After the great success of the Nes and Snes Classic consoles, in 2018 we saw two new classic/mini consoles : the Neo Geo Mini and the Playstation Classic.

But what classic/mini console would you like to see next ?

N64, which has already been talked about to death, but also Game Boy (Color). Even if they just had Mario Land, Tetris and Pokémon it would be a big deal.

Gameboy Advance SP-like with WiFi connectivity to eShop so you can download more GB/GBC/GBA games but knowing Nintendo it will 30 games and we're gonna be happy about it.

I give up on them after the joke ps mini, I'm ordering a mega drive pi case and kit. But a mini gba with backlit screen, big battery, 100 built in games would be a purchase.

Just N64, then it can stop for a while.

1 - Super Mario 64
2 - Pilotwings 64
3 - Donkey Kong 64
4 - Excitebike 64
5 - Paper Mario
6 - Kirby 64
7 - Mario Kart 64
8 - F-Zero X
9 - Yoshi's Story
10 - Star Fox 64
11 - Mario Party
12 - Zelda OoT
13 - Zelda MM
14 - Dr. Mario 64
15 - 1080 Snowboarding
16 - Mario Golf
17 - Pokémon Puzzle League
18 - Pokémon Snap
19 - Mario Tennis
20 - Super Smash Bros.

All first party, hell of a system.

N64 Classic, basically.
Been wanting to replay a lot of those games and would like to do so on a modern re-release. If the manage to get Banjo and their own games, that would be all I need.

Imagine a GameBoy Classic would sell a ton. I think they could repurpose the guts of a 2DS for one seeing as the 3DS could play all the GameBoy games through VC and native compatibility

A Gameboy Classic would be dope as fuck with a ton of great games.

This. Shame it's not a poll option, as that's what I'd have voted for.

Jesus, I had no idea there was so much thirst for a Gameboy/GBA mini. It's more about console though.

My first choice would be none, as these are being used to generate cash flow in the absence of actual solutions to accessing and playing older generation's games.

My second choice would be Saturn.

1.) Saturn mini
2.) Dreamcast mini
3.) N64 mini

The first two have no chance of ever happening, so I'll hold onto hope for the third, although sometimes maybe it's best to let your memories of things remain untainted by revisiting them.

N64 without a doubt. There's no decent, easy, cheap solution to N64 games looking terrible on a modern TV. HDMI mods are far too rare and expensive and N64 emulation is tough because of controllers amongst other things. No other console needs it as much as the N64 imo.

None of the Sony consoles, unless they bring a better line-up (cause what they brought on PS1 classic is offensive, that lineup doesn't represent the console at all)

I'd be curious to see a Gamecube Mini, but in reality i just want all these games on current gen systems, i don't want to buy extra hardware for these games.

While i'd vote for a n64 or game boy, I think the trend shows that the game selection will be ever more disappointing with every new mini console launched. Which isn't so bad if you want it as a souvenir and conversation piece, or maybe as a gateway to a more serious retro gaming condition.

N64 but that sadly isn't happening it seems.

GBC or GBA would be cool.

Either a rediclously thin Gameboy Classic with crazy battery life and a blacklight or a thin/folding Gameboy Advance SP.

I've chosen the Gamecube Mini, but I would love the Dreamcast and N64 mini. That was a close call.

But I think the Original Xbox Mini would be great to. Here are the games we could get :

Halo Combat Evolve
Halo 2
Halo Wars
Mechassault
Crimson Skies
Half Life 2
Doom 3
Ninja Gaiden Black
Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay
NFL 2K 5
Full Spectrum Warrior
Splinter Cell
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
Jade Empire
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Fable
Project Gotham Racing
Forza 2

EDIT : fixed, thanks ThEoRy...

At this point I'm only interested in a GBA or a good Neo Geo Mini with better+cheaper hardware and a better selection of games.

Classic consoles would only be somewhat worthwhile to me if they were actual new versions of the actual consoles and could play the whole library, not just a selection.

In that vein, I'd kill for a 60GB PS3 Classic. Full backwards compatability baby!

Saturn, because its library looks awesome from afar (I never owned one myself), most of its biggest games aren't available on digital platforms and it's still difficult to emulate most of them without a gaming PC. I'd be willing to pay a hefty price for an easy and elegant emulation solution.

It'll never happen though, not nearly enough nostalgia for that system sadly.

Where's the saturn option OP?

No option for saturn?!
BOO!!

1.) Saturn mini
2.) Dreamcast mini
3.) N64 mini

The first two have no chance of ever happening, so I'll hold onto hope for the third, although sometimes maybe it's best to let your memories of things remain untainted by revisiting them.

N64 then saturn then dreamcast

I had limited options for the poll Saturn supporters. It seems several of you would love a Saturn mini. But do you feel there would be a great selection of games compare to the other consoles listed ?

N64, if only because emulation for it is still very hit and miss even on very powerful computers.

Gb/gba are the ones I want the most. Especially gba. As of today there is no definitive gba hardware so a classic oteration with backlight and a rechargeable battery would be a godsend.

None, Xbox BC is my thing. Derailed Nostalgia for even more devices under the TV doesn't convinve me.

N64 Classic is my pick from the poll. Its the one I'd be the most excited for. Nintendo feels like they have done these classic consoles right for the most part, while the PS1 Classic has issues and I've heard the Neo Geo mini isn't super great either.

Personally though, I'd prefer a Gameboy Classic Edition as the next step. Lots of great games and untapped retro potential, especially if they can seal the deal and work out getting Tetris and Pokemon on it at the same time.

(And that's original Gameboy only, by the way. No GBC or GBA. Those can come later with their own classic handhelds.)

Game Boy or GBA. You can already make something like that with a Raspberry Pi Zero, but something official would be nice.

PC Engine, but that's very unlikely to happen.

Mine's not on this list so I went with Dreamcast mini, but Saturn mini.

All of its games are ludicrously expensive secondhand. I've tried building up a collection of my own but now the good games go for at least $100 complete, it's ridiculous.

It all depends on what games can be available. Saturn would be the best if it had all the best games
