Games I think are the most likely to be shown at the Game Awards 2018 by the biggest publishers if they're going to TGA. And of course I'm not saying every game in that list is going to be ;)

Microsoft - Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Take Two - Borderlands 3 / Obsidian New IP
Activision Blizzard - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Electronic Arts - Anthem
Fox - Alien: Blackout
Epic - Fortnite
Bethesda - DOOM Eternal
Warner Bros - Netherrealm game
Ubisoft - Splinter Cell
CD Projekt - Cyberpunk 2077
PUBG Corp. - PUBG
Nintendo - Metroid Prime 4 / Metroid Prime Trilogy HD / Bayonetta 3
Sony - Death Stranding / Dreams / Ghost of Tsushima
SEGA - Creative Assembly New IP
Square Enix - Project Avengers
Capcom - Devil May Cry V
Bandai Namco - Jump Force / Fast & Furious
Cygames - New IP

Cygames have their own event in a few days, I don't expect them to be at TGA. Most People probably never even heard of them

Let's run 'em down.

Microsoft - Maybe. Only big thing they have coming atm.
Take Two - Obsidian New IP confirmed
Activision - Wait, Sekiro belongs to who? Uhm, sure why not? Was revealed here anyway.
EA: Anthem, confirmed. Also Dragon Age news, though WHAT Dragon Age we don't know.
Fox: Very likely.
Epic: Also highly likely.
Bethesda: Maybe.
Warner Bros: I'd actually bet more on Rocksteady for now, believe it or not.
Ubisoft: ...Uhm. Either Watch Dogs or Beyond Good and Evil 2. Splinter Cell was in the pitch stage last time they talked about it. BGE2 has gotten information every six months since E3 2018. In fact, a few days before TGA last time they announced a stream for it to show how far they'd come. And it's past time for WD3, which they said was in development when they brought up the construction of a new studio awhile back.
CD Projekt: Honestly, we've seen so much of CP2077 I wouldn't be surprised not to see them at all.
PUBG Corp: I imagine Geoff definitely asked if they had anything, and I can't see why they wouldn't show up if they do.
Nintendo: MP4 and Bayonetta 3 seem very likely. Bayo 3 was introduced here I believe, and MP4 has already been announced. This is a good place to show a first look to hype people.
Sony: Death Stranding? For sure. Dreams? Maybe. Ghost? Ehhhh.
SEGA: No idea.
Square Enix: If the Russo Bros are just there to give an award that's silly.
Capcom: ...Almost definitely, honestly.
Bandai Namco: Maaaaybe? If they really care they'll unveil the new Tales here.
Cygames: What new IP? Granblue? Project Awakening?

This would be an incredible show actually.

Bioware is likely to have Dragon Age (4?) there as well.

e: nvm missed that under the EA section

Obsidian's game is the only previously unannounced title that's been officially confirmed to be there, yes?

That seems like a great lineup. Is it confirmed we'll get something from each publisher?

No problem, that was quite the long list lol. I certainly hope it is DA4. I'm not a remaster guy, I'd cry if they were packaging DAO and DA2 together and that was the announcement.

Geoff said most of the major publishers would be showing up. Now showing up could be an update or a new announcement, so who knows? The guy I quoted had some solid guesses though.

Seeing as TLOU 2 footage was included in the latest Game Awards trailer, new trailer/gameplay confirmed? This is gonna be a good show.

They just need to remove the useless awards (if you are not going to present it to the developers but instead announce it super quick just don't do it, give it to them after the show) and tighten the presentation a little and we will have a show I would not be ashamed to invite my family to watch.

I think Cygames is supposed to have a new IP (other than Awakening) that they want to make big in the West and reveal this year. With only one month left, getting a reveal trailer at TGA is more and more likely. Should have mentioned Watch Dogs 3 too. Where is this Dragon Age talk coming from tho?

But that's how every awards show is like, pretty sure people at least want to be mentioned by name once instead of never

When has Nintendo ever announced something big at this show? Yeah, metroid will be revealed at E3 2019.

Nintendo show up pretty regularly. First gameplay of BOTW was shown here. Bayonetta 3 announcement. I might be wrong but wasn't Funky Kong announced at the Game Awards? Doesn't get bigger than that pal.

Funky Kong was announced at Spike VGX 2013. Nintendo showed Mario Maker, BotW and Code Name STEAM at TGA 2014, BotW at TGA 2016, BotW, Bayo 1+2 and Bayo 3 at TGA 2017.

Microsoft: Winter of Arcade (probably something else, though I'm not sure what)
Nintendo: Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 seem likely and would be pretty awesome, Retro would be awesome as well but I guess that'll have to wait til E3
Sony: Death Stranding is a lock
Activision: new Sekiro trailer
Ubi: a sequel to one of their franchises, could be all kinds of things
Square Enix: Avengers is all but confirmed now
WB: Mortal Kombat 11 and probably Rocksteady as well
Capcom: V has come to Devil May Cry 5
EA: Probably something lame from Battlefield, but Respawn's Star Wars title would be great. EDIT: Forgot about Anthem.

It looks set to be a pretty big night for AAA games as I expect the indies to move to the Kinda Funny showcase.

VGA finally found it's stride. I wasn't a fan of the previous ones until last year's. So I'm happy for Geoff finally working it out and making a good show. If it's as good as last year's then I'll be happy. A good mix of new games announcements and great orchestra. Also less crappy adverts ruining the show. I think they know their audience now and it isn't silly like the old shows. It also helps them that the last 2 years of games released have been insane which makes the awards actually great to watch.

I guess we could also see footage from Nioh 2,since the came up with just a teaser in E3.

And what's going on with this game from last year? I hope we get an update

I know I previously said i wasnt too excited for Game Awards because I think it gets hyped up every year, and can be underwhelming. The Obsidian and possible Metroid announcement has me excited again though.

Rocksteady (instead of Netherrealm) I agree now that Jason Schreier has hinted at it. Should have mentioned Watch Dogs 3 too. Where is this Dragon Age talk coming from tho?

I did some looking and I guess you're right. CyGames does have a new IP they wanted to reveal this year. Not sure they'll do it here and not at Jump Festa though.
You figure Rocksteady's new game is either at TGA, E3 2019, or at this point is just a next gen title.
But yeah, the stage is set for Watch Dogs 3 to be coming next year. They don't have that many AAA titles coming in 2019: The Division 2, Skull & Bones, and....? Beyond Good and Evil 2 isn't coming out next year lol. They confirmed Assassin's Creed is not happening, and the last time they did that Watch Dogs 2 came out.
But with Dragon Age...

If you've been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we're also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we're excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won't tell you where to look…)

Thanks! The Game Awards 2018 might actually be better than e3 2018 for me, and it will probably be even bigger next year. Geoff is doing a great job.

Wouldn't be hard to beat most of E3 aside from Microsoft's appearance. Sony phoned it in, Ubisoft mostly showed off games revealed the previous year, Square shat the bed, and Nintendo's E3 was basically mostly Smash.

Just to be clear I have absolutely no idea if Rocksteady's game will be at TGAs.

Its amazing to see how the GA have envolved during the years. Yeah there's few mistakes last year, but they have the potential to be big, mainstream big.

No, it's an already announced game.
It would 100% count as a gameplay reveal. But the title has been shown already.

If they want to be specific, we would be seeing gameplay for the very first time, and that is definitely a reveal. Same goes for Bayonetta 3. Both could have "worldwide exclusive gameplay reveals"

Yeah, and neither of them are one of the "10 NEW game announcements". They would fall into the category of updates on already existing games.
