have to say that i gladly bypass a live show like this so that i can then skip past the rubbish parts (usually lots) later and no..... it's not even close to being a 2nd E3.
I'm glad, it's just a giant marketing show. I'll read about the announcements in the morning.
Even with the shitty time slot for most people in the EU I always drag myself up from bed to watch it.
What Keighley could do is have the show on a friday.
Its not a new feeling though... Sony's E3 conference was always at 3am. Also, the VGA's are fucking too longg to watch. I prefer to just check out the trailer after. Its not as entertaining as a conferenceSo, everyone is excited for the video game awards, its basically becoming a 2nd E3 and Geoff does a wonderful job with hosting it, I'm sure there will be many great surprises.
And that makes me sad, because I can't watch it live. See, the VGA airs around 2:30 midnight in Germany on a working day, meaning there is no way to watch it live. Yes, I can watch it after that of course, but its not the same. There is nothing more magical than watching a video game event live with so many people around the globe and hype up great games announcements on the exact same time.
I know that its an american focused show and has every right to air around that time, but as an European I can't help but to feel really excluded from that event. I mean, Nintendo and Microsoft are hosting their E3 events at much more convenient times as well, so maybe hosting VGA a few hours before would be in the realm of possibility?
What do you think? Are more Europeans here who feel the same way?
That's wrong, you can sleep every night and TGA live is once a year.Sleep > vga live for me. I just watch the trailers the next morning.
So less expensive ;)Yeah, I don't understand why the show is on a Thursday. Like, why.
So stupid
You could learn to be less of an asshole. Do you think you might manage to do that?
If they had it a couple of hours earlier it would be much better for the whole of Europe while still being fine for the US and Asia wouldn't it?
I get up at 2am for Sony's E3, but not for the Game Awards anymore, they're never worth it.
Yes to both.
Even with the shitty time slot for most people in the EU I always drag myself up from bed to watch it.
It's the only one I can watch live, since it starts early in the morning for me in Australia. How I feel everytime Sony does their show at E3. It's fucking late.
But I get to sleep next year thankfully. I've watched every Sony E3 live since they started streaming.

You're right, tbh I never watch PC or Devolver, and while I know that Bethesda is late, (3-4 am) I almost never watch it live. This year even if I had free days I didn't watch even Sony live, as I get older I'm starting to prioritize sleeping over watching conferences that most of the times are not worth being up that late.Right, but you're forgetting Bethesda, Devolver and the PC Gaming Show, which account with PlayStation for nearly half of the event (4 out of 10 conferences). That's not "most of it" as I said, nor the most anticipated conferences, but I guess I tried to say that we europeans are used to watch E3 at night, or to miss a part of it.
