I didn't like Venom as a film but I give the team credit for pulling it off without the need of Spider-Man. I also would praise Tom Hardy's performance for being the saving grace of the film.

*please don't hurt me.

Just got God Country and The Dead Hand before the current Image CMX sale goes off. Any other single volume book from them anyone want to recommend?

White Knight will be an evergreen seller because it's essentially CinemaSins: The Comic (BRO WHY DOESN'T BATMAN SIMPLY FUND THE POLICE? PLOTHOOOOOOOLE), with a nice side dish of pandering to people who refuse to accept anything other than DCAU versions of characters.

I'm fine. It was entertaining; sure there were some stupid bits, but it's comics... I don't need this shit to be Pynchon or DeLillo.
White Knight was a good time. But go ahead and pour on the hate. Though every opinion I have now will be instantly discounted. lol
I've certainly read worse it was just....Meh

Batman Brave and the Bold with Wonder Woman was a better book

Looking forward to what you think about Sabrina. I dont think Ive seen one person like it on twitter

Sabrina is outstanding. I hope it wins the Man Booker. It was so goddamn good. Looking forward to your impressions whatsinaname

Holy shit Sabrina was so good I had to stop reading it because it made me feel physically ill. Did you read Beverly?

Damn, I just finished reading Sabrina. I am still recovering. Might take a few days. This thing is a masterpiece. From the subject matter to how it was handled to the technical expertise in the panel layout/pacing and the sharpness of the screenplay. It isn't just good material with pictures. It is a damn good comic.

Every page you keep asking yourself, is this how a tragedy plays out in 2018? Is the apathy and detachment of Calvin just his character or does it reflect our society as a whole and how we react to and deal with things now? There is this constant sense of heaviness and dread allowing your mind to go off on so many directions/mis-directions (whether intended by Drasno or not).

I wasn't planning to make a end of year top 10 this year because I hadn't read anything standout but I might now have to at least make a top 5 or something.

Ultraviolet Mexican - Hadn't realised people disliked it. I looked up some reviews after and I am rather surprised how divisive it is!

Kazura - I haven't read Beverly but I'll definitely track it down now.

Have you read Sabrinas issue of Afterlife with Archie

Curious why you think he won't given that 90% of his run is incredible

stupid DC, covering up erupting volcano for a head Green Lantern's smoke face

Cover._SX1280_QL80_TTD_.jpg

Wow, this is one of the worst covers I've seen in a while. Horrible trade dress including colour and size. Why are there so many fonts. Why is the central part of the art clobbered.

At least it'll look good in the omnibus/ohc.
