printed this guy today.. two colours on botanical ultra smooth paper.. maybe had slightly too much ink in the screen for the black.
gonna do the whole edition on Monday.. gotta hand tear more paper -_-

I just finished this remake of a remake, Zidane from Final fantasy 9. It's not that big of a jump but I think i'm finding my style.

Bunch of weirdness remains. Keep feeling like I'm narrowing her too much.

So I drew Tyrell Wellick from Mr.Robot today, wanted to get better with colours.
Not sure I got his likeness as well as I could've, but I had fun with this one.
Shadow on his forehead towards the right looks a bit odd, too sharp.

Anatomy has improved, but I actually really like the hand-drawn style and colors in the first picture.

Here's the last thing I drew... tbh I really hate it and not sure why, lol. I probably need to freshen my eyes to make the flaws stand out. Inspired by Horizon btw

Looks pretty great to me. Only odd thing is that they're seemingly locked in combat but aren't looking at each other.

I do all hand drawn art with marker and colored pencils. I get a little bit of recognition for it, enough to do comic conventions in the area.

This was a recently finished LeBron piece. The tattoos were a pain.


These are recently done Justice League pieces that will all link together when complete

Thanks! I'm only doing it for my portfolio. I mostly draw fantasy stuff, so I wanted to throw in more scifi work in there.
I post regularly on Instagram. You will see some work in progress stuff from the scifi project, but you will also see some fantasy and fan art stuff sprinkled here and there because I can't help myself. Cheers!

does anyone have any advice on how to be more "painterly"? in both digital and real painting...i feel like all my stuff is just flat colors on top of each other and then blended a bit.

I'm also working on a short film as a personal project - the initial idea was to make a sequence from an action movie that strongly hinted at a more complete story without having to actually make it all.

Hello everyone! Here's a pixel art piece I just finished recently, for #drawdinovember this year. It's based on Borealopelta, a dinosaur named this year with a remarkably well-preserved skeleton, armour and even colour information intact. This took way, way too long to finish - I like doing large pixel art, but I think this was a bit much.

Found this old one made with Blender. The blocky low poly look is intentional.




Man, I need to go back to Blender... =/

See, this is refreshing paleoart. It's beautifully stylized AND the depiction of the animal seems pretty accurate.

Hey guys, need help... looking to get a new art tablet on the cheap... 2 options looked great at costco recently...

i5 Surface Pro 4 4gb Ram

Or

Lenovo Flex 5 15" (i7 16gb ram)

Specifically, does anyone know how good either are, any lag when drawing, using programs such as photoshop, clip studio paint, sketchbook pro...

Both are roughly 800-1000$

I like the surface, but no clue if an i5 with 4gb ram is gonna be enough for digital painting (multiple layers, effects, etc...)

But the lenovo is kinda a mystery in terms of how well itll handle art even with 16gb of ram... no clue how well art progz work on it or how good the pen input is. The almost 16" screen is fucking awesome, but i really like the surface portability too...

This will be primarily for art, so no real worries about computing... which is why im asking here!

After many months of creative block, yesterday I felt the urge to draw something again.
I am a huge Lovecraft junkie, and Cuphead has been a bit of an obsession for me lately (it's certainly my GOTY, without a doubt). So I decided to kinda combine the two things, and here's 30s styled Cthulhu.
This was also the chance for me to try basically for the first time a brush pen (notably a Pentel Pocket Brush): only a few lines are really OK here, but considering how inexperienced I am in the whole inking process I certainly won't complain.
Hope you guys dig it!

For the WoW 13th anniversary contest

From my last study stream - focused on an analogous pallet (Yellow-Blue). Next study stream we'll be focusing on complimentary or triadic schemes.

Seeing a lot of amazing colors, I've mostly stuck to using just a pencil, don't have much practice in Photoshop coloring tho that is something that aim to change in the future, so going to post some of my work.

This was done recently for a character design class in college, project was animal mashup.


Also character design class where we were instructed to create our own race.

Hey guys anyone able to help me choose which tablet I can upgrade to for my wife? She has a standard wacom tablet "medium pro" and I want to give her a display tablet. Can't afford a wacom 22" model but saw a lot of Chinese alternatives, anyone have experience with these? Was looking at the Huion GT-220 v2.
