My brother and I have talk about this multiple times and have agreed that we would both have 0 problems paying for a service thats sole purpose was to entirely filter out toxic players from online play. Yesterday i was sent two different messages through xbl the first telling me to "choke" and the second telling me to "kys" (stands for kill yourself) all because i wasn't carrying my team well enough in Rb6 siege. My brother and I were the top two players on our team with one other useful teammate and two useless teammates window peaking and going 0-0-5. I reported both messages but the problem with xbox live is that i believe it is WAY to easy to create smurf accounts for games like RB6 siege and Overwatch. This is what i assume is going on as the majority of extremely toxic players i have encountered all have extremely low gamerscore.
The assumption i have is that players who do not utilize game sharing or only have one console, have said console set as their home xbox (as it should be) on their primary xbox account. Any content that has been purchased on that account, can be accessed by any gamertag/account on that same xbox (since its set to being the home xbox). The issue being that users can create an endless supply of smurf accounts, be as toxic as they want while obeying absolutely none of the rules outlined by MS terms of service, have access to all of their content (xbl, gamepass, ea access, any full digital purchase etc.), while being at zero risk of losing any of said content. Again this is just my assumption, but i do feel it is likely that it is taking place on some scale.
