From the Batman Ninja Anime thread.

Now imagine how well Berserk '16 could've turned out if it had had this level of talent and competent direction behind it.

I don't really like the CG in this either but at least the fights in the latter bit of the trailer looked pretty good.

I hope this happens, but at the same time the lack of Griffith will destabilize a lot of shit as well. Knowing Berserk it's just going to lead to a was this really worth it type thing.

One of my theories is that Griffith was almost too well "made" in terms of his desire for power, namely a kingdom and now that he has one he isn't going to give it up or use it for the God Hands greater ends. Even to the point where he turns against them to maintain his kingdom and is actually the savior of humanity... until Guts shows up not giving a shit about any of that and just wanting to chop him in half for revenge which would really add a new layer to things. Does he fuck humanity and kill his mortal enemy or recant and give up his revenge so humanity can prosper... or I'm thinking too much about it.

No. I think that's the right amount of thinking to be honest. Berserk is way more than just a simple revenge story now. If Griffith dies that's going to have some world changing consequences.

I'm confident that Griffith is bad news even for the people that he's taken under his wing in Falconia. I think he's just playing some strange long game that we can't see the end of yet.

And yeah, fuck Griffith.

Well my idea was that he's playing a different long game to the God Hand. This is all also assuming that Falconia is doomed from the start and they're just gather as much of humanity as possible there for a sacrifice to end all sacrifices but in general the plan seems about consolidating power inside of Falconia even with the destruction of other spirit trees like the one Flora lived in to allow the world tree to grow ever more powerful. That and of course the merging of the layers in general seems to be about this on a much grander and cosmic scale.

I could totally see that. No reason he wouldn't use them just like he used everyone else. Sure will be interesting to see if the story takes a significant jump forward after we see what happens with Casca.

Technically it would be a bigger jump for Guts and crew as time passes quicker on Elfhelm than the real world. Then again that could give us adult Schierke and Isidro.

Honestly did not notice this thread until now. Good to see it though.

That sounds about right I think. As Guts said, Griffith's kingdom is only another step, and he seek to soar to even greater heights. My guess is that Griffith's ultimate goal will be to surpass the Idea of Evil as the god of the world.

no no no no

i dont ship any ships from any series okei >:C im one of those canon-only people. no ships. ships are bad. ships that took a long time to reach anywhere is even worse.

im saying that i was bought hook and sinker from the golden age griffith and his credits extends far :( also i dont like anyone from guts' side. they are too vanilla. i started reading berserk for .... questionable reasons (i like fictional grimdark thingies :<) and guts' team is full with very fine and good people and too vanilla for my liking. bring on the despair and the brutality and the darkness.

also i got attached to my avatar from berserk mafia and i blame StanleyPalmtree

Griffith's ambition is limitless, eventually he will betray the Godhand/Idea of Evil.

If that betrayal means condemnation or salvation to humanity is up to see.

It would be lol if Griffith tries to make peace with Guts to face the GH(not gonna happen, just something ridiculous that crossed my mind)

spider absolutely disgusting

The griffith support stuff, not the shipping stuff

Casca isn't cognizant
Yet Casca likes being around Farnese and Farnese likes helping her. My head cannon is that when she gets fixed she continues her friendship with Farnese. As not there as Casca is she still clearly knows when she does and doesn't like being around someone. Not to mention in Casca's head her bug form is clearly attached to Farnese since her bug form is with her.

just because someone invalid seems to be dependent on their carer doesnt make them cognizant of the full extent of being in a relationship as a functioning and consenting adult

bold parts is okay tho

but again, im not a shipper

To me Griffith is shaping the world so it can be eternally at war with him as the leader of one side. I always thought his alliance with monsters who want to eat and kill humans was temporary. That eventually he will release them so that humanity can have a new enemy. Those demons are just waiting.

Either that or he will just turn the world to hell, pretty on the outside but with people being constantly sacrificed to the demons behind the scene.

A couple questions:

1. Any USA region compatible Blu-Ray releases for the 1997 series?

2. Anymore seasons of the new Berserk series planned or even hinted at?

Griffith seems like he's trying to be the bridge between demons and humans though. He's a monster but he ain't that bad. Granted it's Griffith so who knows what his end game is though. People love him, guts and crew just hate him. Charlottes knits fanart of him.

yeaaa, im also quite curious on how miura will deal with griff's end game. i think his current form is op as fuk and i dont enjoy that. but then again i think guts' side is ad&d on steroids and i dont really like that either. both sides seems to be powering up for a clash of the titans kind of thing. i do hope it's set up right. i like build up :>

and charlotte is the cutest lol omg ^ ___ ^ (her maid is also adorbs)
