So I'm just about done listening to the Jones-Colin discussion (EDIT: Done now). Not too happy about Jones being on there but ultimately the discussion was fine. Not fantastic, not terrible.
They mostly talked about EZA and Colin praised the EZA brand in multiple ways. Beyond that, they talked about Patreon in general and how it affects their life and kind of work they do.
Towards the end, they address the controversy surrounding Jones' appearance and Colin said he and the people close to him were negatively affected by the various things people called him because they disagree with those. Jones seems to also disagree with a lot of the things Colin has been called which is why he went on the show.
After listening to Colin for the first time since he left KF, remembering his appearances on KF and IGN and listening to his thoughts on the controversy surrounding this episode of his podcast, I would say that the dude is not racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic. He is however VERY rude/impolite, pretentious, disrespectful, unapologetic and antagonistic (described himself during the show as having been sharpened to a fine edge or something by his upbringing which almost made me throw up) and that's why the dude just never backs down from all the controversial stuff he says, whether they be jokes or not, no matter how much it may offend "some people" or how racist/sexist they may seem. This means that, while he doesn't necessarily reject specific groups of people on a fundamental level, he still very much comes across as an extremely shitty human being, the likes of which I wouldn't want to be friends with (and honestly wouldn't expect Jones to be friends with) or support with my viewership or money.
EDIT: Also, Jones said he'd rather be the kind of person who apologizes if he offends someone (you know, like a decent person?)
Interested in hearing other people's thoughts on that episode.
