Ya'know, eatin' this shit like a bag of chips, which is what I'm doing right now.

Was super common in my school, and not sure if just a local thing or if I'm just one of those people who can't be normal.

EDIT: Yes I crumple it up first, yes I used the flavor packet

No I think it's local to only where you live. I don't think anyone outside of where you live has ever eaten instant noodles raw.

I had a cousin that did this. He would also eat cold hot dogs right out of the packet.

Koreans do this all the time. They break it up a little before opening it and sprinkle on the spicy sauce packets and eat it. It's pretty good. They even started making snack versions of these things that's sold next to potato chips and stuff, but haven't tried those.

It was big up here in southern Ontario in grades 5 and 6 for me.

We would eat it raw. I tried doing it for a bit recently but that powder…heck.

Go eat the real ramen at a good shop and you will love life and it's big even that expensive

I used to see people at school eating ramen raw. Pretty gross and it expands in your stomach so it can make you feel unwell.

- Open packaging
-Take out seasoning packet
Season ramen inside the packaging
- Close packaging, break off ramen into smaller pieces, and shake the bag to mix the seasoning in
- Enjoy your lunch

Never done that. I've gotten bored and chewed on raw spaghetti when ever I'm making it, but I could never imagine chewing and swallowing more than a few nibbles.

You don't have to live like that OP. At the very least, crush it up and pour some hot water into the bag and turn it into a jailhouse tamale.

I mean, I once poured Dr Pepper on a Pot Noodle so I could eat it then and there. Soy sachet too lol.

Can't say I would ever do it again though.

Instant ramen has already been cooked, that's why it's crumbly and stiff. It's been fired once already and you just need to rehydrate it.

It's basically a giant block of carbs with the texture of a chip, mostly tasteless unless you use the packet.

I have never done that, but it was super common among kurds, arabs etc. back in school here in germany. Almost as popular as those raw salted sunflower seeds.

I used to do this when I was in junior high school. Get a bag of ramen, dump the flavor packet in, smash up ramen in the bag, shake it up, and it ready to eat.

Happens the world over. Used to do this in highschool in Australia in the 90s.

Never done that. I've gotten bored and chewed on raw spaghetti when ever I'm making it, but I could never imagine chewing and swallowing more than a few nibbles.

Dry instant noodle is nothing like uncooked pasta. It's more like the crispy deep-fried noodles that accompany many Asian dishes.

Was pretty common in elementary school and middle school in Toronto. Crush the sealed package to break the ramen into smaller pieces, open it, pour in the flavour packet, shake, eat. It was either this or Jamaican beef patties for lunch.

Yup. Grew up in SW Ontario and I would crush raw mr. Noodles and dump the flavour packet into the bag, shake it up, and eat them raw on the regular when I was in public school.

It's delicious.

Now I want raw mr noodles.

Yeah, it's possible to eat it like that. I remember seeing it the first time as a kid while watching a dolphin show at a park. That's why the memory stuck with me.

San Diego-ish
Kids used to do it in my elementary school in the late 90s and I thought they were heathens. Then I tried it and it was alright but I'd much rather have some cool ranch Doritos.
