't we just upload good ol' JPEG or PNG? Lol
Superb idea was thinking the same about time trials last night
There's a few reasons for why using .svg files is much better, like keeping size of the decal files low and vector graphics that an .svg file represents keep the exact same visual quality and sharpness when enlarged contrary to image files.
That's all fine and dandy, I just wish there was a proper tutorial in the game or something. Having my own custom skins would really add another dimension to the game for me.
Well, you can convert any jpg/png image into svg format, just google 'jpg to svg converter' to get some simple online tools for it. The resulting file might not be optimized, but it's an easy way to get started with some light decal stuff.
You can also use the in-game Discover feature and use search terms to see if what you want in your livery has already been uploaded by someone else.

I must say, I was not expecting to enjoy Scapes Mode as much as I do. When the game was first revealed and they spent a good chunk of time on it, I had the "move on and show more of the gameplay" mentality.
Now that I've owned the game for a week, I've opened up to it and spent four hours on Scapes Mode just last night pumping out pictures competing with my brother and cousin for who can make the coolest set pieces, along with the most likes.

GT Sport can be criticized for a number of things (rightly so sometimes) but scapes is definitively not one of them.
They really set the bar for this kinda feature so hopefully they continue to release more scapes locations in future updates.
Making liveries and then taking that perfect shot in scapes is very satisfying.
When I first got the game, I bought into it cause of the older JDM cars making their way in, and the push for factory cars. After opening up to Scapes, I'm now really excited to see what kind of pictures I can take with the cars perfectly fitting their environments.

I tried (and won lol) my first online race yesterday and I have one big complaint. I like how you can set a qualifying time while waiting for the game to begin matchmaking, but why does the game rush so much to end the race after the leader has crossed the finish line? Other drivers should be given more time to get to the finish before the results screen is displayed. Anyway I have only one endurance left in the campaign mode so I'll be playing more of the Sport mode in the upcoming days. :) Well at least until the proper sp campaign arrives ;).
Day and time is perfect for me (kids in bed etc).
But I'm giving my spot to the next person in line because I'm FCUKING banned for whole week again. Guess what: I didn't send any messages since unbanning and the reason for new ban is again the same as last one, a message that I allegedly sent to GTSport player.

Yes. they can. Take a screenshot of your desired scape using the share button, then set as custom theme in the theme settings and you're good to go.
Stop messaging people and set your message settings so that you can't receive messages from people who you aren't friends with on PSN.
Seriously, it's better for your health that way.
As I said, I didn't send any messages, not even one. Null zero nada, zero communication with people from PSN friends or with others.
There wasn't any indications of account hack either, so I'm completely clueless WTF is going on.

Maybe it was for a message you sent before the previous ban?
Or do you use the post race in-game messaging system?
If they are totally off the mark on this one then you should get in touch via support to get it reversed.
You didn't change your message for before and after a race to something different did you?
Could be an old message, or even something you wrote in the game (comment, lobby name, pre-race greeting, etc.)

Called them and they said the same thing as before: top level UK moderators team decision, can't be undone, can't share details etc.
