That was an even match. But then again, Southampton was 19th in the table before the match started.
There I was thinking I was the only claret and blue Midlander in these parts.
The last few games have been a real statement for the Dean Smith era.
So far, excellent. For my money, he feels like a more creative James Millner (and I loved Millner when he played for us) - busy, involved, dangerous and a real 'engine room' player who's in the middle of everything.
Still not the finished product but on his day he's phenomenal.
One of the best things about McGinn is he opens up games, which means Grealish gets more space. Then the opposition has to deal with *both* players who are dangerous going forward anywhere on the park.
As archaic as Bruce was, McGinn was a brilliant signing.
I was so happy he went to yous instead of Celtic, they have so many central players that he could have really stagnated. Good to hear he's doing well and that it's him and Alan fucking Hutton of all people scoring your best goals

Honestly it's hard. The players are at fault as much as Mou, but Mourinho's whinging pre-season - for absolutely nothing - set such a bad tone before a ball had been kicked. I get why there is a circus around United, and I feel cringe typing this, but the media absolutely love it. There was literally a story every day on BBC Sport about the club being in meltdown for varous reasons to the point it was boring and I'm sat thinking someone's TV licence money is powering this.
