Naw, Bush was far worst. His foreign policy mistakes have ruined the world far more than Trump has managed. On top of leaving the economy in a tremendous mess. Up to this point, so I am not trying to jinx things.
Trump has completely destroyed common decency of the office and made conspiracy theories a legitimate avenue for half the country.

Trump is far far worse and the effects will be felt for decades. Enjoy the downward spiral that happens when truth goes out the window.

Unlike his son, I never really heard that many bad things about him. Trump is an incompetent idiot who can barely form a sentence, but George W Bush killed directly and indirectly hundreds of thousands of innocent people and not just fucked up the entire middle east, but completely destroyed the US economy as well. No president, no matter how incompetent will likely ever compare to the damage done by Bush jr.

Rest in Peace. While I disagreed with his politics, I think his heart was in it, he wasn't like what we have now. Glad he's with his wife.

When surrounded in history by Nixon, Reagan, W, and Trump, there's always going to be a lot of whitewashing of HW from people who need to believe that Conservatives can be good. That being said, he was a heck of a lot better than most of them. Hopefully someday historians will be able to have an honest discussion about the positives and negatives of his legacy.

But until then, RIP man.

I've lost such track of time it's insane to me that he was 18 years old when WW2 was going on.

94. Damn. My grandfather just turned 90. For all his faults, he did a good job post presidency handling himself.

Fuck Bush Sr. The shit he did to so many people domestically and abroad was absolutely despicable and horrifying. The fact that people are commemorating him when he clearly has hurt and killed so many people (directly and indirectly) speaks to the ignorance or disregard of human life. The blood-soaked legacy he leaves behind should absolutely be acknowledged and not forgotten under the guise of 'respectability politics' or whatever bullshit people are prioritizing over the lives and deaths of so many people.

I recall reading a story earlier this week (or last week) that President Obama had gone to see President Bush. I wonder they knew this was it for him.

Can't say I agreed with many of his policies, but he was the last GOP president I had a lot of respect for.
RIP and wishing his family the best.

That's cool.

Is Obama going to get the same treatment?

May he rest in peace. Not a fan of the Republicans, but he was one of the better ones. Standing up to the NRA was a cool move. I'd take another Bush Sr. over Trump any day of the week.

Rest in peace Mr Bush. I disagreed with many things you did but at least you seemed competent as President of the USA.
