2017 Era Secret Santa

Could you help me out? Need to let my TT know that their gifts are on the way.
Gifts have been packaged, and will be picked up tonight. Should arrive by next week, but i have a tracking # ready in case something gets messed up.
I'm interested to see how they respond to one of the included gifts. It's nothing bad, but it is interesting

Do most people prefer to send a tracking number to their TT so they can track it, or just silently track it themselves so the TT is none-the-wiser their gift is on the way?
I think I'm leaning towards the latter (unless s/he posts in here asking for a tracking number).

I think i'd lean towards the latter, and only have an intermediary contact my TT if it ends up being unlikely that the present would be arriving on time.

Era, what do you think of a secret Santa that also send gifts for your kids? I'll check with my SO if she allows me to post pictures but the girls are so happy.
It was just the box it came in. The presents are still wrapped. We are not breaking tradition in my house! (love Christmas )
The two reasons I'm asking for the tracking number, because sometimes items get stuck at Customs, and so I can plan the time to stay at home or get my wife to take the present.

nah that's totally cool. Would suck for your delivery to not arrive on time due to an easily avoidable formality. I'd gladly relay the tracking number, if your SS reads this. - just PM me.
I understand if you can't post pictures of your girls but at least show us the art they come up with haha you should help them :D
Received a gift today, I am going to be patient and wait to open it for a while. Thanks in advance to my SS. Will post results once opened.
I wish I could! But, I go away for Christmas soon so, if it comes before then, it's best to open it.
That, and I have very nosy parents who want to know everything I get in my parcels right away ahaha... ;n;
People with kids, when you receive gifts from SS for your kids, how do you deal with it ? Do you say its from Santa ?
I don't have children but, if I can add my two cents; I think telling your kids that your Secret Santa got them something as being from Santa is incredibly sweet and adds to some magic of the holiday and, is it really lying? It is Secret Santa, after all. :3
At the same time, there's also massive worth of telling them a kind stranger thought of them also during Christmas. So it works as a benefit in both ways. I hope it isn't presumptuous of me, however, not being a parent and all and replying.

I never tell my TT anything. I just send something (along with all the appropriate info to nicoga) and wait for it to show up in the thread.
One of the gifts arrived at my TT's home after being lost in the post for 4-5 days.
The second gift should be there on Wednesday.
I'm so excited for them to open the stuff.

Same. I can understand why they would want tracking numbers if they're international, though. Customs can ruin everything :(
do we have a process this year for asking our Tiny Tim extra questions just so we can customise the gift better, just want to know a few more thingos from mine.

I always ask for my SS' favourite book, so job done there. The synopsis at the back is....quite something.

All items packaged up and sent off......with a giant customs label on the box detailing everything inside.......plz TT ignore that when opening the box!
Presents finally sent off! That was a far more stressful situation than it should have been; it's been a while since I shipped anything internationally.
