Trackmania is a pretty great streamlined Trackmania experience! It's just always such a relaxing game, even though it's highly stressful. But there's just something about hanging out with loads of people in a track, talking to your friends in the party, drinking a beer and trying to beat your own record. Sure I miss the 'real' Trackmania crazyness with the custom soundtracks and amazing/awful custom camera's, but it's pretty good!

I'd never played a Trackmania game before so I spent around 45 minutes checking it out last night. I used the Spotify app on X1 to stream some tunes and just chill & drive for a while which was fun. It was a good palate cleanser after playing some Evil Within previously. I played several tracks of the 'campaign mode' and found that the races were a little short, resulting in spending more time in menus/loading screens than I would have liked, but maybe there are better modes I should be playing?

I haven't tried a Trackmania since I played Nations back in high school, I'll have to check this one out. Also, somehow, I managed to download Medal of Honor: Airborne right at the end of yesterday. I don't remember that game having the best reviews but it doesn't hurt to try it out

Campaign is pretty good, but starts off pretty slow. Unless you're going for gold medals right away. The game is best experienced online. It's a pretty weird competitive affair. Tens of people are racing at the same time, but everybody is a ghost so you're only really competing on the leaderboard. Every few minutes the map is changed, and you get another shot at getting that top 3 spot on the server.

I got trackmania day one on the ps4 and loved it. So addicting going for those green medals and cutting milliseconds off a time.

I just wish the campaign was laid out better as switching between styles to progress can be jarring a bit.

The online died pretty quickly even on the ps4, so hopefully this gets a nice bump on the xb1.

Yeah I've really enjoyed Trackmania so far, it's easy to pick up and play for like ten to fifteen spare minutes at a time

I played tons of TrackMania Forever back in college because it was free and ran on my low-end laptop. I'm enjoying this new Trackmania, but the track design doesn't quite feel right. I can't put my finger on it.

Also, it's hard to make subtle movements with the car. I thought going from a keyboard to a controller would give me more control but it's feeling like the opposite.

That's almost my exact same experience. I'm going to try the online mode soon because that was most of my experience with Nations back a few years ago. It's probably more interesting on PC online though

Up nice and early again I see

Just grabbed them. Thnx.

Grabbed TFTB also even though I already own the episodes 2-5 one and got 1 free. Kind of pointless really but it might encourage Telltale into doing another season seeing how many people download it.

December Games with Gold.

I've got Back to the future, a decent Telltale game and a must play for BTTF fans.

The rest I don't own or never played, they any good?

Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide - Xbox One
Back to the Future (Telltale) - Xbox One

Child of Eden (360)
Marlow Briggs and the Mask of the Death (360)
Terrible

Without a doubt the worst month in a long time

Updated the OP.

I know on the surface this looks like a meh month, but 3 of these games are legitimately good. Marlow Briggs is a great God of War clone. Better than Dante's Inferno.

Great month. Warhammer revives Left 4 Dead gameplay in a very good way, always been on the fence. Marlo Biggs was very fun back in the day when I played the demo, felt like a very good action adventure/hack n slay, at least for the price tag of 10 bucks.

Is there a Game Pass thread? I can't find one and there are quite a few hidden gems on there.

Cobalt isn't too bad at all, only briefly played it but i like its look and the gameplay. Vermintide i can't say yet, nothing but connection errors and the tutorial is not enough.

Vermintide was alright. I was interested in buying it originally but after finally playing it I can see that it was good that I waited.

Nothing that really interests me, except Child of Eden a little bit. I'll give it a try when I get home, i'll probably just download the others just to keep them in my library.

Vermintide is really fun co op. I'm playing with my roommate and two rando's and we are really enjoying it. It feels older and has flaws for sure, but it's a super fun Left 4 Dead clone. The melee is very satisfying.

Is it weird that I'm really liking forward to playing Army of Two again? Really would like to dust off the gold Minogue and give some bros some high fives

Thread title continues its correct streak! :P

Ah well they'll run out of Van Helsing, Ubisoft and EA games eventually right?

Game Pass announcements really are eating GWG lunch excitement wise.

Anyone from the UK having trouble with Army of Two?

I've tried on the website, changing my locale to UK, and there is no 'buy' option at all.

On the Xbox App, i searched Army of Two and got "Army of Two (EU)" which had no 'Buy' option. It is also said released in 2010, despite the game coming out in 2008.

Really weird - anyone else having trouble? Particularly in the UK/Europe?

Edit: when I click to buy from another region, it refreshes, changes my region to UK, and says the offer is not valid in my region.

Yeah it seems like there's a special version of the game for the EU, maybe it has something to do with included language packs.
Either way it's still € 19,99 for me, so I guess I'll have to wait until it becomes free. Pretty weird, because the Games with Gold site is already recommending the game.

I know they can't digitally sell Driver: SF which was recently added to BC, but I wonder if there is some legal loophole that would allow them to make it GWG. Probably not worth the risk of legal action.
