What? Ray Rice, Reuben Foster, Greg Hardy, Ray Rice, etc. all assaulted black women. Not even sure what this post is trying to say or why someone would bother throwing it in
Greg Hardy assaulted an white woman. He's not playing football. Reuben Foster is still in the league. If Ray Rice wasn't filmed, he would still be in too. Joe Mixon assaulted an white woman, but they cannot do anything to him because he was still in college. What I'm saying is that while domestic violence acts across the league should be punished. Kareem Hunts biggest crime here is he attacked a woman that affects the NFL's biggest demographic. White men.

So who tips off TMZ in an instance like this? The woman? The security staff at this hotel? Wonder what the going rate is.

Probably not the women, any person with a decent amount of brains would know this was a settlement and a big stack of cash waiting to happen.

Probably the police or someone at the hotel who could make some good money selling it to TMZ

They bleed into each other a bit for people that play. I remember when I was doing fantasy I listened to alot of podcasts and it was always uncomfortable how they handled these situations. They have to be sympathetic and all that but they also have to give you advice on what to do with your team.

Which always sounded so insensitive but there's no other way to handle it really.

Ray Rice had a career 4.3 YPC and ran for 1000+ yards in 4 of his last 5 seasons. In one of his last games, he ran for 131 yards and won the Super Bowl. Dude could ball. Dude is unemployed.

I dunno. His stats indicated that his career was on the downside. It was also the first huge shot at the league and I don't think any team wanted to get in on that.

If the Chiefs are inventing him lying as cause to fire him when he didn't lie or they already knew then there is a massive lawsuit from the NFLPA for breach of contract just sitting there waiting to happen.

Even as a diehard Chiefs fan, I agree 100% with their decision....in fact I want to go further, I want to know what Brett Veach and Andy Reid knew.

I just refuse to believe they didn't know the extent of the incident or of the video.

Joe Mixon says hi. Hunt is 23 and one of the best backs in the league. He'll find a team after his suspension. It's going to suck, but it's going to happen.
Joe Mixon happened pre-NFL. Mixon served his probation clean and also settled his civil suit against the woman. People have short memories when dealing with college vs Pros.

...I somewhat joke but honestly the fact that there's video the public can view at anytime changes things.

Ray Rice also knocked a woman out and dragged her around.

When was there a black woman assaulted/reported and the player not suspended?

If Ray Rice wasn't filmed he wouldn't have been suspended. Okay but that goes both ways. If hunt wasn't filmed he would still be playing. He WAS playing all season with these allegations. What's the difference. Video evidence. Not a very good argument there

Rice was 28 for the 2015 season, that's why no one signed him. 28 might as well be 40 if you're a running back. Production falls off a cliff.

Gotta give the Chiefs a lot of credit here. There's a good chance this tanks their season and they did it because it was the right thing to do.

If he's still on that commissioner suspension where he can't practice play or do anything, can anyone actually claim him this season?

Well fuck

If you look at Ray Rice's last year you'd see the Ravens OL was complete trash. Flacco had one of his worst years passing, and even the back up HBs couldn't do anything behind that OL.

Hunt cant play this year anyway since he was on the Commissioners exempt list. So I imagine he will get signed next season, serve a few games suspension, and then be back like nothing happened. It is a shitty situation but the league has already shown it doesn't care.
