Would you please link to said mod post? In the other thread, a mod agreed it could be seen as a spoiler, so apparently they don't agree.
It's in the OP. I edited it in after someone suggested I do that.
I don't see why a new topic had to be posted with a title that spoils the character when there was already a topic for discussing it that didn't spoil the character.

Just because something appears in a trailer doesn't mean it's not a spoiler. Wolfenstein New Colossus had a huge reveal in one of its trailers that I'd consider a spoiler. Fortunately I didn't watch the trailers so it wasn't spoiled for me and only after I saw the reveal in game did I learn it had been in a trailer.
Obviously people have different thoughts but I don't see why people who don't see it as a spoiler overrides people who do. I did PM the mod from the Op post.

My friend played the Super Robot Wars Taisen OG Remix Turbo Featuring Dante From The Devil May Cry games too so he needs to know if this is true.

Fiora, Shulk, Elma. Plenty of Xenoblade characters that should've been put as a Blade before a scamco character.
I would rather Monolith Soft not waste their time on the only game series that made me fall asleep during its cutscenes.
None of them would make sense as blades though. And it's clear here they want to connect it to the previous series. I mean, they even got Tetsuya Nomura to make artwork for the game.
Takahashi created KOS-MOS. Heck, Takahashi probably wanted her into the game, given he has been referencing her for years through various characters.
I haven't been following the game. I love Kos Mos. This topic is relevant to my interests.
I am now interested in the game.
Fortunately the world don't revolve around you.. and from the reaction from this news it's good that the developers and marketing team picked Kos mos instead since the xenoblade characters you mentioned will likely appeal to fans whom are already getting the game and Kos mos helps to reach out to another demographic
This is a nice little cameo Blade! It made KOS-MOS trend on Twitter for a bit, so that's something.
Those characters would make just as much sense. They don't even have to make them directly the characters. They could make them references like the blade Vasara referencing Ga Jiarg and his skell from X.
What another demographic? There's no Xenosaga demographic, all 3 games bombed. Xenosaga is much more niche than Xenoblade.

So I haven't been following the game news and this feels a little spoiler worthy but that's okay
My question is the whole blade-gacha thing. How does it work? Is it an actual gacha? Trying to stay away from all media to go into the game fully surprised.

It's setup like gacha. Blades are randomized, but you don't have to pay to get them.

I feel most of that was Monolith dancing around the references to the point that Square didn't notice, or cared.
I just wish Emeralda got featured in something new. Quite possibly the coolest design ever in a JRPG and with one of the best backstories ever.
Xenosaga is a dead franchise as in 2017, but Ep. 1 sold like 900k (USA + JP) and Ep. 2 was around 500k, that's more than all Xenoblade games combined. A lot of people remember the series fondly and KOS-MOS is still decently loved even today (Especially by her creator). It definitely got some attention, as this thread and twitter reactions show.
IIRC Namco bought the rights to re-use certain names and icons (The Zohar, Abel, etc), but don't quote me on that.
